Canciones para una vida - Witherfall - Where Do I Begin

WHERE  DO  I  BEGIN

Otra banda de imparable ascenso, no demasiado longeva aún, ya que llevan en activo poco más de una década, pero que con su estilo heavy power progresivo, bastante americano, pone a estos estadounidenses en el grupo de bandas que destacan por la cuidada calidad de sus obras, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, cuatro LP's de estudio, si incluimos este "Sounds of the forgotten" cuya salida oficial se espera para el próximo mes de mayo. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog uno de sus adelantos de la nueva obra, en clave lenta pero poderosa "Where do I begin" tema introspectivo del que dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Witherfall - ...And They All Blew Away

 

...AND  THEY  ALL  BLEW  AWAY  (RADIO  EDIT)

De nuevo a la tercera obra de los estadounidenses "Witherfall" en el blog, para dejar otra de las canciones que forman parte de esta obra del presente 2021, y quiero hacerlo con una que muestra perfectamente esa conjunción de conceptos que representa bien el sonido que lleva a cabo la banda, una mezcla de power de corte americano, con tintes progresivos, una mezcla, para que nos entendamos, entre una Iced Earth y unos Dream Theater, que en este tema queda perfectamente patente, se trata de la canción "..and they all blew away" en su versión corta, más accesible que el tema largo que se incluye en el disco y que dura más de 15 minutos, que es absolutamente recomendable, pero insiste más en el sonido progresivo, con los característicos cambios de ritmo y las idas y venidas en las melodías, esta versión de apenas cuatro minutos sintetiza el tema largo para ir más "al asunto", con una estructura más power y menos progresiva, una canció de la que dekjo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Witherfall - The Last Scar

 

THE  LAST  SCAR

Los estadounidenses "Witherfall" son una banda cuyo sonido se enmarca en un power con toques progresivos bastante hija de su escuela, es decir, suena americana, pero para nada peca de nada en concreto, lo cual ha de tomarse como un piropo y abre el foco para muchos tipos de metalheads potenciales que encontrarán un recoveco en el que ver reflejado ese punto que les guste. El aire melancólico envuelve en general la obra, favorecido por la versatilidad vocal de Joseph Michael, que muestra igualmente su capacidad de fuerza y potencia. Uno de esos grupos que acuden a mi cabeza es Iced Earth, no en vano la mano de Jon Schaffer está tras la producción de este tercer LP de Witherfall "curse of autumn" de este 2021. Se ve el enorme potencial del grupo que comenzó su andadura en 2013 y que va cosechando cada vez mayor número de seguidores por méritos propios. De este último LP de la banda quiero dejar hoy en el blog una de sus canciones, en concreto hoy "The last Scar", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
