Segundo adelanto del nuevo LP de los germanos, la banda tras la que Piet Sielk se muestra como el lider que es, siempre con una importante carga histórica muchas veces ya explicada en este blog, y que aunque parezca que a fuego lento por el gran número de años de acitividad, la discografía de Iron Savior va poco a poco aumentando su importancia, su reconocimiento y su peso específico. FIRESTAR

Echando la vista atrás nos damos cuenta con los germanos "Iron Savior" que ya su discografía alcanza unas considerables dimensiones, así como el reconocimiento del grupo parece seguir creciendo, algo de justicia y no solo por el nivel de importancia de sus integrantes encabezados como no puede ser por la figura de Piet Sielk, sino por la calidad de sus obras, que en general no defraudan sobre todo a los seguidores, mostrando por lo general un alto nivel en su conjunto, son obras interesantes a todo lo largo de las misma. En este marco, la banda deja en este 2023, su decimo quinto LP de estudio, Firestar que verá la luz de forma oficial en octubre, y de la que en estos días dejan su primer adelanto, el tema que dará nombre a la obra, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Iron Savior - Deadly Sleep

 

DEADLY  SLEEP

El segundo Lp de los germanos Iron Savior es la obra de confirmación sin duda alguna de la banda, tras un debut que sabía a muchas cosas, entre ellas a deudas pagadas, a finalmente dar el paso al frente, casi a homenaje, ya que muchas veces he comentado en el blog la historia de Iron Savior, lo que es sinónimo de Piet Sielk, y la importancia de ese nombre en el mundillo, su unión con nombres del calibre de Kai Hansen o Helloween, algo que hoy no volveré a repetir, y como tras esa toma de contacto con la escena internacional con la consiguiente buena acogida por las críticas tocaba confirmar a través de "Unification" un par de años después, (1999), todo aquel buen sabor de boca, y vaya si lo hicieron, con menor sensación de homenaje, presentación o pago de deudas, la banda encontraba la confianza para hacer una apuesta presonal que aún dura y esperemos que por mucho tiempo siga siendo así. De esta segunda obra, con la banda consolidada, las ideas claras y la crítica a su favor dejo hoy otro de sus temas, en esta ocasión "Deadly Sleep" a pesar de que haya sobrevolado sobre el tema esa sombra de duda plagiando a los Maiden, de todas maneras dejo un enlace a youtube del temazo.

DRAGON  KING

La propuesta de Iron Savior siempre resulta homogenea, en este caso, por la entidad de quien está detrás de la banda, siempre encontraremos calidad, buen hacer pero en la otra parte de balanza está el eterno tema de sonar a si mismos, esa dualidad tantas veces mencionada de la originalidad contra la pérdida de la identidad. Si eres de los que te gusta la propuesta de estos germanos estarás siempre seguro de como va a sonar su nuevo disco, si eres de los que te aburre la repetición de fórmulas decididamente esta no será tu banda. De cualquier manera Piet Sielk es siempre sinónimo de calidad y con "Rise of the hero" vemos a la banda en su Octavo LP de estudio, del año 2014, un disco sólido dentro de su propuesta, contundente en su heavy metal teutón, y del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de sus canciones, concretamente "Dragon king" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube. Iron Savior, todo un clásico que recomiendo, si tienes ocasión, ver en vivo.

OUR  TIME  HAS  COME

Menuda velocidad de crucero ha ido adquiriendo esta banda alemana en el último lustro con cinco LP's desde 2015, y 7 desde 2011. Es evidente que hablamos de una gran banda, que personalmente pude ver en vivo el,pasado 2019, lo que no hizo sino confirmarme la calidad del grupo, y del músico que lo encabeza, Piet sielk, una de las leyendas vivas de esto del heavy metal a pesar de que muchos no parezcan reconocerlo. El caso es que la banda prepara la inminente salida de su nuevo material de estudio, "Skycrest", para primeros de diciembre del presente 2020, y nos dejan su primera pincelada en forma de su single Our time has come" donde muestran que su concepto se reafirma una vez más, para alegria de sus seguidores, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

