LAND  OF  SUBMARINES 

Poco a poco, la carrera de los germanos Terra Atlantica sigue adelante, bastante imperceptiblemente para la mayoría, y sin embargo obra tras obra van demostrando su propuesta cada vez más afilada, y en estos más de diez años de existencia desde 2014, este 2025 será testigo de la publicación de su cuarto LP de estudio "Oceans" que verá la luz de forma oficial este próximo 26 de septiembre. En estos días nos deja la banda su adelanto "Land of submarines" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Terra Atlantica - Take Us Home

 

TAKE  US  HOME

La tercera entrega de los germanos "Terra Atlantica" nos la ofrecieron a finales del pasado 2022, un tercer capítulo de título "Beyond the borders" que sigue la estela de sus anteriores propuestas, un power metal melódico con detalles o tramos sinfónicos, y una temática histórico fantástica, con guiños corsarios y un trasfondo "Steampunk". El grupo parece que va dando pasos adelante aunque no se si lo suficiente como para destacar en la abarrotada escena internacional puesto que compositivamente tampoco es que ofrezcan nada demasiado novedoso, algo que sin ser intrensacamente negativo si que puede hacerles diluirse en el universo compositivo del europower. Hoy dejo en el blog uno de los temas que más me llamó la atención de esta tercera obra, concretamente "Take us home" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Terra Atlantica - Gates Of The Netherrealm

 

GATES  OF  THE  NETHERREALM

Segundo Lp de los alemanes "Terra Atlantica" que han editado este 2020, de título "Age Of Steam" y donde dan continuidad al muy interesante debut de 2017 "The city once divine". Para ser justos con mi sensación inicial, en realidad esperaba un paso más consistente en este segundo LP, y me refiero  no a la contundencia compositiva sino a que se notase más la evolución y asentamiento con respecto al debut. Para nada es que este segundo album resulte ser malo, y posiblemente se trate más de las expectativas que despertó en mí su debut que a otro particular. sea como sea seguimos en esa onda power de corte europeo, con su temática "Steampunk" o retrofuturísta como linea estética y argumental y con buenos momentos musicales como el que hoy quiero dejar en el blog, en esta ocasión en forma de la canción "Gates of the netherrealm" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Terra Atlantica - Poseidon's Wrath

POSEIDON'S  WRATH

Justo en estos días se cumple un año de la salida a la venta del primer trabajo de estudio de los alemanes "Terra Atlantica", un grupo en clave de power metal de corte europeo que inicia su camino musical como banda de una buena manera en un tiempo repleto de bandas que inundan el mercado internacional. Es igualmente indudable que no están inventando nada nuevo, y es que eso es algo realmente cada vez más difícil de conseguir, sin embargo su virtud es hacer bien lo que se proponen dentro del camino clásico compositivo dentro del citado campo del power metal. Ya dejé hace unos meses un tema de la obra y hoy quiero dejar otra de las canciones que más me han gustado de este debut, concretamente "Poseidon's Wrath", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Terra Atlantica - The Avenging Narwhal

THE  AVENGING  NARWHAL

Terra Atlantica es una banda alemana bastante nueva, cuyo sonido podríamos acotar en un power metal de corte europeo, con preponderancia de melodías y un aire compositivo clásico dentro del género. Poca información encontramos aún sobre ellos, pero su primer LP y único hasta la fecha de esta reseña nos enseña un buen nivel. En esta primera obra flirtean mucho con la temática marítima, en letras y ambientación, sin llegar a tener una intención clara hacia lo pirata si que en ocasiones su sonido deja "ramalazos" a lo Alestorm, sin ese componente folk pero con un gran gusto compositivo. Formados en 2014 ha sido el pasado 2017 cuando han editado este "A city once divine" del que hoy quiero dejar una canción en el blog, en concreto "The avenging narwhal" con artista invitado y todo, Mikael Holst, de "Timeless Miracle", una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube. En definitiva, los amantes del power europeo estamos ante el nacimiento de otra banda más, veremos hasta donde llega su aventura.
