Volvamos de nuevo a la última obra de estudio de los alemanes Orden Ogan, un ejemplo casi prototípico de como hacer power metal de corte europeo de manual, una banda cada vez más importante que además a través de su lider Sebastian Levermann extiende su legado sobre el sonido de otras muchas bandas a las que produce y ayuda en cuestiones técnicas. El octavo trabajo de la banda, "The order of fear" del pasado 2024 es como digo solo la enésima demostración de su línea de trabajo, esa pulcritud, esa facilidad para generar ese sonido propio, lleno de ganchos pero con tiempo para momentos más elaborados, y siempre con un trasfondo épico como en el tema que cierra la obra "The long darkness" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Ya tenemos a la vista la nueva obra de estudio de los alemanes Orden Ogan, una de esas bandas a las que no me puedo resistir. "The order of fear" será ya el noveno album de estudio de la banda del que se espera su salida oficial el proximo mes de julio, y en estos días nos dejan el segundo adelanto de la citada obra, que es el tema que la dará nombre, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube. Ya dejaron el primer single "My worst enemy" hace unas semanas y de ella dijeron que era una balada poderosa, en palabras de la propia banda estamos ante uno de los discos más directos y metálicos de su discografía, veremos.

Simplemente impresionantes, los germanos Orden Ogan siguen su camino con el primer sencillo del que será su siguiente LP de estudio "The Order Of Fear", el que será su noveno album de estudio, y que con valentía han escogido una balada para dar su primera pincelada de lo que será la nueva obra. A estas alturas no creo que la banda tenga mucho que demostrar, y la figura de Seeb Levermann se alarga más allá de su banda madre hasta todos los proyectos y bandas que apadrina dando forma a su produciión, este nuevo disco no será una excepción, seguro. Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - Interstellar (Feat. Brainstorm)

 

INTERSTELLAR  (FEAT.  BRAINSTORM)

Las novedades compositivas de los alemanes Orden Ogan sin duda se prestarán a especulación en lo que se refiere a las intenciones de editar un LP por segunda vez pero con artistas invitados, y es que la fórmula de editar un segundo e incluso un tercer LP con variaciones de las canciones en plan orquestal, acústico o instrumental en una edición especial está muy al día, pero editar una variación un año después es menos común. Se como fuere, estamos ante una banda que lleva mucho tiempo haciendo las cosas bien, y la figura musical al frente de la banda, Seeb Levermann destaca también por su labor de productor y su costumbre de colaborar en otras bandas o proyectos, quizá solo sea el momento de "cobrarse" esas colaboraciones plasmandolas en material propio y con la excusa hacer un poquito de caja, que nunca viene mal. Uno de los grupos a los que produce Seeb es "Brainstorm" quien ha colaborado con Orden Ogan en esta canción, "Interstellar" de la que hoy dejo un enlace a youtube.

ORDEN  OGAN  -  FINAL  DAYS  -  (2021)

 

La banda alemana Orden Ogan en usa de esos grupos que ha alcanzado a lo largo de su carrera un estatus de respeto generalizado por méritos propios, y es que sus siete LP's de estudio de un power de corte europeo con algunos destellos progresivos están marcados por una forma de hacer que ha marcado mucho su estilo, calidad compositiva y una producción esquisita que han, además, exportado a otras bandas a través de su influencia directa y también a través de la figura más importante que está tras la banda, Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann, cantante, teclista, guitarrista y principal compositor e ingeniero de sonido quien ha ayudado a muchas otras bandas a producir sus obras, algunas nuevas y otras consolidadas que ha recurrido a la figura del músico para optimizar sus posibilidades. Además, el bueno de "Seeb" es dado a las colaboraciones en temas dandole ese plus a muchos temas. En 2021, y tras un retraso frente a lo que debería haber sido la salida oficial de la obra, "Final Days" par 2020 por motivo del maldito coronavirus, Orden Ogan edita su séptimo LP, del que hoy dejo en el blog su artwork a cargo del alemán Sebastian Jerke, que toma el relevo nada menos que de Andreas Marshall en los anteriores cuatro trabajos.