COMING  HOME

Iron Savior, valor seguro por trayectoria e historia personal, que hoy no repetiré, pero por centralo, Piet Sielk cuenta con ese curriculum envidiable para muchos que es historia viva de esto del heavy metal, y, eso, plasmado en su proyecto personal, en el que él es el que tira del carro, el jefe supremo de las decisiones y las interpretaciones, de las composiciones y de la dirección técnica, solo puede tener un resultado, calidad. Si además miramos al inicio de su carrera con Iron Savior, como es el caso de este "Unification", segundo LP de los alemanes, del año 1999, debemos añadir al coctel el ingrediente de esa ilusión de ver crecer al proyecto personal del músico. Poco más que decir, un disco lleno de joyas, canciones ya clásicas para muchos que hablan de un disco bastante recomendable en su conjunto, y del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de sus canciones, concretamente "Coming Home", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

HALL  OF  THE  HEROES

Uno de mis temas preferidos de la banda alemana "Iron Savior" es este "Hall of the heroes" perteneciente al séptimo disco de estudio del grupo, del año 2011. Es fácil apostar por un grupo en el que grandes nombres lo avalan, y el de Piet Sielk por derecho propio debe colocarse bien alto, no solo por sus virtudes vocalistas y guitarreras sino además también por su enorme labor como técnico de sonido y productor. Estamos sin duda alguna ante una figura que finalmente tendrá que recibir el reconocimiento que sin duda merece, y aquellos que no lo quieran ver tan solo deberían ver a Iron Savior en vivo para darse cuenta de la magnitud de la banda y músico . Este séptimo disco de Iron Savior es una buena prueba de como hacer un buen disco de power metal, sin demasiados adornos, con una formula que funciona desde el comienzo de la banda, una obra de la que hoy dejo en el blog "Hall of the heroes", un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

FROM  DUST  AND  RUBBLE

Una vez más estamos ante esa dualidad a la hora de opinar  sobre una banda que se perpetúa en su sonido, la idea de que es bueno mantenerse fiel al sonido y el concepto original o la de que es buena la evolución aunque eso te aleje de las raíces. Sea cual sea la respuesta, siempre tiene que llevar de la mano la idea de la calidad para que, de cualquiera de la maneras, el viaje musical te lleve a buen puerto. Y en ese sentido desde luego y sin ningún género de dudas, estamos con los alemanes Iron Savior ante un seguro de vida en lo que a calidad se refiere. Muchos años de carrera así lo han demostrado y este décimo disco de estudio de la banda no hace otra cosa que refrendarlo. Otro buen ejemplo que demuestra la calidad de este "Kill or get killed" es la canción "From dust and rubble", con la impronta "Iron Savior" y un cierto regusto clásico, un tanto a bandas tales como "Accept" si se quiere, y del que te quedarás pegado al estribillo a las pocas escuchas, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

KILL  OR  GET  KILLED

Piet Sielk es sin duda una de esas figuras grandes dentro de este negocio del heavy metal, y lo es por muchos motivos y a pesar de otros, por muchos motivos por su continua implicación en este tipo de música, por la discografía y colaboraciones en que aparece y por la importancia histórica que atesora, referido a los inicios de los inicios de los míticos Helloween. Pero es además importante a pesar de su tardía llegada a la formación de banda propia y grande, Iron Savior y finales de los 90. Muchos no conocían de la capacidad musical de este guitarrista y cantante y al aparecer Iron Savior creyeron que la banda salía de ninguna parte, pero este músico curtido en mil batallas hasta entonces detrás del brillo de las bandas a las que producía discos sabía muy bien lo que se hacía y lo demostró con creces en 1997 con el disco homónimo al nombre de su banda, Iron Savior. Desde ese momento doce discos de estudio han creado una sólida carrera de la que hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de las canciones de su última obra. 100% Iron savior la nueva obra "kill or get killed" ha sido editada este 2019, concretamente el próximo 15 de marzo, y de ella hoy quiero dejar la canción que da nombre a la obra, de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

