SPACE  AND  TIME

Vamos con el primer trabajo de los canadienses "Ravenous" con el que dieron a conocer su energico power metal, sin tregua, que reparte melodía y energía a partes iguales, sin bajar el listón y parecen haber tomado esa actitud compositiva como parte de su identidad. Formados en 2016 empiezan editando un EP en 2017, después y hasta la fecha de esta reseña, son ya tres los LP's de estudio que conforman su discografía. Como digo su debut en este formato "Eat The fallen" data de 2019, y en el encontramos ya una auténtica declaración de intenciones como por ejemplo en el tema "Space and time" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Ravenous - Carnage In Carthage

 

CARNAGE  IN  CARTHAGE

Ravenous es una banda canadiense de power metal que en estos días ha presentado su segundo LP de estudio, es por lo tanto una banda de aún bastante reciente formación, (2016) que practican un power metal del que se pueden sacar muchos matices y semejanzas pero utilizadas de tal manera que dan a la banda a su vez un sello bastante propio y personal, si bien no estamos ante un power de corte 100% europeo, si que sin embargo termino por encontrar mayor afinidad a este último que al nativo de la banda. Estamos ante un grupo que gusta de las composiciones llenas de melodía, con coros enganchones y con letras por lo general que versan en muchas ocasiones sobre temática histórica. En 2019 editan su debut, "Eat the fallen", y como decía más arriba en este 2021 han editado su segundo esfuerzo compositivo titulado  "Hubris", del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog el tema que abre la obra, "Carnage In Carthage", gran presentación del album de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