INFERNO

La capacidad general de esta banda alemana es algo comprobado obra tras obra, y su séptimo LP de estudio, "Final Days", no ha sido una excepción. Siempre termina dandome esa sensación de obra completa cada uno de sus discos, aunque siempre es justo decir que yo ya estoy atrapado desde prácticamente el inicio de su carrera en sus redes compositivas por lo que mi opinión no se hasta que punto será objetiva. Sea como sea, el nuevo disco de los alemanes Orden ogan resulta dar para muchas menciones o para rescatar en el blog muchos de sus temas, con el mismo argumento de siempre, pero eso es siempre un arma de doble filo, argumnto para sus detractores y al mismo tiempo para sus defensores, el caso es que a esta banda, visto como crece su reputación, tampoco les urge cambiar de planteamiento, algo que muchos celebramos. Hoy, dejo el que fue su segundo single de adelanto, "Inferno" con todos los ingredientes marca de la casa, canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Desde luego que la fórmula y la identidad estos alemanes la tienen bien perfeccionada, siempre saben hacer impecable su sonido y su propuesta es absolutamente coreable desde el mismo momento en que la escuchas por vez primera. Siguen adelantando temas de este "Final Days"  su séptimo LP de estudio que el 12 de marzo verá definitivamente la luz. Segundo adelanto del que será séptimo album de estudio de los alemanes "Orden Ogan", que ha visto retrasada su fecha de salida desde el noviembre previsto del presente 2020 a la fecha del 12 de marzo del próximo 2021 en relación a los problemas que la banda ha tenido para completar los videoclips y promociones previstas al lanzamiento a causa del coronavirus, (como no). Sea como sea los tiempos se van cumpliendo y la obra parece que va desvelandose, en este caso con este segundo single de "Final Days". Primer adelanto del que será el séptimo disco de estudio de los alemanes "Orden Ogan", quienes por las circunstancias globales en las que nos encontramos han retrasado su salida oficial hasta el mes de noviembre. Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - The Ice Kings

THE  ICE  KINGS

Otra de las canciones del cuarto LP de Orden Ogan "To the end" de 2012 hace referencia a una de las facetas sonoras también destacables de la banda alemana, que no es otra que los medios tiempos y las baladas. Se trata de una de esas bandas en que dicho tipo de sonido tiene un toque especial, al igual, realmente, que el resto de enfoques que una banda como Orden Ogan le da a toda su discografía. Como ya he dicho en otras ocasiones en el blog se trata de una de esas bandas que son mi debilidad y que considero que siguen una línea continua y ascendente a lo largo y ancho de su discografía, y que incluso merecen mejor consideración aún que la que tienen a pesar del reconocimiento que si tienen. Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - One Last Chance

ONE  LAST  CHANCE

Poco más que añadir a lo dicho en anteriores entradas sobre esta obra, tan solo redundar en la enorme calidad de este "Gunmen" de 2017 de los alemanes Orden Ogan, una obra completa, 100% Orden Ogan, que hoy en día es mucho decir ya que la banda ha alcanzado ese punto óptimo en el que una banda se conoce de maravilla a sí misma, la meta perseguida y las espectativas despertadas satifaciendo en una obra completa todo lo esperado y esperable, se trata pues de un grupo en plena forma con la alargada sombra de Seeb Levermann detras, un músico multiinstrumentista y además productor de otras bandas que poco a poco van despuntando en la escena internacional. así pues absolutamente recomendable este que es uno de los mejores LP's que el pasado 2017 ha dado en lo metálico, valga un ejemplo más de lo que digo personificado en este tema, "One last chance" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - Finis Coronat Opus

FINIS  CORONAT  OPUS

Orden Ogan, o lo que es lo mismo, un valor seguro, vuelven a aparecer en el blog, de forma inevitable, pues siempre saben dar en el clavo. Varios temas he dejado ya en el blog de esta sexta obra de estudio, "Gunmen" de este recién pasado 2017, y poco más que añadir a lo dicho en las anteriores entradas sobre el disco, así que me limitaré a dejar este otro tema, "Finis Coronat Opus", una canción que cierra la obra y sirve para resumir bien todas las virtudes de este grupo al que el tiempo pondrá sin duda en su lugar. Melodía, potencia, cambios de ritmo en un tema de casi 9 minutos que para nada se hace largo y que deja en la boca ese regusto que hace que uno desee ya que Levermann y los suyos editen su próximo disco, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

COME  WITH  ME  TO  THE  OTHER  SIDE

 Otra de las ventajas que tiene ser un músico reconocido y polivalente es la posibilidad que tienes en otras labores tales como la producción de conocer distintas maneras de hacer que las habitualmente utilizadas al componer en tu banda madre, y además el poder ponerse en contacto con otros músicos y otras visiones musicales lo que enriquece tu propio sonido y te permite acceder a colaboraciones  especiales en no pocas ocasiones. Por todos es sabido la tendencia de Seeb Levermann, lider de Orden Ogan de producir a bandas nuevas o consolidadas, y muchas veces eso se traduce como digo en colaboraciones especiales posteriores para su propio material con Orden Ogan. Realmente no se si es el caso de esta colaboración de Liv Kristine, o si simplemente es algo casual en que Orden Ogan buscaban darle otro toque a uno de sus temas, el caso es que la canción de su último trabajo "Gunmen" que hoy quiero dejar en el blog, "Come with me to the other side" cuenta con las virtudes vocales de la noruega, y si bien jamás me he declarado seguidor ni defensor del estilo pseudo operístico de tantas bandas nacidas al calor del éxito de Nightwish, en esta ocasión, y gracias al buen hacer compositivo de los gigantes del power Orden Ogan ese toque queda perfecto, además de no ser predominante, una canción más que demuestra el altisimo nivel este "Gunmen", canción esta "Come with me to the other side" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - Vampire In Ghost Town

