Canciones para una vida - Lost Horizon - Think Not Forever

THINK NOT FOREVER

Ya he confesado en otras ocasiones mi absoluta de devoción por esta banda sueca que se llamó "Lost Horizon", otro de esos grupos que podrían haber sido de los más grandes de la escena internacional si no fuese por su limitadísima discografía entre los años 2000 y 2003 en que sacaron su segundo y por desgracia último álbum. Se trata de este "A flame to the ground beneath", digno sucesor de su alucinante primera obra, en la misma linea en calidad, lo que deja ese sabor agridulce a los fans, dulce por la calidad de sus discos, amargo por haber disfrutado tan solo de dos de ellos. Como ya dije anteriormente, el vocalista Daniel Heiman, despues del "A flame to the ground Beneath" dejaría la banda junto con Fredrik Olsson para formar Heed, nombre bajo el que sacaron un solo disco que sin ser malo ni mucho menos y con algún tema memorable no se acerca a lo que fue Lost Horizon. Para alegría de los amantes de las cualidades vocales de Daniel, en este último mes ha salido la última obra de Harmony, banda sueca de la que recientemente hemos comentado algo en este blog, y en la que se ha enrolado el genial cantante. Esperemos que siga ahí mucho tiempo. SWORN IN THE METAL WIND

Hablar de Lost Horizon es hacerlo del puro power metal europeo, de calidad en grado máximo y a todos los niveles, y es que una vez más estamos hablando de la escuela sueca, que en estos temas power como en otros muchos suele siempre ser sinónimo de calidad. Si nos paramos a pensar en esto, y conociendo al grupo, a lo breve por desgracia de su carrera, tan solo no asalta una pregunta, como es posible que su historia fuese tan intensa, tan acojonantemente buena a nivel musical y tan corta, por desgracia desconozco la respuesta pero de lo que no cabe duda es de que al menos dejaron para la historia un par de discos antológicos si te gusta el género, dos muestras de su calidad que ya nadie quitará del camino. Lost Horizon estuvieron activos bajo ese nombre entre 1998 y 2004, y aunque siempre ha habido el rumor de su continuidad la verdad es que ya ha transcurrido demasiado tiempo para que sea cierto, antes de denominarse Lost Horizon tocaron bajo el nombre de "Highlander" entre 1990 y 1995, que había sido formado por ex miembros de Hammerfall, y reestructurada a finales de los 90 para cambiarse definitivamente el nombre a Lost Horizon. Como decía su discografía resulta por desgracia demasiado escasa con solo dos LP's "Awakening the world", de 2001 y "A flame to the ground beneath" de 2003. Hoy quiero dejar otro de los temas de su debut, en este caso "Sworn in the metal wind", todo un himno metálico que enseña muy bien lo que fue esta banda, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Como ya dije en la anterior entrada de Lost horizon, es  otro de esos grupos que podrían haber sido de los más grandes de la escena internacional si no fuese por su limitadísima discografía entre los años 2000 y 2003 en que sacaron su segundo y por desgracia último album. Como ya dije anteriormente, alla por Julio, El vocalista Daniel Heiman, despues del "A flame to the ground Beneath" dejaria la banda junto con Fredrik Olsson para formar Heed, nombre bajo el que sacaron un solo disco que sin ser malo ni mucho menos y con algun tema memorable no se acerca a lo que fue Lost Horizon. WELCOME BACK

 Hoy tengo que referirme a otro de esos grupos que podrían haber sido de los más grandes para mi gusto, los suecos Lost Horizon, una impresionante banda que estuvo activa entre los años 2000 y 2003 en que sacaron su segundo y por desgracia último album. Las canciones son espectaculares en ambos discos, por calidad dificil escoger entre uno de ellos, y lo mismo sucede con las canciones, discos perfectos a nivel compositivo y técnico con la portentosa voz de  Daniel Heiman que despues del "A flame to the ground Beneath" dejaria la banda junto con Fredrik Olsson para formar Heed, nombre bajo el que sacaron un solo disco que sin ser malo ni mucho menos y con algun tema memorable no se acerca a lo que fue Lost Horizon, en fin, una gran canción este Welcome Back del Awakening the world de 2001 aunque como digo podríais escoger casi cualquiera de los dos disco y acertaríais.
