Grave Digger - The Number

THE  NUMBER

Cold iron burned into my skin
A shrine of hate and war within
They ripped my name out of my veins
Branded my flesh with rusted chains

Grave weren't big enough
Gods missed our call
Scars on our souls
Remind us all
Remind us all

No more numbers
No more graves
No more chains
No more slaves

No more numbers
No more lies
Only the truth
Burns in the sky

Smoke wrote prayers in broken clouds
Sirens howled like dying gods
Every step was stolen breath
Every dawn — a deal with death

Grave weren't big enough
Gods missed our call
Scars on our souls
Remind us all
Remind us all

No more numbers
No more graves
No more chains
No more slaves

No more numbers
No more lies
Only the truth
Burns in the sky

Grave weren't big enough
Gods missed our call
Scars on our souls
Remind us all
Remind us all

No more numbers
No more graves
No more chains
No more slaves

No more numbers
No more lies
Only the truth
Burns in the sky

Firewind - The Legend Of Achilles

THE  LEGEND  OF  ACHILLES

Warrior! King of All!

Born for glory, immortal and wild
In magical waters they dipped this young child
Not the heel though, Divinity shall fail - They soon regret

On the war field he fought like a god
Invincible Saviour with no disregard
And his stiff shield, won’t serve him to prevail

The might of - a legend fades

Warrior! King of all
The gods rise up, the strongest falls
Warrior! Demigod!
So raise your arms in triumph!

Seeking vengeance, his soul full of pride
The prophecy foretold in Troy he would die
Through the bloodshed, legends will remain

And Fates will guide -
Falling arrows, like tears from the sky
Fragility’s there where no armour can hide
Shooting poison, deep into his veins

His pyre lights up the night

Warrior! King of all
The gods rise up, the strongest falls
Warrior! Demigod!
So raise your arms in triumph!

And the stars would carve the way to the heavens above
Through the eons and through stories, the legend lives on

Warrior! King of all
The gods rise up and the strongest falls
Warrior! Demigod!
So raise your arms in triumph!
Warrior! King of all
Oh, The gods rise up and the strongest falls
Warrior! Demigod!
So raise your arms in triumph!

Serious Black - Last Man Standing

LAST  MAN  STANDING

Words cut like knives in a world of grey.

They said I’d fall, they said I’d break,

I’ve learned from every scar they have made.

In the mirror, there’s a war inside,

 I can’t escape, I cannot hide.

They burn, I scream out loud.

 I live, I rise.

 Every shadow they have

cast makes the spirit build at last.

I break, I stand, never follow their command.

 I‘m the last man standing,

 when the worlds keep demanding.

Break my bones, not my will,

 Bleeding truth, I’m fighting still.

I‘m the last man standing, this is not my ending.

 From the ashes, I command.

 I‘m the last man... standing!

They treat me like I don’t belong,

But I keep writing my own song.

They say “You better stop, just give it up!

”Suppression whispers in my ears, But courage

 kills the voice of fear.

They laughed and twisted my name

. Don‘t play their game.

 I‘m the last man…

Every night I close my eyes

to heal my heart from all the lies.

Break the noise and breathe away

For another fight, for another day.

 I‘m the last man standing,

when the worlds keep demanding.

Break my bones, not my will,

 Bleeding truth, I’m fighting still.

 I‘m the last man standing,

 this is not my ending.

From the ashes, I command.

Saxon - Gods Of Thunder

GODS  OF  THUNDER

Through the mists of the northern vale
Where the mountains kiss the sky
Ride the gods with eyes of flame
And stormfire in their cry
Cloaked in cloud and crowned with steel
They dance where eagles soar
The skies shall break, the hills shall reel
As thunder shakes the moor

They rise with fire, they fall with steel
Gods of thunder
They forge the dawn in fire and rain
Gods of thunder
Crack the heavens, split the sky
Gods of thunder

They ride the sky on storms unchained
Like battle hymns of old
Lightning strikes on midnight air
Their stories left untold
Hammers crash and the world obeyed
A thousand years, and still they blaze
Celtic gods, the ancient ways
Forgotten now in modern days

No mortal soul can make them kneel
Gods of thunder
Ride the wind like war-born flame
Gods of thunder
Crack the heavens, split the sky
Gods of thunder
Gods of thunder

Pagans chorus, gods of old
Once more will rule the day
From the hollows of the earth
Where stone and shadows play
Celtic ways and sacred rites
Beyond the mountain dew
Where oak trees bow and rivers churn
The banshee wails anew

They rise with fire, they fall with steel
Gods of thunder
They forge the dawn in fire and rain
Gods of thunder
Crack the heavens, split the sky
Gods of thunder
Gods of thunder
Gods of thunder
Gods of thunder
