Repasando una vez más los comienzos de nuestro sonido quiero volver de nuevo a los escoceses Nazareth, innegable influencia y contribuyentes a que el heavy metal naciese y se desarrollase, una vez más hablamos de la década de los setenta donde todo se gestó para terminar explotando con el nacimiento de la década de los ochenta, en este caso recurro a una de las obras más celebradas de la mencionada banda, su sexto LP de estudio "Hair of the dog", de 1975, considerada por seguidores y crítica como una de las más importantes de la banda y un disco fundamental dentro del hard rock. EXPECT  NO  MERCY

Los ecoceses Nazareth fueron una evidente contribución para los primeros pasos del heavy metal, siempre teniendo en cuenta que para comienzos y mediados de los 70 aún no se le podía considerar el sonido reconocible que vendría, sin embargo en su progresión para serlo muchos buenos grupos pusieron sus mimbres muchas veces endureciendo el hard rock existente para alcanzar nuevas cotas sonoras. Nazareth influyó en muchas bandas posteriores, y hoy quiero dejar en el blog otro temas del grupo de otro de sus discos, en este caso "Expect no mercy" es la obra escogida, su noveno album de estudio editado en 1977 y de ella la canción que la dio nombre y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube, Nazareth, otro vistazo a las raíces.

Canciones para una vida - Nazareth - This Flight Tonight

THIS  FLIGHT  TONIGHT

Nuevo vistazo a los inicios metálicos para recuperar otra de esas bandas que han contribuido al desarrollo del heavy metal como tal siendo precursores como muchos otros de lo que vendría una década más tarde, en este caso desde una vertiente algo más hard rockera, se trata de los escoceses "Nazareth". Muchas y grandes bandas y músicos han declarado la influencia que en ellos tuvo este grupo, y es que tomó un rumbo muy pre heavy al desarrollar su sonido, según muchos la ralentización del tempo, el uso de solos largo, poderosos y voces agresivas y "aullantes" creaban un caldo de cultivo perfecto para que la semilla sembrada diese el fruto del heavy metal. Actualmente siguen en activo y 25 LP's hablan de una carrera larga, productiva y reconocida, en 1973 editaban dos albumes de estudio su tercero y cuarto respectivamente, el segundo de la citada dupla, por título llevó "Loud 'n' proud" y de él dejo hoy en el blog el tema "This Flight Tonight", tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
