Muy poquito queda ya para la publicación oficial del nuevo trabajo de estudio de Warkings, el proyecto internacional ya asentado y por méritos propios y constancia considerado absolutamente una banda como tal. "Armageddon" será ya su quinta obra de estudio y verá la luz de forma oficial el 4 de julio, y en estos días nos han dejado su último adelanto, "kings of Ragnarok" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Segundo adelanto del quinto LP de estudio de la banda internacional Warkings, un proyecto cada vez menos proyecto y cada vez más estable como banda a tiempo completo como queda patente en estos siete años de actividad. Desde luego han encontrado una buena fórmula que repiten obra tras obra con una buena acogida general, y que gusta además de buenas y renombradas colaboraciones como es el caso de este segundo adelanto de "Armageddon", "Genghis Khan" con Orden Ogan poniendo su granito de arena, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Warkings - Armageddon - Canciones Para Una Vida

 

ARMAGEDDON

La verdad es que cuando surgió el proyecto internacional "Warkings" allá por 2018, con su primera obra ese mismo año "Reborn", el lustroso resultado se me antojaba más como el enésimo proyecto para hacer caja y de corto recorrido, un bonito experimento lleno de tópicos y calidad, directo al corazón del metalhead medio para ofrecer el suculento "gusano" en el anzuelo y así recuperar los esfuerzos económicos de turno, sin embargo, siete años después la banda es una propuesta duradera, que va ya por el quinto intento, si contamos este "Armageddon" cuya salida oficial se espera para el próximo mes de julio, a juzgar por el adelanto que van desvelando, y del que dejo hoy un enlace, con el concepto primigenio intacto, de hecho, cada obra mostrando más esa sensación de banda con identidad propia.

TO  THE  KING

Parece que la banda proyecto "Warkings" coge una inercia imparable con cuatro LP's de estudio en cuatro años de existencia, y además en una línea absoluta de obras a considerar, hasta el punto de que por ejemplo la banda de su cantante, el miembro que realmente ha trascendido de la banda que funciona con pseudónimos, como digo la banda del cantante, Serenity, en ese mismo periodo de existencia ha cesado en su publicación de material de estudio con solo un LP en 2020, veremos hacia donde termina llevando esta aventura en clave de un heavy power contundente, bien diseñado y que como digo gana enteros obra tras obra. En estos días dejan el segundo single del cuatro LP, "Morgana" que vera la luz de forma oficial el próximo mes de noviembre, hasta ese momento dejo en el blog un enlace a youtube de este "To the King".

MONSTERS

Si queremos ilustrar lo que es una banda prolífica, desde luego que los nórdicos "Warkings" son un gran ejemplo de ello, ya que desde su formación en 2018, han editado ya cuatro LP's de estudio si incluimos "Morgana" que verá la luz este 2022, concretamente para el mes de noviembre. Para la ocasión se pone en juego un nuevo personaje para la formación en forma de voz femenina, (aunque contundente) bajo el pseudónimo de Morgana Lefay, así pues la banda continúa con ese rol fantástico en que han creado una personalidad para cada miembro. Más allá de lo estético, musicalmente siguen dando grandes alegrías a los seguidores del power y el heavy metal, la calidad de la banda está fuera de toda duda como queda patente en el primer adelanto de la nueva obra, "Monsters" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

FIGHT

Parece que la carrera del proyecto internacional "Warkings", proyecto colaborativo del que ya he hablado en el blog, va a toda velocidad, habiendo editado dos LP's de estudio desde 2018, y mostrando las primeras pinceladas de lo que será su tercer LP "Revolution" para el 20 de agosto de este 2021, en forma de su primer single de adelanto "Fight". Tenemos que tener en cuenta que los músicos implicados son de primera línea y que, como digo, parecen haberle cogido el gustillo a lo de editar discos. Escuchando este adelanto, y mirando la enorme calidad de lo propuesto previamente las expectativas del nuevo material están por todo lo alto. Dejo pues un enlace a youtube de este "Fight".

