Canciones para una vida - Aether Realm - TMHC

TMHC

Recientemente salido a la venta este pasado 1 de mayo, el cuarto LP de los estadounidenses "Aether Realm" se titula "Redneck vikings from hell". Esta banda es una de esas a las que su sonido parece no acompañar exactamente con el origen y escuela a la que pertenecen, es decir, a pesar de su origen norteamericano su sonido parece más afin al norteeuropeo, en la parte inicial de su carrera con ese toque folk death melódico con un tufillo a Ensiferum, para progresivamente ir evolucionando hacia un sonido más death melódico técnico en plan Children Of Bodom si se quiere. No se puede negar tampoco el gusto por la experimentación haciendo guiños a sonidos más electrónicos, un tanto "Synthwave", pero siempre con ese buen gusto compositivo y de calidad como seña de identidad. Como digo, a medida que la carrera del grupo avanza, el ambiente Folk va desapareciendo y esta cuarta entrega es mucho más death técnico. Canciones para una vida - Aether Realm - Death

DEATH

Hace poco más de un año que Aether Realm editó su último material de estudio, "Tarot", su segundo LP del que ya he hablado en el blog. Así que a modo de confirmación de lo dicho en la anterior entrada de esta obra, me ha parecido un disco más que interesante este "tarot" de 2017, a grandes rasgos siguiendo la línea de su "One chosen by the gods" de 2013, pero con un giro más, un paso adelante en una dirección más death melódico arrinconando un poco más la vertiente folk, pero dando sin duda una vez más un perfil más europeo que estadounidense que es su origen. Esta segunda obra va más allá pues en originalidad podríamos decir, dejando un poco de lado ese sonido "en onda Ensiferum o Wintersun", para buscar más su camino musical, con un cambio en las guitarras, teclados e incluso la forma de meter las voces. Es evidente que la banda busca su propio camino así como la calidad que el grupo atesora desde el inicio de su carrera. Hoy dejo en el blog otro buen ejemplo de este segundo disco, concretamente "Death", de la que dejo un enlace a Youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Aether Realm - King Of Cups

KING  OF  CUPS

Ya he traído al blog a esta banda estadounidense en alguna ocasión,Aether Realm, y hoy lo hago de nuevo para referirme a su nuevo material, "Tarot", que ha salido a la venta de forma oficial el 7 de junio. Se trata de su segundo LP, y tras el espectacular debut, "One chosen by the gods" de 2013 tenía muchas ganas de escuchar la continuación de su discografía. Así, aún evidentemente con muy pocas escuchas de la obra, debo decir que me ha agradado bastante, y además no solo el sonido ha mantenido muchos de los parámetros de su sonido en la anterior obra sino que como pasa cuando va avanzando la carrera de una banda va poco a poco evolucionando y reforzándose, enriqueciéndose en algunos aspectos. Esto es por ejemplo evidente en el tema que hoy quiero dejar en el blog, "King of cups", con muchas de las características de los temas que más me gustan del grupo, pero que además cuenta con la colaboración de lujo de "Christopher Bowes", teclista y cantante de Alestorm que colabora en el tema, fruto seguramente de compartir cartel con Aether Realm . Esta obra nueva de título "Tarot" va tomando nombre canción a canción de los símbolos del Tarot, aunque no parece tratarse de una obra conceptual en sí, sino más bien una colección de temas a los que han enlazado con el nexo común del citado "Tarot". Hoy pues quiero dejar el tema "King of cups" que hará las delicias de los que ya seguimos a la banda tanto como la de aquellos que la descubran hoy y gusten de un sonido death melódico de corte europeo a pesar de su origen americano, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Aether Realm - The Chariot

THE  CHARIOT

 "Aether Realm" es una de esas sorpresas positivas musicalmente hablando que uno se lleva cuando rebusca entre la gran cantidad de grupos nuevos que surgen en el planeta intentando hacerse un hueco en el saturado mercado internacional. Lo primero que me sorprendió de esta buena banda cuando les escuché por vez primera al comienzo de su carrera, en 2011 con su EP "Odin will provide", fue su origen, pues me sorprendió que un sonido tan europeo de death folk realmente saliese de una banda estadounidense. Estos chicos de Carolina del Norte, suenan muy a norte de Europa, y eso es todo un piropo en mi forma de verlo. Con ciertas reminiscencias a bandas tipo Ensiferum o Brymir, aunque con un toque personal decidí seguir su andadura a partir de aquel EP. El grupo lo forman tres integrantes, Vincent Jones Bajista y cantante, Tyler Grisham Batería y Heinrich Arnold Guitarrista y cantante. La banda alterna las voces black con algunos momentos de voces limpias y hay siempre en sus canciones un ambiente muy melódico, con un cierto toque folk, muy Brymir, si conocéis al grupo, del que ya hemos hablado en este blog. Su concepto musical es como decía antes muy europeo, y su producción musical se limita de momento a un LP, "One chosen by the gods", de 2013, además del EP antes citado "Odin will provide", de 2011, así como dos singles "On line", "The magician" de 2013 y "The chariot" de 2015. Quiero dejar hoy en el blog otra canción de su último single, el último material editado hasta la fecha de esta reseña, "The Chariot", un tema que no hace sino confirmar el enorme potencial de la banda que al menos en mi despierta unas enormes ganas de escuchar su nuevo material que espero pronto esté por caer, un tema este "The chariot" del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su videoclip, que comienza un poco "cinematográfico", hay que tener un minutillo y medio de paciencia para empezar a escuchar la música en sí.
