INQUISITION 

El 22 de agosto saldrá a la venta de forma oficial en nuevo trabajo de las suizas Burning Witches, el que será su sexto LP de estudio desde que se formasen en 2015 volviendo a mostrar que son una propuesta musical más allá de su reclamo como banda de "chicas monas", algo que sin un argumento musical serio sería imposible de sostener. Las suizas Burning Witches siguen su camino adelante compositivamente hablando con un par de singles aislados el recién pasado 2024, tras su cuarto trabajo en formato LP "The dark tower" de 2023, en lo que puede interpretarse como un hipotético avance aún sin confirmar de un quinto album para este 2025. El segundo de los mencionados singles lleva por título "Mirror Mirror" y de él quiero dejar en el blog un enlace a youtube.

THE  DARK  TOWER

Poco a poco va desarrollandose la carrera musical de esta banda, "Burning Witches", las suizas que centran su sonido en un concepto clásico y que solo desde 2015 en que se formaron han editado ya cuatro LP's de estudio, y el inminente quinto "The dark tower" cuya salida oficial se espera para mitad de mayo. A todo esto hay que añadirle dos trabajos más en formato EP, lo que habla de un compromiso grande por alcanzar la cima. El primero de los adelantos del nuevo trabajo lleva el mismo título que la obra, y de él dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial, "Burning Witches", sin duda algo más que fachada, (que sin duda tienen).

Canciones para una vida - Burning Witches - Flight Of The Valkyries

 

FLIGHT  OF  THE  VALKYRIES

Burning Witches es una banda suiza de heavy power metal que se caracteriza por contar en su formación tan solo con mujeres. Esta es una de esas historias ya viejas en esto del heavy metal que despierta siempre ese debate entre los consumidores del estilo musical, siempre con ese estigma de ser una escena mayoritariamente masculina, aunque francamente cada vez menos. Hablamos pues de ese debate entre la capacidad real compositiva de este grupo o una campaña de ventas que al margen de lo musical incluye ese factor sexual tan propicio en una escena para hombres mayoritariamente. Al margen de tal debate viejo como el propio heavy, no deja de ser injusto hacia los componentes de una banda que se esfuerza por desarrollarse en una escena cada vez más saturada, a pesar del indiscutible gancho sexual que las propias componentes del grupo explotan, estamos ante un grupo con un sonido perfectamente ejecutado con composiciones que hacen guiños al sonido clásico y que gustarán a los amantes del heavy metal y el power. Formado en 2015, Burning Witches tiene ya 4 LP's de estudio a los que hay que sumar dos EP's. El cuarto de los citados LP's en realidad no ha sido sacado aún a la venta, "The witch of the north", y la fecha escogida de forma oficial para hacerlo es este próximo 28 de mayo de 2021, aunque nos van dejando las primeras pinceladas, como este "Flight of the valkyries" del que dejo hoy un enlace a youtube.
