THE  HERALD  AND  THE  WANDERER 

Vamos con el último material de estudio publicado por los estadounidenses Duskmourn, una banda que en su momento deslumbrase dentro del sonido del death melódico con su impecable debut de 2014 "Legends", algo que después corroborarían con su segundo disco "Of shadows and flames" de 2017 y en general han mantenido el nivel también en el tercer trabajo "Fallen kings and rusted crowns" de 2021. Tras ese material solo han publicado otro single "The herald and the wanderer" en 2023 y del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog un enlace a youtube.

BLOOD  OF  THE  FOREST

Comienza a ser costumbre asociar las ideas de calidad y pulcritud compositiva con el nombre de "Duskmourn" que en este 2021 han visto editar su trecer LP siguiendo las directrices generales expuestas en su dos anteriores albumes de estudio. Este duo de músicos estadounidenses hacen un sonido muy de la escuela europea, un sonido enmarcado en un death melódico con cierto regusto folk, con otro toque atmosférico, que desde 2012 van mostrando al planeta. Otro de los puntos a destacar es la capacidad de mostrar todas esas virtudes musicales haciendolo de manera independiente, sin apoyo discográfico, algo que por otra parte hoy en día se antoja algo más sencillo de hacer que hace unas décadas. FALLEN  KINGS  AND  RUSTED  CROWNS

Tercer Lp de los estadounidenses "Duskmourn", una de esas bandas que desde el comienzo de su carrera ha mostrado la calidad como meta y que sin duda alguna, sin saber del origen de la misma y solo escuchando su material uno la situaría en la escuela europea sin dudarlo. Estamos hablando de death melódico con un trasfondo folk, muy de la escuela nórdico europea y que gusta de melodía y potencia a partes iguales, con atmósferas en ocasiones melancólicas y pasajes instrumentales. La banda la componen solo dos músicos que se encargan de todo y una vez más este "Fallen Kings and rusted crowns" ha sido auto editado este recién pasado 19 de junio de este 2021. DUSK OVER FIELDS AND RUIN

Duskmourn son un grupo estadounidensecuya música se puede definir como un death metal melódico, atmosférico, con grandes dosis épicas y una pincelada folk. El grupo se forma en 2012, y desde sus inicios sus músicos han tenido muy claro el camino que querían seguir musicalmente, en sus propias palabras un sonido "que trascienda a los oyentes y les lleve a otro mundo, un mundo de historias antiguas y viajes ligados a la naturaleza". El grupo esta formado desde el comienzo por solo dos músicos que se encargan de todos los instrumentos, por una parte Walter Deyo (Guitarra, Bajo, y voz), y por otra Bill Sharpe (Guitarra, Batería y Teclados). Su obra por el momento se limita a un EP, del año 2012, de título "Duskmourn", y un LP, "Legends", de 2014, extraordinaria obra si eres amante del sonido death melódico aderezado con grandes atmósferas de naturaleza épica, un disco altamente recomendable, del que pueden aconsejarse muchos de sus temas, algunos de ellos, (concretamente 4), instrumentales. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog otro de sus temas del, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, único larga duración de la banda, en concreto uno de sus buenísimos y atmosféricos temas instrumentales, "Dusk over fields and ruin", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Hoy quiero dejar en el blog uno de sus temas, en concreto "Ancient Willow", uno de sus temazos, que sirve perfectamente bien como carta de presentación de esta banda americana pero de sonido indudablemente europeo, a la que con un poco de suerte auguro un gran futuro.