VAMPIRE  IN  GHOST  TOWN

Una vez más por mi parte solo pueden salir buenas opiniones sobre el nuevo material de esta bandaza, Orden Ogan, como en muchas otras ocasiones he defendido ya una de las mejores bandas de power de la escena internacional actual, con ese punto personal e inconfundible que le haría  merecedores de un mayor reconocimiento, que no es que sea poco tampoco, pero creo que por méritos propios podrían encabezar casi cualquier cartel de festivales de cualquier esquina del planeta metálico. es evidente que siento debilidad por este gran grupo, que no hace sino perpetuarse en su buen criterio musical así como crecer y crecer, y es que desde el inicio de su carrera que por fortuna descubrí al instante de producirse, hasta este quinto disco de estudio que ha visto la luz este 2017, me parece que la banda ha ido siempre de acierto en acierto, y esta quinta ocasión no podía ser diferente, con una obra completa, de calidad y en la que uno puede ir saltando de tema en tema sin miedo a encontrar relleno y bajada de nivel. Buen ejemplo es este "Vampire in ghost town", temazo del que hoy quiero dejar un enlace a youtube. Una vez más, Orden Ogan es "Tiro seguro".

Canciones para una vida - Orden Ogan - Gunman

GUNMAN

Primer sencillo de la sexta obra de estudio de los alemanes Orden Ogan, un tema este "Gunman" que abre la obra y que casi da título al disco, "Gunmen" que verá la luz de forma oficial este próximo 7 de julio, y que, a juzgar por el sonido de este primer adelanto, nos promete un nuevo gran capítulo musical en la línea de la banda, una de las que más me agradan de la escena internacional actual, como ya he dicho en más de una ocasión en este blog y que, a pesar de que el reconocimiento en general que va cosechando el grupo va en aumento, sigo sin embargo pensando que aún debería ser mayor. Además, el trabajo del alma mater del grupo, Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann como productor, mezclador y encargado del sonido de otras bandas fuera de Orden Ogan le está granjeando una gran reputación, y hablamos de bandas de reciente formación y gran calidad tales como Thornbridge, Lux Perpetua, o Asenblut, y otras de contrastado nombre como Human Fortress, Vanishing Point o la regrabación de temas clásicos de Rhapsody of Fire que ha sido publicado hace solo un par de días y donde "Seeb" se ha encargado tanto de la mezcla como de la grabación. Así pues, atendiendo a todo el conjunto de su obra es para mí evidente que estamos ante un grupazo, que va poco a poco a más, y sospecho que este será solo un paso más en su carrera hacia la cima. A  REASON  TO  GIVE

Si ayer hablaba de una banda como "Thornbridge" que ha puesto sus ojos musicales en bandas como Orden Ogan, hoy quiero hablar de sus maestros, los propios Orden Ogan, y además para hacerlo de otro de los temas que componen su, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, última obra editada, "Ravenhead", de la que ya he recomendado practicamente todo el disco. Formados en 1996, Orden Ogan comienzan a sacar demos en 1997, pero no será hasta 2004 cuando saquen su primer larga duración Testimonium A.D., toda una declaración de intenciones de lo que llegarían a ser más adelante. En 2008 editan su espectacular segunda obra, "Vale", y desde ese momento todo ha ido a más. Después su "To the end" de 2012, otro paso más hacia la cima. De gira por Europa con Hammerfall, presentando su magnífico último disco "Ravenhead", del que hoy estamos hablando. El tema que hoy dejo es "A reason to give", con ese inicio ultramelódico, marca de la casa, que poco a poco va cogiendo fuerza y resulta ser un preciosotema muy completo, del que hoy dejo un enlace a spotify.

THE THINGS WE BELIEVE IN

Hoy traigo de nuevo  al blog la penúltima obra de estos alemanes que se van ganando su propio sitio entre los grandes, disco tras disco, por méritos propios. Son Orden Ogan, de los que ya hemos hablado en el blog. Formados en 1996 comienzan a sacar demos en 1997, pero no será hasta 2004 cuando saquen su primer larga duración Testimonium A.D., toda una declaración de intenciones de lo que llegarían a ser más adelante. En 2008 editan su espectacular segunda obra, "Vale", y desde ese momento todo ha ido a más. El disco que hoy quiero revisar es su "To the end", de 2012, cuarta obra de estudio y una prueba más de que cuando las cosas se hacen bien, el resultado llega. El disco es impecable, como siempre, con una cuidada composición y un más que efectivo power metal que hace que practicamente todos sus temas suenen bien. Hoy quiero dejar otra de las grandes canciones de este disco, "The things we believe in", un temazo que resume bien el espíritu de la banda, con ese aire folk nórdico en esta ocasión que sin ser absolutamente dominador de la canción si que le presta el espíritu, enganchón y absolutamente efectivo, otra canción más que refuerza la idea que acude a mi cabeza de ¿por que esta banda no es aún más reconocida de lo que es?, para mi sin duda espectaculares.
