ZERO  BELOW  THE  SUN

Como era de esperar esta segunda obra de "Euphoreon" va revelando sus secretos, poco a poco a medida que lo vas escuchando, y aunque es evidente desde la primera vez que te enfrentas a la obra que estamos ante un gran trabajo, (una vez más), es en la escucha detallada y atenta en la que realmente se le saca todo el valor al disco. Como ya he dicho anteriormente respecto a la banda, por ponerles un pero, sería deseable una mayor continuidad en lo que a editar material se refiere, aunque el importante resultado final quizá justifique un poco la tardanza, sea como fuere, esperemos que el grupo continue por esta misma senda de la calidad durante mucho tiempo para regalarnos más obras del estilo, aunque teniendo en cuenta que parecen haber dejado la banda en un estatus "pausado", y que a pesar del gran resultado que su propia producción de la obra una vez más parece que no hay discográficas dispuestas a apoyar la carrera del grupo, una vez más algo difícil de entender. Canciones para una vida - Euphoreon - Euphoria

EUPHORIA

 Euphoreon es una banda de la que ya hablé en su momento en el blog, un grupo de origen neozelandés y alemán cuyo sonido se enmarca en un death melódico de altísima calidad. Tras la edición de su debut en 2011, "Euphoreon" como el nombre de la banda, ahora, finalmente y tras 7 años de espera nos regalan su segundo esfuerzo musical en forma de LP. Como ya he comentado en alguna ocasión en el blog, este tipo de bandas, desconocidas en general, no en pocas ocasiones ponen una sonrisa en la cara a todo aquel melómano sediento de material que descubrir. En esta ocasión estamos ante una banda en la que dos miembros se reparten todas y cada una de las funciones que normalmente corresponderían a al menos cinco músicos, y además se encargan de la "Auto producción" de la obra. El resultado es simplemente interesante, limpio y óptimo para todo amante del género al que le guste la calidad. En esta segunda entrega pues, encontramos una continuación fiel al concepto compositivo e interpretativo de la primera, y de este segundo LP quiero hoy dejar en el blog la canción "Euphoria", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube. Esperemos que en el futuro la banda tenga algo más de continuidad, visto el buen hacer que se gastan.

BEFORE THE BLACKENED SKY

Otra de esas bandas demasiado anónimas hoy en día si tenemos en cuenta su calidad, en este caso se trata de los neozelandeses "Euphoreon", una banda que hace muy poquito que conozco gracias a una buena recomendación y que cumple perfectamente bien las expectativas para todos los amantes del death melódico de calidad, de hecho, este grupo, perfectamente hubieses podido jurar que eran del mismo corazón nórdico europeo si lo escuchas y no sabes de su procedencia más "exótica", aunque hoy en día está todo ya más globalizado, pero desde luego la tradición de este sonido nos suele llegar de los Finlandia, Suecia, Noruega o Alemania.... y además ellos parece que están afincados en Alemania. En definitiva, un gran disco para los amantes del death técnico, tipo... Norther, Imperanon, Skyfire o incluso Wintersun aunque menos folk. La banda se forma en 2009, como decía más arriba en Nueva Zelanda, y como tantas otras bandas se han tenido que buscar la vida autoeditándose el disco, sin embargo la producción no se resiente demasiado teniendo a nivel técnico un sonido más que decente, notable diría yo. El grupo lo integran solo dos músicos, Eugen Dodenhoeft que se encarga del bajo, guitarra rítmica, batería y voz limpia (y también death), y Matt Summerville que atiende a la guitarra principal y voz death, entre ambos se lo guisan y se lo comen todo y la verdad es que muy bien. Han editado tan solo este LP, en 2011, de título homónimo al nombre del grupo "Euphoreon", una obra completa, que deja un buen sabor de boca en general y que promete que a poca continuidad que le pongan a su trabajo y un apoyo de alguna discográfica que tampoco estaría mal, den mayor repercusión a su nombre musical. Quiero dejar en el blog uno de sus temas, uno de los que más me han gustado desde las primeras escuchas, "Before the blackened sky", un temazo del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
