THIS  MEANS  WAR

El segundo single de la tercera obra de Nordic Union ya está aquí, "This Means War", un ejemplo casi perfecto de lo que cabe esperar de esta dupla nórdica de músicos, el danés Ronnie Atkins a la voz, (Pretty Maids), y el sueco Erik Martensson, (de Eclipse), multiinstrumentista incluyendo la voz, en un hard heavy metal melódico, que como digo no se aleja en absoluto de los que ambos músicos están acostumbrados a hacer por separado y de lo que ya han hecho juntos con anterioridad. En agosto está prevista la salida de la obra y si lo tuyo es este tipo de sonido estás de enhorabuena por lo que se puede escuchar de momento de la obra. Canciones para una vida - Nordic Union - In Every Waking Hour

 

IN  EVERY  WAKING  HOUR

Tan viejo como la propia música es el hecho de juntar artístas consagrados para que de dicha unión surja algo nuevo y potencialmente funcional, y cuanto mayor sea el talento de los artistas que unen fuerzas, mayores son las posibilidades de que dicho proyecto se perpetue en banda plena. Los nórdicos "Nordic Union" ya van por su tercer episodio habiendo demostrado ya tanto en la citada unión como en sus bandas madre, (Pretty Maids y Eclipse) su indiscutible calidad en el campo del hard rock melódico, cercano al hard 'n heavy de corte más moderno, en lo que a Nordic Union se refiere, se nota la mano de Erik Martensson de Eclipse, un polifacétoc músico que no necesita practicamente a nadie para editar un disco, guitarra, teclados bajo y voz son sus herramientas del día a día, si unimos la carismática voz de Ronnie Atkins de Pretty Maids, el resultado no puede ser otro que el de interesante cuando menos. La tercera obra de este protecto promovido por el propio sello "Frontiers" se titula "Animalistic" y saldrá de forma oficial el próximo mes de agosto, y su primer single se llama, "In every waking hour", del que hoy dejo en el blog un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Nordic Union - My Fear And My Faith

MY  FEAR  AND  MY  FAITH

Ante las noticias de los problemas de salud que sufre Ronnie Atkins, serios, sin arrugarse para nada, en poco más de un año ha editado material con Nordic Union, (2018) y ahora con la inminente salida de su próximo disco con su banda de siempre, "Pretty Maids". Esperemos que esa manera tan positiva de afrontar las cosas le de el resultado esperado pues estamos ante uno de esos músicos que poco a poco el tiempo va colocando en el alto puesto que merece. Es siempre pues buen momento para rescatar alguna de las canciones relacionadas con este músico, y si además sumamos el talento de otro gran músico como Erik Matertensson de "Eclipse", que precisamente están también de estreno, el resultado solo puede ser bueno. Hoy dejo en el blog otra de las canciones de su segundo trabajp conjunto, "Nordic Union - Second Coming" del pasado 2018, en concreto "My fear and my faith" que abre la obra y de la que en estos pasados días se ha estrenado un lyric video oficial del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Nordic Union - Because Of Us

BECAUSE  OF  US

 De nuevo la mezcla de bandas y músicos de primera linea solo puede llegar a buen puerto, y la única duda si se dan esas premisas es saber cuanto puede durar uno de esos proyectos paralelos antes de que alguna de las partes se cansen. En esta ocasión este es el segundo LP que edita "Nordic Union", con la mezcla de melodía híbrida entre las bandas madre de los dos músico principales e impulsores del proyecto, Ronnie Atkins de "Pretty Maids" y Erik Martensson de "Eclipse", es decir melodía, una base hard heavy, muy buen gusto compositivo y una larga trayectoria como seguro de vida. Otro de los temas destacados de la obra es este "Because of us" del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog un enlace a yotube.

Canciones para una vida - Nordic Union - It Burns

IT  BURNS

Ya el inicio de esta banda el pasado 2016 nos demostró como cuando unen fuerzas músicos de primer nivel tan solo pueden esprarse buenas cosas, y es que Nordic Union, como ya he dicho en este blog es la unión del sueco Erik Martensson a la guitarra (Eclipse) y el danés Ronnie Atkins a la voz (Pretty Maids), en una tesitura estilística muy en la onda de lo que ambos suelen realizar con sus bandas madre, hard heavy pues de primerísimo nivel que en este "Second coming" como puede deducirse del título su segundo LP que sigue sin lugar a dudas la senda de calidad y acierto de su debut del 16. Disco pues recomendable, sobre todo para fans del estilo de Pretty Maids, Eclipse y bandas similares, completo, y que se disfruta de comienzo a fin por lo equilibrado de sus composiciones, la calidad de las mismas y de la producción y la categoría de sus componentes, largamente demostrada en su historia personal. Este segundo LP ha sido editado a finales de 2018 y de él quiero hoy dejar una de sus canciones en el blog, en concreto "It Burns", completamente enganchona y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Nordic Union - When Death Is Calling

WHEN DEATH IS CALLING

Una vez más encontramos un proyecto de esos que de vez en cuando surgen, y que unen los caminos musicales de grandes artistas de primera línea, que en algunas ocasiones no llegan a ser más que flor de un día, y en otras, por la buena química entre los componentes y la buena acogida por crítica y público se llegan a convertir en auténticos proyectos paralelos a sus bandas madre. En esta ocasión estamos ante el nacimiento de esta banda, o proyecto, que veremos que camino sigue, en función de los que decidan sus integrantes. Pocas noticias se pueden aún leer en internet acerca de "Nordic Union", de hecho el disco no sale hasta el 29 de Enero, pero yo he tenido la suerte ya de escucharlo y queda claro que lo de sus componentes no es solo buen nombre. Esta unión nórdica se basa en el trabajo del cantante y compositor danés Ronnie Atkins, de Pretty Maids, y el guitarrista, compositor y cantante sueco Erik Martensson, de Eclipse o WET, a quienes acompaña en la batería el también sueco magnus Ulfstedt, es por lo tanto previsible que el sonido de este proyecto esté más orientado hacia un hard rock moderno, aunque a mí me gustaría añadirle la etiqueta de heavy melódico, como podemos apreciar en algunos temas como el que dejo hoy en el blog. Más allá de las inevitables etiquetas, de lo que no hay duda alguna es de la calidad innegable de estos tíos, que demuestran el porque de la merecida fama cosechada en sus respectivas bandas. Quiero dejar una muestra de esa calidad en forma de este tema, "When death is calling", del que dejo hoy un enlace a youtube. Cuando hay calidad todo lo demás sobra.
