NANNA'S  FATE

El tercer trabajo de los suecos se ha hecho de rogar más de lo que previamente lo había hecho el segundo de ellos respecto del primero, pero parece ya imparable a través de su promoción la irrupción de "Fimbulvinter" cuya salida oficial esperamos para el primero de noviembre de este 2024. Igualmente los adelantos no van mostrando exactamente el sonido esperable de los discos anteriores, primero a través de su tema "heavy metal viking" que mostró un ramalazo modernete quizá demasiado acusado, y este "Nanna's fate" que se mueve en los terrenos del medio tiempo donde no se desata la velocidad al 100%, lo que da una cierta incertidumbre del resultado total final de la nueva obra, por otra parte la impoluta trayectoria de la banda hasta el momento es al final suficiente garantía para dar el beneficio de la duda en este sentido. El meteórico ascenso de los suecos Brothers Of Metal es un hecho innegable, su fórmula llega deprisa al gran público, y a medida que han ido girando por medio planeta el foco de lo próximo que hagan estará sobre ellos seguro, veremos como lidian con esa presión. BERSERKIR

Es innegable la pegada de la banda sueca "Brothers of metal", grupo que en el breve aún periodo de tiempo de existencia que tiene ha conseguido ya volver las miradas del gran público con cada paso que dan adelante en su carrera. Solo dos LP's han bastado, y así, desde 2017 en que debutaron compositivamente, 2023 parece destinado a ver la publicación de su tercer LP que debería ser el de su consolidación definitiva y del que aún al menos yo no tengo noticia de fecha o título. De lo que si han dejado constancia es de un segundo single en este 2022, "Berserkir" que presumiblemente debería formar parte de ese hipotético tercer LP, canción de la que hoy dejo en el blog un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Brothers Of Metal - The Other Son Of Odin

 

THE  OTHER  SON  OF  ODIN

Resultaba previsible que los suecos "Brothers Of Metal", vista la tradición compositiva desde su formación en 2012 pero sobre todo desde su comienzo real en la publicación de obras, desde 2017, que este 2022 tenía muchas papeletas para ser testigo de su tercera obra de estudio, y parece ser que en estos días estamos viendo los primeros pasos en ese sentido con este primer single que pertenecerá a la nueva obra de la que por otra parte aún no ha trascendido título ni por supuesto fecha de publicación. Igualmente, atendiendo a la calidad de sus dos pirmeros trabajos parece presumible que la tercera obra siga esos pasos, algo que confirma el nuevo tema, "The other son of Odin" que hoy dejo en el blog. Estos tíos tienen muy bien cogido el punto, tienen esa capacidad para meterte sus canciones en la cabeza desde la primera escucha y que allí permanezcan ya en adelante. Buena noticia pues las nuevas señales de vida compositiva de la banda a través de este "The other son of Odin" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

EMBLAS  SAGA

Estos momentos del año son siempre buenos para hacer un resumen de lo que ha dado este 2020 de sí en lo musical, de cuales han sido las obras que a uno más le han llenado, que bandas nuevas han aparecido en escena o que grupos han crecido en su carrera particularmente. Y si hacemos este ejercicio en este 2020 no podía faltar la segunda de las obras de los suecos "Brothers Of Metal" de la que he traido ya al blog gran parte de lo que supone este "Emblas Saga". La verdad es que poco más que añadir, solo reiterar una vez más la realidad que ya supone este grupo en la escena internacional y la promesa de alcanzar la cima absoluta de seguir esta línea en futuras producciones. Que mejor manera reconocer la valía de esta obra que dejando otro de sus temas, y que mejor que el que da nombre a la misma, "Emblas saga", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Una vez más de vuelta con los suecos "Brothers of metal" , una banda que sigue en ascenso como no podía ser de otra manera, y que ve plasmado el aumento de popularidad en sus futuras actividades como banda, como por ejemplo formar parte de la gira de los alemanes Orden Ogan junto con los italianos Wind Rose, toda una propuesta que no dudaré en experimentar si tengo la ocasión allá para invierno. Desde luego la segunda obra de Brothers of metal es completamente recomendable como ya lo fuera su debut, y de este "Emblas saga" dejo hoy en el blog este "Kaunaz Dagaz" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

ONE

 Cada nuevo tema que aparece en el blog de este grupo sueco de aún reciente formación es en realidad una confirmación de lo que viene por delante, si hacen las cosas bien, una promesa de las próximas metas que una banda como esta tiene el potencial de alcanzar, una demostración de que ese futuro es ya, y desde el primer momento presente real, y es que el hacer bien las cosas siempre suele llevar a buen puerto todo, o al menos así debería ser, porque en esto de la música en concreto hay situaciones muy injustas, pero este no parece ser el caso. Sin duda este "One" que hoy dejo en el blog es buen ejemplo de lo que digo, al menos a mí personalmente esta banda me ha llegado bien adentro, esperemos que sigan en la buena línea muchos años. Canciones para una vida - Brothers Of Metal - Theft Of The Hammer

THEFT  OF  THE  HAMMER

Nada más que añadir a lo dicho en las anteriores entradas sobre la banda, o sobre la obra, lo que es indudable es que, personalmente, desde el inicio de la carrera de este grupo sueco me han entrado por el ojo derecho, me ha gustado mucho su concepto y su ejecución, ya demostradas desde la inicial autoproducción de su disco debut "prophecy of ragnarok" de 2017, que posteriormente se reeditara en 2019 tras la firma de la banda por una gran discográfica, (como no podía ser de otra manera), en esta ocasión AFM records, una buena elección, puesto que está claro el potencial, ya realidad, de esta banda que les encamina con paso firme y a poco que su carrera muestre solidez en el futuro, a encabezar muchos carteles de festivales en un futuro próximo. Sea como sea hoy quiero dejar en el blog la que no será la última canción que traiga al blog de su última obra de estudio, "Emblas Saga" del presente 2020, concretamente el tema "Theft of the hammer" otro más de los muchos que componen el disco y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

