Este 2026 será el año de la confirmación de la banda "Angus McSix", en lo que parecía una venganza de un músico despedido de una banda similar, (otra de esas historias recurrentes a lo largo de la historia), pero claro, si esa propuesta a priori un tanto hueca está respaldada por un primer disco al menos digamos que notable, y si tras la composición está un nombre como el de Seeb Levermann, entonces la cosa cambia, y el empaque del grupo no sería extraño que terminase por eclipsar al grupo a "agredir", a poco que se mantenga el esfuerzo compositivo. En este 2026 como digo veremos la continuación del magnífico citado debut, a través de la obra "Angus McSix and the seeing astral eye", cuya salida oficial se espera para el trece de marzo y del que hoy dejo en el blog este otro adelanto, "I Am Adam McSix", con la colaboración para mayor atención de Rhapsody Of fire, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Ya desde el primer momento los islandeses Power Paladin recibieron las miradas de todos los amantes del power metal a través de su debut de 2022 "With the magic of the windfyre steel", sobre todo de la parte defensora del sonido europeo, que ellos practican. Los alemanes Aeon Gods son uno de esos grupos que parecen haber nacido con el pie derecho, que desde su mismo inicio han mostrado su buen hacer, con una enorme acogida entre público y crítica, para deslumbrando con su debut de 2024 dar continuidad apenas dos años después a su carrera con su segundo LP "Reborn to light" cuya salida oficial se espera para el 20 de febrero de este inminente 2026, prometiendo una continuidad sonora respecto a su debut, a juzgar por el primer adelanto del mismo "Birth of light" del que hoy dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Primeros apuntes sobre el nuevo disco de los finlandeses Metal De Facto, la parte dos de su obra "Land of the rising sun", cuya primera entrega se produjo en 2024 y que para el 6 de marzo ya de 2026, tendrá continuidad en la citada segunda entrega. Venger - Navigate The Labyrinth

NAVIGATE  THE  LABYRINTH 

Nueva banda internacional a la vista con miembros de tres nacionalidades, Inglaterra, Austria y Noruega, son Venger, formados en 2024 y que para primeros de enero de 2026 publicarán su disco debut "Times of legend" en una clave de heavy metal con destellos power. Nada nuevo, nada innovador, solo la irrupción de otro nuevo grupo cuyo camino veremos donde les lleva. Vreid - From These Woods

FROM  THESE  WOODS 

Desde tierras noruegas nos llegan los ecos del que será ya el décimo LP de estudio de la banda Vreid, cuyo sonido se enmarca en un black melódico, oscuro, épico, muy de la escena de la que procede. Formados en 2004 de las cenizas de la banda Windir tras la muerte de su frontman Valfar. Un poco siguiendo la misma línea compositiva de la citada banda, el décimo trabajo de Vreid, "The skies turn black", verá su salida oficial a primeros de marzo y de momento nos dejan su adelanto "From these woods" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Ajeno a todo, como un reloj suizo, el guitarrista alemán Axel Rudi Pell sigue adelante con su carrera publicando album nuevo cada dos años aproximadamente, y en este inminente 2026 toca ya su vigésimo tercer LP de estudio "Ghost town", que verá la luz de forma oficial el 20 de marzo, y del que en estos días nos deja su primer adelanto,"Ghost town" que dará nombre a la obra. TRIDENT 

Los suecos Templar son una banda de reciente formación (2022) pero que han decidido seguir la senda del sonido clásico dentro del heavy metal, lo que demuestra que ese tipo de sonido está más de moda que nunca, y claramente la banda ha tenido espejos de su propia escena en los que mirarse, así, uno no puede sino recordar el material clásico de Heavy Load al escuchar temas como este adelanto de su debut en formato LP "Conquering swords" cuya salida oficial se espera para el 27 de enero del ya inminente 2026. Gladenfold - For My Queen

FOR  MY  QUEEN 

Los finlandeses Gladenfold son un buen ejemplo de ese tipo de bandas que han escogido la calidad antes que la cantidad, mostrando un enorme potencial desde el inicio mismo de su carrera pero siguiendo sus propios tempos a la hora de publicar su siguiente material de estudio, así, la banda formada en 2003, comienza su carrera con tres EP's, (2006, 2008 y 2011) hasta la publicación de su debut en formato LP en 2014. Ya habían despertado grandes expectativas en esta primera parte de su carrera, y su primer LP sería la confirmación de ellas, sin embargo, siguiendo su filosofía no sacarían su segundo LP hasta 2019. La tercera obra la publican en 2022 y en el inminente ya 2026 verá la luz su cuarta "Soulbound", para el 27 de febrero. Sus inicios eran un terreno compositivo más orientado al death melódico, y a medida que ha ido avanzando su carrera su sonido se ha ido revistiendo cada vez más de un sonido power sin relegar del todo el punto death melódico, aunque este tema de este nuevo LP que dejo hoy en el blog, su canción "for my queen" es absolutamente power, y de ella que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Vamos con los primeros ecos de la nueva obra de los suecos Bullet, una de las muchas bandas que han escogido ese nombre para su grupo, y que no debemos confundir con algunas de las ochenteras en utilizarlo. Formados en 2001, estos Bullet han publicado seis LP's de estudio a fecha de esta reseña, siete si oncluimos "Kickstarter" que verá la luz de forma oficial el 9 de enero del ya casi inminente 2026. Hablamos de ese marco sonoro que salta la línea entre el hard rock y el heavy metal, algo que parecen perpetuar en la nueva obra por salir a juzgar por el adelanto de la misma, que da nombre a la obra, y del que dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Megadeth - Tipping Point

TIPPING  POINT 

Criticadísimos por unos, alabados por otros, estamos ante la historia de siempre con las bandas que se hacen demasiado grandes y que parecen hacer creer a todo el mundo que tiene el derecho a hablar de su trabajo de forma absoluta, son los estadounidenses Megadeth, que en este décimo séptimo LP de estudio tiene pensado poner el punto y final a una carrera llena de éxitos. El nuevo disco verá la luz con 2026, bajo el título "Megadeth", y en estos días ha visto como de publicaba su primer adelanto, "Tipping point", una canción que muestra que la banda a pesar de anunciar su fin como grupo en activo, se encuentra en plena forma y de ser una muestra del nivel medio de la obra completa es seguro que cerrará más de una boca crítica. Kreator - Seven Serpents

SEVEN  SERPENTS 

Hablar de Kreator es hacerlo de un clásico, una de esas bandas con toda la historia habida y por haber a sus espaldas, y que parecen no dejar de agrandar su leyenda con cada nuevo paso. Historia personal que se remonta a los inicios de los ochenta, con tres cambios de nombre antes de adoptar el definitivo de Kreator entre 1982 y 1984, desde entonces hasta ahora, quince LP's de estudio si incluimos "Krushers of the world" que verá la luz con los primeros días del año que viene, a los que sumar cuatro EP's.
