BEYOND  THE  RAINBOW  BRIDGE

Sigue avanzando la carrera musical de los austriacos Dragony, quizá encontrando cada vez más su propio espacio, su propio sonido, siempre enmarcado en un power sinfónico, con cuidada producción y mezclando en lo lírico la fantasía con los hechos históricos dando a sus historias un toque muy personal. El nuevo disco "Hic sunt dracones" será el quinto de su discografía y verá la luz el próximo mes de octubre y de él quiero dejar en el blog su primer aselanto, "Beyond the rainbow bridge" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Noticias compositivas de los austriacos "Dragony" en forma de un single en principio sin noticias por mi parte de que vaya a formar parte de un nuevo LP, aunque cabría perfectamente que así fuese teniendo en cuenta la inrecia compositiva de la banda en los últimos años y que el último LP del grupo sea ya de 2021. Es otro de esos grupos que han dado un paso adelante en los últimos años y además se le nota bastante la mano en la producción de Seeb Levermann que en ese apartado a padrinado también a esta banda. Como siempre power metal melódico y en cierta medida sinfónico, encarnado en esta ocasión en el mencionado al inicio de esta reseña single titulado "The deade queen's race" del que hoy dejo en el blog un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Dragony - Darkness Within

 

DARKNESS  WITHIN

Con este album conceptual histórico sobre los orígenes e historia de su Austria natal, la banda Dragony da un paso adelante más en su carrera musical centrados plenamente en ese concepto power de corte europeo con guiños al sonido clásico del subgénero. Como punto extra la obra la ha producido Seeb Levermann de Orden Ogan, un tipo muy acostumbrado a dar ese toque extra a multitud de bandas además de lo que ya hace con su banda madre, El resultado final es una obra en consonancia con lo hecho por el grupo desde el comienzo pero ya con ese punto asentado, la trayectoria se les nota y ejecutan perfectamente aquello que se han propuesto. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog otro de los temas de este caurto LP "Viribus Unitis" de este 2021, concretamente "Darkness Within", con ese ramalazo Hammefall de los incios, los coros son absolutamente clonicos, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

GODS  OF  WAR

Ya tenemos disponible el primero de los adelantos de la nueva obra de estudio de los austriacos "Dragony", "Gods of war", perteneciente a su cuarto LP, "Viribus Unitis", que verá la luz el próximo 15 de enero, por lo tanto es el primer material del 2021, ya casi inminente, que dejo en el blog, esperemos que sea mejor en todo que este 2020, aunque en lo musical este año aún presente no ha estado nada mal en líneas generales. Volviendo al tema, este "Gods of war" nos muestra todos los rasgos propios y esperables de la banda, un power de corte europeo, un tanto en la línea de Sabaton y compañía,. Veremos como de completo resulta el LP, hasta ese momento abramos boca con este primer single del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Dragony - If It Bleeds We Can Kill It

IF  IT  BLEEDS  WE CAN  KILL IT

Parece que la carrera musical de los austriacos "Dragony" coge velocidad de crucero con la edición de su tercer larga duración "Masters of the multiverse" salido a la venta el pasado 12 de octubre. Sin duda este trabajo editado bajo el sello "Limb Music" es una confirmación para la banda en su estilo power de corte europeo, más de lo mismo a lo que nos tenían acostumbrados en su material anterior, un sonido híbrido por ejemplo entre bandas como Freedom Call y Sabaton, con su temática épico fantástica y su continua redundancia en lo melódico. Va, ya la banda, hacia su primera década de existencia y se nota que están a gusto en el nicho sonoro que han escogido para desarrollar su carrera, con una cuidada producción siempre que hace de la escucha de su material nuevo también un ejercicio fácil sobre todo si lo tuyo es el power. CALL  OF  THE  WILD

Segundo de los temas nuevos de este EP "Lords of the hunt", de los austriacos "Dragony", una obra en la que además de los dos citados temas nuevos compuestos para la ocasión nos encontramos con un breve repaso de sus temas preferidos regrabados, bonus tracks y versiones raras, así como un par de videoclips, todo ello celebrando el décimo aniversario del grupo que ante la aún escasa producción discográfica (solo dos LP's a fecha de esta reseña) han optado por esta formula "maxi single" especial en lugar de por un recopilatorio al uso. Desde luego todo aquel que les venga siguiendo se sentirá satisfecho con los dos temas nuevos, muy en la línea de lo esperable de este grupo, coros enganchones, melodías continuas enmarcadas en un power europeo limpio y de producción impecable. Para aquellos que aún no conociesen de sus andanzas musicales se antoja una oportunidad perfecta para descubrir su propuesta. dejo un enlace a youtube de este "Call of the Wild".

Canciones para una vida - Dragony - Lords Of The Hunt

LORDS  OF  THE  HUNT

Un poco más de power metal para hoy de manos de la banda melódica austriaca "Dragony", un grupo con ya una década de existencia a sus espaldas aunque tengan tan solo un par de discos publicados. Dragony se forma en 2007 creado por miembros procedentes de algunas bandas austriacas separadas tales como "Omega Effect" o "Eleftheria". Al principio llamaron al grupo "The dragonslayer project", un nombre que resumía bien los gustos fantásticos que nutren las líricas de las canciones y la linea misma compositiva de las mismas. Al poco cambiarían el nombre por "Dragony" con el que continuan hasta hoy en día. Tras pasar una larga temporada nutriendose de algunas demos y abriendo shows en vivo para bandas tales como Sonara Arctica, Paul Di'Anno o Manticora, en 2011 la banda edita su debut, "Legends" , un disco que levantó bastantes expectativas y que ya mostraba bien de lo que son capaces musicalmente estos tíos. En 2015 editan su segundo LP que no es sino una confirmación de la buena sensación de su debut. Ahora, en 2017, editan un EP, "Lords of the hunt", donde recopilan algunos temas de sus obras regrabados para la ocasión, algunos otros en versiones especiales y alguno completamente nuevo como el que da título al EP, y del que hoy quiero dejar un enlace en el blog, un tema por cierto muy "sabatoniano", y de esos que se meten a la primera en tu cabeza, siempre que te guste el power de corte europeo por supuesto, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