BROTHERS  UNITE

Nuevamente estos chicos han dado en el clavo, y en este segundo LP parecen destinados a conquistar la escena internacional definitivamente. Con una obra nuevamente buena en su conjunto, se ve como el grupo sigue la senda ya mostrada en el extraordinario debut "Prophecy of Ragnarok" de 2017, y así, en este "Emblas Saga" del presente 2020, se repiten muchas o todas la virtudes que les pusieron en el mapa metálico en la anterior obra. Como digo, obra completa, recomendable en su conjunto, sobre todo si te agradó el debut, y de la que no será sin duda esta canción la última que deje en el blog. En esta ocasión dejo su "Brothers Unite" al más puro estilo de la banda, canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Esta será la primera entrada del blog con una canción perteneciente a una obra que se editará la segunda década de este siglo XXI, puesto que la salida a la venta de la segunda obra, (muy esperada) de los suecos "Brothers Of Metal" se espera para el próximo 10 de Enero de 2020. "Emblas Saga", como digo segunda obra del grupo, promete, por lo escuchado en este primer adelanto "Njord" seguir los pasos de su debut "Prophecy Of Ragnarok", inicialmente publicada sin apoyo discográfico en 2017 y posteriormente con el apoyo de "AFM Records", que supieron ver lo que venía en términos de potencial, reeditado en 2018. Siguiendo con el apoyo de la citada discográfica, editan esta segunda obra de la que dejo en el blog pues el primero de sus singles, "Njord", canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Brothers Of Metal - Concerning Norns & Yggdrasil

CONCERNING  NORNS & YGGDRASIL

Tan solo dejar otro de los temas de la única obra de estudio hasta el momento de esta banda sueca "Brothers Of Metal", una de las sorpresas musicales de 2017 en mi opinión, y de la que ya he hablado anteriormente en el blog en varias ocasiones, una obra editada digitalmente en abril del 17 y que en noviembre del pasado año vio su edición física en formato CD, increiblemente a juzgar por calidad compositiva y producción sin apoyo de discográfica alguna. Esperemos que este sea solo el primero de muchos pasos en una carrera musical que al menos ha despertado en mí grandes expectativas. Dejo hoy en el blog la canción "Yggdrasil" precedida por la intro "Concerning Norns", uno de los temas que más me gustan de la obra, y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

GODS  OF  WAR

 Otra de las muchas canciones destacables de esta magnífica primera obra de los suecos "Brothers of Metal" y posiblemente la mejor de todas las que componen este primer álbum puede ser este "Gods Of War", con todos los elementos que caracterizan el sonido de un grupo, que salvo alguna cosa rara está destinado a dar mucho que hablar en el futuro. La verdad es que Brothers of Metal les va que ni pintado como nombre, con una temática muy épica y en su primera obra viquinga y una formación con más miembros de lo habitual, dos cantantes, (masculino y femenina), tres guitarristas, bajista, batería y hasta narrador. El grupo se forma en 2012 editándose este primer y, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, único LP, editado de forma digital en abril de 2017 y en CD físico en noviembre de ese mismo año. Canciones para una vida - Brothers Of Metal - Defenders Of Valhalla

DEFENDERS  OF  VALHALLA

Vuelvo hoy a esta obra de la banda sueca "Brothers of metal", como ya dije en la anterior entrada sobre la banda, un grupo nuevo, formado en 2012 y que tan solo ha editado, a fecha de esta reseña, este "Prophecy of Ragnarok" de este pasado 2017, un disco que, tras su escucha pausada y repetida no puedo sino recomendar e su conjunto, una de las obras revelación del pasado 2017 y una promesa realista del potencial enorme que atesora este grupo. Todo ello queda potenciado aún más por su falta de apoyo discográfico teniendo ellos mismos que producirse el disco. Es indudable que a una banda se le ve el potencial casi instantáneamente, y en esta ocasión basta con pinchar cualquiera de sus temas para darse cuenta de ello, valga como ejemplo otro de los temas que más me han llamado la atención de la obra, "Defenders of Valhalla", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Brothers Of Metal - Prophecy Of Ragnarok

PROPHECY  OF  RAGNAROK

Brothers Of Metal son una banda sueca de reciente formación cuya carrera por lo tanto está tan solo en sus comienzos. Con un estilo basado en un heavy metal - power metal de corte clásico su pretensión ha sido desde su formación según ellos mismos reconocen añadir un toque épico, un tanto true si se quiere con el añadido de unas cuantas pinceladas algo más moderno y la formación cuenta con nada menos que siete miembros (aparte de su "narrador"), entre los que se incluyen tres guitarristas y dos vocalistas, masculino y femenino, con voces asperas y limpias. El uso de coros épicos, el buen gusto y acierto compositivo con la creación de continuas y acertadas melodías otorgan a estos chicos el beneficio de su potencial ya plasmado en la que, hasta la fecha de esta reseña resulta ser sú primera y única obra de estudio, su primer LP "Prophecy Of Ragnarök", salido a la venta hace tan solo un mes. Hoy quiero recomendar en el blog a esta buena banda, con ese sonido que ellos autodenominan "Ragna-rock", lo que hace alusión a su gusto por la temática nórdica a la hora de afrontar las letras de sus temas, algo que igualmente nos puede dar una pista de cual es su intención musical. Concretamente quiero dejar su canción "Prophecy Of Ragnarok" que da título a la obra y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su Lyric Video Oficial.
