TWILIGHT  FORCE

Cuarto trabajo de los suecos "Twilight Force" que tiene prevista su salida a la venta el proximo mes de febrero del ya inminente 2023. Estamos ante una banda de las que podemos tildar de polémicas en el sentido de las expectativas despertadas en su magnífico debut de 2014 "Tales of ancient prophecies" en una clave sinfónico épica dentro del power, que no tuvo una continuidad acorde a lo propuesto desde la perspectiva de un exceso de orquestación, arreglos, que progresivamente taparon cualquier atisvo metálico para dibujar un sonido dificil de encasillar, y realmente de digerir de tal manera. Cogidas las composiciones y desde un punto de vista más metálico el asunto es que sonarían bastante bien, puede uno llegar a imaginar, y eso automaticamente hace despertar esa curiosidad con cada nuevo trabajo de si se volverá la mirada a acertado y prometedor enfoque del debut o si se continuará en ese difuminado concepto tan arreglado que apenas deja entrever nada metálico en él. El primer adelanto de su cuarta obra, "At the heart of wintervale", de título homónimo al del grupo, "Twilight Force" deja un espacio para la esperanza, pues en lo referente a la producción de nota un poco más el power y los arreglos orquestados son más ajustados aunque evidentes, pero quizá no demasiado abrumadores, veremos. POWERWIND

Otro más de los adelantos de la nueva obra de Twilight Force, ya recién salida y muy promocionada, sobre todo en comparación con su buen debut "Tales of ancient prophecies" de 2014, se nota que han fichado por "Nuclear Blast", esperemos que como en tantas otras ocasiones el sello no termine perjudicando a la banda. De momento, y con lo que llevo escuchado de la nueva obra, "Heroes of mighty magic", en mi humilde opinión se exceden con las partes orquestadas haciendo de su sonido algo demasiado cercano a una banda sonora en varas ocasiones, lo que hará que los detractores del estilo sinfónico se vean respaldados en su idea, pero aún me queda la mayor parte por escuchar. Este tema que ahora dejo en el blog, "Powerwind" es a mi entender más acorde a los temas que se podían encontrar en su debut, y me recuerda el porque llamo mi atención esta banda, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

BATTLE OF ARCANE MIGHT

Adelanto del que será segundo disco de la banda sueca Twilight Force, que estrenan con la obra "Heroes of mighty magic" su fichaje por "Nuclear Blast". Twilight Force realiza una música centrada en un power metal que pretende recuperar los mejores años del sonido del Power metal sinfónico y de corte épico, tratando de rememorar el sonido que le dio a Rhapsody la fama que aún disfrutan hoy en día. Realmente en muchas ocasiones lo logran, pareciendo hacer guiños a sonidos de finales del siglo y comienzos de este, Luca Turilli, Fairyland etc. Musicalmente hablando son una banda muy pulcra, con un cuidado sonido que enseguida te mete en su mundo fantástico, y aunque desde luego no hayan inventado nada nuevo, realizan muy bien aquello que se han propuesto. La banda la componen músicos de calidad y alguno de ellos ha militados en grupos como Sabaton o Astral Doors, demostrando una cierta experiencia previa que se ve reflejada en el resultado final. El guitarrista Felipe, y el teclista Daniele son los impulsores de esta banda, a quienes acompañan Borne al bajo, Christian Hedgren a la voz y Roberto a la batería, (que es el que más experiencia previa parece tener habiendo militado en los grupos citados anteriormente). Realmente le debo más de una escucha a este tema para sacar una conclusión definitiva, quizá así de primeras me ha resultado demasiado ornamentado, pero no sacaré conclusiones hasta, como digo haberlo escuchado con más detenimiento. ENCHANTED DRAGON OF WISDOM

Twilight Force es una banda sueca que realiza una música centrada en un power metal que pretende recuperar los mejores años del sonido del Power metal sinfónico y de corte épico, tratando de rememorar el sonido que le dio a Rhapsody la fama que aún disfrutan hoy en día. Realmente en muchas ocasiones lo logran, pareciendo hacer guiños a sonidos de finales del siglo y comienzos de este, Luca Turilli, Fairyland e incluso Blind Guardian. Musicalmente hablando son una banda muy pulcra, con un cuidado sonido que enseguida te mete en su mundo fantástico, y aunque desde luego no hayan inventado nada nuevo, realizan muy bien aquello que se han propuesto. La banda la componen músicos de calidad y alguno de ellos ha militados en grupos como Sabaton o Astral Doors, demostrando una cierta experiencia previa que se ve reflejada en el resultado final. El guitarrista Felipe, y el teclista Daniele son los impulsores de esta banda, a quienes acompañan Borne al bajo, Christian Hedgren a la voz y Roberto a la batería, (que es el que más experiencia previa parece tener habiendo militado en los grupos citados anteriormente). Han editado solo este disco en estudio, "Tales of the ancient prophecies", de 2014, disco del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog otro de sus temas, concretamente "Enchanted dragon of wisdom", que abre este primer y hasta la fecha de esta reseña único LP de la banda, y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