Canciones para una vida - Warkings - Odin's Sons

ODIN'S  SONS

Nueva confirmación de que Warkings es uno de esos proyectos que por méritos propios se va confirmando como aspirante a banda con todas las de la ley. Es innegable la calidad, la frescura en muchos aspectos, y la versatilidad que se plasma bien por ejemplo en este tema de su segundo LP "Revenge" de este 2020, que hoy quiero dejar en el blog. La canción a la que me refiero es "Odin's sons", temazo no solo por lo compositivo estrictamente hablando sino por la inclusión de una cantante con el registro vocal que aporta al disco. Se trata de Melissa Bonny, quien muy al estilo de Alissa White Gluz de Arch Enemy, ese tono gutural, agresivo, que tan buen contraste hace en este caso con la melodica voz masculina de Georg Neuhauser, parece como un poco el mundo al revés pero ahí está la gracia, y desde luego la composición, como decía más arriba, ayuda y mucho en un tema destacable en una obra por otra parte absolutamente recomendable. Sin más dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial, de este "Odin's Sons" con la colaboración de Melissa, (Queen of the damned) por pseudónimo.

MAXIMUS

Segundo adelanto del que será segundo LP de estudio de la banda internacional "Warkings", ese proyecto de corte power nacido en 2018 y que junta a músicos de primera línea bajo nombres ficticios en un intento por ocultar su verdadera identidad, algo que no puede pasar en el puesto de cantante ya que la voz inconfundible de Georg Neuhauser de "Serenity" resulta imposible de confundir. Este nuevo tema nos deja claro que los tiros compositivos de la obra parecen seguir los pasos del debut, una obra que me gustó mucho, lo que me hace crecer más las ganas de escuchar todo el material nuevo, este "Revenge" cuya salida oficial se espera para este próximo 31 de julio. WARRIORS

Primeros coletazos del segundo capítulo de la banda internacional "Warkings" que de esta manera confirma su apuesta por ser un proyecto duradero a pesar de poderse pensar en un principio que pudiera ser refugio temporal para reunir a músicos de renombre de otras formaciones para dar salida a material extra al de sus bandas madre. Funcionando bajo seudónimos el timbre de voz de Georg Neuhauser de "Serenity" resulta evidente descubriendose así uno de los secretos tras el misterio pero que da idea del nivel de los integrantes de "Warkings". En esta segunda obra de la banda, "Revenge" cuya salida oficial se espera para el próximo 31 de julio, parece seguirse el concepto, tanto compositivo como argumental de lo propuesto en su debut, como queda patente en este, su primer adelanto de la obra, "Warriors", canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Warkings - Battle Cry

BATTLE  CRY

Uno de los proyectos nuevos que más me han gustado del pasado 2018 fue "Warkings", un proyecto internacional del que ya he hablado con anterioridad en el blog y del que hoy quiero dejar otra canción. Como ya dije con anterioridad, se trata de un proyecto nuevo de miembros con experiencia de otras bandas, y con tales premisas no resulta extraño que la calidad esté presente. Destacando sobre el resto la reconocible voz del cantante de "Serenity", el austriaco Georg Neuhauser. Composiciones en clave de un power metal menos sinfónico por ejemplo que el que desempeña Serenity, un un cariz más épico si se quiere, siempre con la melodía presente y un buen trabajo en los coros, todo ello con una producción fantástica, buen gusto compositivo y que cuentan con el apoyo de Napalm Records. Dejo de este, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, su único LP editado, "Reborn", en concreto "Battle Cry", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Warkings - Sparta

SPARTA

"Warkings" o lo que es lo mismo, un proyecto internacional posiblemente inter bandas en el marco del power metal. Nos encontramos ante un proyecto en el que sus integrantes han decidido esconder su identidad y trabajar bajo seudónimos tales como "Viking" al bajo, "Spartan" a la batería, "Crusader" a la guitarra o "Tribune" a la voz, este último "traicionado" por el inconfundible tono de su voz y el buen hacer que siempre lo acompaña en cada proyecto, banda y colaboración que encarna, Georg Neuhauser de "Serenity".De momento desconozco la identidad del resto de integrantes, por ello esa presunción por mi parte de que se trate de un proyecto que implique a músicos de varias bandas, de esos proyectos que se generan cuando las bandas giran juntas y se crean vínculos musicales que fructifican en ese tipo de proyectos posteriormente. Puede ser por dos motivos, como siempre, la necesidad musical de dar rienda suelta a un estilo diferente al de las bandas madre de los integrantes o el económico, para lo cual se suele dar más bombo y platillo a los nombre de los componentes sobre todo si son conocidos al pertenecer a bandas de primera línea. Sea como sea, Warkings enmarca su sonido en un power de corte europeo, en ocasiones más melódico y en otras más agresivo, creando un interés grande al inicio que veremos donde les termina por llevar. Hoy quiero dejar una de las canciones del álbum, en concreto "Sparta", posiblemente la que más me haya llenado de primeras, y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
