OUT IN THE COLD

También Judas Priest fue atraído hacia el sonido americano que tanto pego en mitad de los 80, y este disco es prueba de ello, se trata del "Turbo" de 1986, un disco con una fórmula mucho más hard rockera - comercial, que sin embargo solo le duró a la banda hasta su siguiente obra, "Ram It dawn", dos años más tarde, 1988, entre otras cosas porque este sonido del "Turbo" no es el más natural en ellos, y porque les llovieron las críticas con su edición, algo que, como digo el grupo se encargo de atajar de raíz con sus dos siguientes albumes, más duros, más heavy metal, "Ram It Dawn" y "Painkiller", de los que ya hemos hablado en el blog. Volviendo al "Turbo", de 1986, su undécimo disco de estudio, si tenemos en cuenta esa fórmula más hard rockera - comercial, vemos un disco de excelente calidad, fuera de su heavy metal más crudo, pero igualmente bueno, y es que no deja de ser Judas Priest, y eso es mucho decir. Es evidente que al defensor "tachuelado" de los Judas más clásicos se habrá cagado una y mil veces en la obra, (en público), para después, seguramente, seguir escuchándolo y disfrutándolo en su casa, en privado, y es que en esto del heavy metal, como no podía ser de otra forma, hay también mucha hipocresía, porque negarle la calidad a este disco es simplemente absurdo. Buen ejemplo de ello es el tema que dejo hoy en el blog, su medio tiempo "Out in the cold", temazo, sin lugar a dudas, una soberbia canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
