CHASING  THE  STORM 

Un grupo más de la super saturada escena británica de los ochenta, de esos grupos de la NWOBHM que literalmente bombardearon el planeta en esos años iniciales de la década citada, muchos de ellos, (como es el caso), con solo una obra de estudio para demostrar sus virtudes, después, la evidencia de la dificultad para asomar entre semejante marabunta de bandas haciendo lo mismo, al mismo tiempo y en este caso el mismo lugar (su escena natal británica) les haría ceder en su empeño demasiado prematuramente. Hablamos de Trojan y de su disco "Chasing the storm" de 1985, y de él dejo hoy en el blog la canción que dio nombre a la obra y de la que dejo un enlace a youtubw.

Canciones para una vida - Tröjan - Take No Prisioners

TAKE  NO  PRISIONERS

 De nuevo quiero rescatar del pasado una de esas bandas que inmerecidamente no han tenido el reconocimiento que su calidad pudiese haberles otorgado. Una vez más nos moveremos en el heavy speed metal, en este caso de corte europeo y de la escuela británica para referirme a "Tröjan", con una corta carrera, como tantos otros grupos de la época, que en este caso se extendió entre los años 1982 y 1988 en que se separan, y que vio como en 1985 editaron su único LP, "Chasing the Storm", editado con una discográfica, y una de las conocidas, concretamente "Roadrunner Records", que por aquel entonces tenía a bien dar hogar y salida a la música, en no pocas ocasiones con el único aval de ser honesta y fiel a si misma, amén de tener la calidad necesaria, por supuesto. A pesar del apoyo discográfico, Trojan no alcanzaron demasiada repercusión. Un disco este "Chasing the storm" bastante completo, con muy buenos momentos de heavy speed metal de la vieja escuela, de ese con garra, con toda la fuerza y honestidad del sonido de aquellos años, que en ocasiones nos pueden recordar a bandas como "Venom" etc, y del que hoy quiero dejar uno de sus temas en el blog, concretamente "Take no prisioners", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
