THE CLOUDING
Poco a poco va tratando de levantar cabeza el bueno de Jon Schaffer tras su episodio político en su Estados Unidos natal, algo que le ha costado el rechazo de buena parte de sus colegas músicos, por ejemplo la notificación oficial por parte de Hansi Kursch de que no continuará en su colaboración con Jon a trave´s de su proyecto comun "Demonds and wizards", una lástima. De momento Schaffer ha encontrado salida en editar material viejo recopilandolo, un clásico cuando hace falta dinero y las ideas o los medios no abundan. En este caso editará dos EP's que recuperan temas de discos pasados, con rarezas y directos de la época en que Owens y Barlow iban y venían a la voz de la banda. El segundo de los EP's se titula "I walk among you" y en el se incluye por ejemplo el tema "The clouding" con Matt Barlow a la voz, originalmente grabado para el disco "Framing Armageddon" de 2007 con Tim Ripper Owens a la voz, tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

This strange beauty surrounds me

I try to speak but empty eyes stare back at me,
twisted tongues segregate, factions are forming.
I’ll stay with those that resemble me to
survive this harsh reality.
As the days pass most
have gone their own way,
nomadic tribes discover life
in a world that feels so strange.
But still I want answers!
What’s the point,
what does all this mean?
Take this sense of wonder, make it go away!

Lies, the human core is lies!
We wiped their minds, cleaned the slate,
the clouding did divide.
Fate, we sealed human fate!
Now they're ours throughout
all time to manipulate
Never trust in the motives of Man,
they failed to evolve in Mother Nature's plan.
And though they seem safe in this early clouded state
the nature of their heresy has proven quite innate.
Pain, mankind will know pain
for their crimes on our kind.
They’ll never be the same!
Death, they will know death!
Suffering for centuries,
at war with every breath.
Never trust in the motives of Man,
