Retornando una vez más al concepto clásico, pero de la ola moderna, esa corriente que ha vuelto a poner de moda el espiritu más clásico del heavy metal, el más honesto, el más sencillo, el original, sin adornos, sin excesos ni florituras, guitarra, batería bajo y voz. Esa corriente que en este renacimiento de la última década que ha calado en todo el planeta, apareciendo bandas casi en cualquier esquina que ha recurrido a dicho concepto. Hoy, recupero de nuevo a los finlandeses "Evil Lyn" quienes el año 2018 editaron su primer LP de estudio "Disciple of steel", al que me acabo de dar cuenta de que ya he recurrido en dos ocasiones más, lo que a nivel personal me hace tener la certeza de que me ha gustado bastante su primer disco de estudio.Hoy quiero dejar en el blog un enlace a youtube de su canción, "Shadow soldier" como muestra de su buen hacer y del potencial buen futuro que debería esperar a esta banda nórdica.

IRON  ON  IRON

 Otra de las canciones del, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, primer LP de la banda finlandesa "Evil-Lyn", de 2018, es este "Iron On Iron" que hoy quiero dejar en el blog. Como ya he dicho en varias ocasiones en el blog, el repunte del sonido tradicional que hizo del heavy metal lo que es hoy, ha sufrido un repunte importante, generalizado, desde el punto de vista del origen de lo más variopinto de las bandas que están recurriendo a esta vertiente tan fiel a los orígenes del sonido metálico. Nada de adornos, solo guitarra bajo batería y voz nos retrotraen a los dorados ochenta pero con la producción de nuestros días, una mezcla que hace las delicias de los amantes del género más clásicos. otro de esos grupos es este finlandés, "Evil-Lyn", que nos promete una carrera al más puro estilo de la old school, otra prueba la encontramos por ejemplo en este "Iron On Iron" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Evil Lyn - Survive The Night

SURVIVE  THE  NIGHT


Ya he hablado en el blog en más de una ocasión de esa nueva corriente musical que está recuperando el espíritu clásico del heavy metal de la vieja escuela, sin adornos, basado en lo que sucedió en Inglaterra con la NWOBHM, solo que ahora de carácter más global. Mucha gente lo está denominando NWOTHM, en clara alusión a la citada NWOBHM, solo que sustituyendo la B de British por la T de Tradicional. Sea como fuere son bandas con guitarra, bajo batería voz y un espíritu completamente ochentero, volviendo a las raíces. Una de ellas son estos chicos finlandeses de "Evil Lyn", un grupo formado en 2007 que ha desarrollado solo recientemente su producción musical en forma de un único LP hasta la fecha de esta reseña, "Disciples of steel" de 2018. A ese material hay que añadir un EP en 2012. De los fundadores de la banda solo un miembro continúa en el grupo, y todos provienen de bandas en general desconocidas. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de las canciones de su LP, en concreto "Survive the night" donde se muestra ese gusto por el sonido clásico, y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