IRON  SAVIOR

Hace ya bastante tiempo, (demasiado dada la envergadura de la obra a abordar) que dejé en el blog una entrada referente al disco debut de los alemanes Iron Savior, y hoy toca rescatar otro de los muchos temas impecables que adornan dicha obra. Como ya he dicho y muchos sabrán, Iron Savior nace con vocación de proyecto paralelo de las mentes de Piet Sielk, que hasta ese instante se dedicaba con gran acierto a labores de técnico de sonido, y Kai Hansen, (sobra toda presentación). Ambos habían coincidido en la semilla de Helloween, ("Gentry"), allá por el paleolítico del power metal. Pues bien, tras decidir darse la ocasión de crear un álbum allá por 1996 deciden unir a su proyecto nada menos que al batería de Blind Guardian Thomen Stautch, creando por fin "Iron Savior", un proyecto que por peso específico y aclamación popular, por méritos propios termino derivando en una banda a tiempo completo para Sielk. Habiendo escuchado la discografía de la banda es evidente lo merecido de su buena reputación, pero en concreto este debut "Iron Savior" de 1997 es una de esas obras que no tienen una sola nota fuera de lugar, y hoy quiero poner otro ejemplo más, este tema homónimo al nombre de la banda, "Iron Savior", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Iron Savior - Way Of The Blade

WAY  OF  THE  BLADE

Nueva obra de la banda madre de Piet Sielk, "Titancraft", que se espera que salga a la venta este próximo día 20 de mayo, en lo que será su décimo larga duración.  Hablar de Iron Savior es hablar de músicos y bandas legendarias como Helloween. Formados en 1996 por Piet Sielk y Kai Hansen, Iron Savior es una banda que surgió porque parece que ese era su destino, y me explico. Kai Hansen y Piet Sielk se conocían tiempo atrás, en los inicios de sus carreras musicales pues ambos militaban en el grupo Gentry, que cambiaría su nombre a Second Hell más adelante, el los tiempos pre - Helloween. Con ellos tocaban Markus Grosskopf al bajo e Ingo Schwitchtenberg a la bateria, la formación inicial de Helloween casi al completo. Al formarse Helloween Piet deja la banda y durante unos años se dedica a funciones de técnico de sonido. Durante esos primeros años en Gentry y Second Hell se crearon algunas de las canciones para Helloween de los primeros años, sobre todo del walls of Jericho, así como algún tema que seria utilizado por Kai Hansen en su primer disco con Gamma Ray tras su salida de Helloween, como la canción Heading for tomorrow. Kai y Piet siguieron caminos separados hasta que en 1996 crean Iron Savior, invitando al batería Thomen Stauch de Blind Guardian asi como con colaboraciones de Hansi Kursch. La banda sigue una linea argumental de ciencia ficción que utilizarán conceptualmente en los primeros discos. Kai Hansen que se encarga de las funciones vocales principales, permanecerá en la banda hasta 2001, hasta su tercer disco Dark Assault, tras el que dejará a Piet liderando el grupo, y encargándose de la parte vocal, siendo hoy en día el único miembro fundador que queda, y el único que ha estado de forma constante. Iron Savior ha sacado 10 discos de estudio y 2 EP's hasta la fecha de esta reseña de un fantástico power metal de corte alemán. WATCHER IN THE SKY

Hablar de Iron Savior es hablar de músicos y bandas legendarias como Helloween. Formados en 1996 por Piet Sielk y Kai Hansen, Iron Savior es una banda que surgió porque parece que ese era su destino, y me explico. Kai Hansen y Piet Sielk se conocian tiempo atrás, en los inicios de sus carreras musicales pues ambos militaban en el grupo Gentry, que cambiaría su nombre a Second Hell más adelante, el los tiempos pre - Helloween. Con ellos tocaban Markus Grosskopf al bajo e Ingo Schwitchtenberg a la bateria, la formación inicial de Helloween casi al completo. Al formarse Helloween Piet deja la banda y durante unos años se dedica a funciones de técnico de sonido. Durante esos primeros años en Gentry y Second Hell se crearon algunas de las canciones para Helloween de los primeros años, sobre todo del walls of Jericho, así como algún tema que seria utilizado por Kai Hansen en su primer disco con Gamma Ray tras su salida de Helloween, como la canción Heading for tomorrow. Quiero recomendar su primer disco, homónimo a la banda, y del que recomiendo escucharlo entero, pues se trata de una obra increible, aunque por destacar un tema recomendaré este Watcher in the Sky, que aparece en el disco de Gamma Ray Somewhere out in space, también de 1997 y que curiosamente aparece en ambas bandas pues fue compuesto por los dos músicos, tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
