THE  VOYAGE

Paso adelante de los griegos "Sacred Outcry", una banda que ya me dejo un excelente sabor de boca con su debut de 2020 y que en este 2023 editarán su segundo LP, "Towers of gold" el proximo mes de mayo. Paso al frente en lo referente al fichaje para la banda de uno de mis cantantes preferidos, Daniel Heiman, quien ya ha frecuentado la escena griega en la fantástica también banda "Warrior Path", veremos si sigue en futuras obras de la misma (lo cual sería genial pues sus dos discos hasta la fecha me han enganchado mucho) o se centra solo en Sacred Outcry. De momento el grupo ha dejado en estos días su primer adelanto de la segunda obra titulado "The Voyage" y del que dejo hoy un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Sacred Outcry - Farewell

 

FAREWELL

Un proyecto más de la cantera griega, tan en forma ultimamente, y uno más que aprovecha el tirón del cantante Yannis Papadopoulos, tan conocido por su labor sobre todo en Beast In Black, quien parece ser la elección de moda en lo masculino, algo así como Noora Louhimo en versión femenina. El caso es que la banda de hoy se llama "Sacred Outcry", con un concepto heavy power de corte épico, muy en la onda del concepto de esa escuela griega, y una banda en la que los miembros recalcan que muchos de los temas que la componen llevan dos décadas compuestos y de su intento por mantener el espiritu primigenio de la composición puede tener ese aire de comienzos de siglo, de hecho el grupo se forma en 1998 y su primera época dura hasta 2004, editando dos demos en dicho periodo que contenían varios de los temas que han editado en su primer LP cuya fecha oficial de salida es este inminente 25 de septiembre. Este segundo periodo de actividad de la banda se produce desde 2015 en adelante y curiosamente no cuentan con un cantante oficial, de momento el vocalista invitado es Yannis, como he mencionado al comienzo, veremos si el futuro permite al pluriempleado cantante hacerse cargo también de la parte vocal de este grupo de forma permanente.
