Wind Rose - Home Of The Twilight

 

 HOME  OF  THE  TWILIGHT

Que bien ha sabido buscarse la vida la banda italiana Wind Rose, tras un comienzo muy normal, que solo hacía presagiar una banda más bastante del montón, encontraron la inspiración en el mundo de los enanos, y con ella su identidad, su sitio en la escena internacional, una base sobre la que crecer como banda y desde luego que lo han hecho. En total son ya seis los LP's de la banda, los últimos cuatro completamente centrados en su imagen actual, y del último de ellos, "Trollslayer" de 2024 quiero dejar en el blog otra de sus canciones, concretamente "Home of the twilight" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

 LEGACY  OF  THE  FORGE

Vamos con otra de las canciones que componen la sexta obra de los italianos Wind Rose, "Trollslayer" de este 2024. La banda, que ha encontrado su mina compositiva en la temática enana y el sonido con raices folk, parece que comienza un poco a vivir de las rentas, haciendo su sonido un tanto predecible, sin embargo la aparente facilidad para crear temas pegajosos compensa un poco este particular, al final esto de la música y luego vender entradas para conciertos se ve facilitado si uno es capaz de cantar los temas con rapidez, y este es el caso de esta banda. Los italianos Wind Rose son una de esas bandas que siempre captan mi atención con cada nueva obra, un grupo que ha crecido mucho en los últimos años con su giro hacia el universo de los enanos haciendo de ello su identidad, el toque ligero folk y la capacidad de crear melodías memorables ha logrado que su estatus internacional no haga sino elevarse. La nueva obra "Trollslayer" verá la luz de forma oficial a primeros de octubre y de ella dejan en estos días su segundo adelanto "To be a dwarf" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Para comienzos de octubre se espera la nueva obra de los italianos Wind Rose, el que será ya su sexto LP de estudio "Trollslayer", una banda que sobre todo desde 2015 ha crecido de manera exponencial reclutando fans de manera constante y sin pausa. El giro que dieron compositivo desde el power con un toque incluso progresivo de sus inicios a ese personal power folk adquiriendo una temática épica con warhammer, Tolkien y los Enanos como hilo argumental sin duda les sentó de maravilla, y este sexto episodio de su carrera parece encaminado a seguir y perpetuar esta tendencia. FELLOWS  OF  THE  HAMMER

El tercero de los adelantos de la nueva obra de los italianos "Wind rose" está ya aquí, mostrando a todos aquellos que apreciaron su anterior trabajo que siguen el mismo sendero compositivo que van poco a poco trazando en una evolución desde unos inicios más genéricos hacia otros más especializados en las tesituras líricas del mundo Warhammer y concretamente de los enanos. Su estructura sigue siendo power, con presencia total y continua de coros épicos que te trasladan a ese mundo fantástico tan propicio para los amantes del subgénero, así pues todos los clichés generales como específicos de la banda prometen un nuevo capítulo en la carrera en ascenso de la banda, un nuevo capítulo que llevará por título "Warfront" y que verá la lus de forma oficial el próximo 10 de junio, es decir mañana mismo, veremos, o mejor escucharemos, de momento hoy en el blog el enlace al clip oficial de este "Fellows of the hammer".

Los italianos Wind Rose muestran su segunda carta de la nueva obra "Warfront" de la que se espera su salida oficial el próximo mes de junio. El título de este segundo adelanto es "Together we rise" y en el notamos una vez más el asentamiento que la banda ha encontrado en el estilo actual, con esa temática cada vez más centrada en el universo de los enanos a medio camino entre Tolkien y Warhammer, ese toque épico presente a través sobre todo de los coros, en definitiva, mientras siga funcionando promete ser el modus operandi de la banda. Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - Gates Of Ekrund

 

GATES  OF  EKRUND

Primer avance de lo que será el nuevo LP de estudio de los italianos "Wind Rose", de título "Warfront" y que verá la luz de forma oficial el proximo mes de junio. Supondrá su quinto LP de estudio, y el tercero desde que dieran ese golpe de timón compositivo girando hacia un concepto más épico desde la perspectiva más progresiva con la que iniciaron su carrera, eso sí, siempre desde una perspectiva power de corte europeo. La banda está en un gran momento, y lo saben, de esta manera perpetúan el sonido que les ha dado mayor gloria para tratar de seguir esa senda, como queda patente en este primer single, "Gates of Ekrund" del que hoy dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - Drunken Dwarves

DRUNKEN  DWARVES

A medida que va transcurriendo la carrera de esta banda se va viendo el giro total hacia esa vertiente de power folk metal en la que el grupo se siente tan cómodo, desde sus inicios un tanto más sinfónico progresivos, un cambio que se va notando incluso en el logo, para la ocasión despojado de adornos. La cuestión es que tenemos ya a la vista el cuarto LP de los italianos, y a juzgar por lo escuchado en sus dos primeros adelantos podemos estar ante u paso más en su carrera, en la citada dirección, un trasfondo épico y todos los tópicos posibles de género, incluyendo el vestuario y la ambientación de todo, clips incluidos. La obra titulada "Wintersaga" saldrá a la venta de forma oficial a finales de este septiembre, y el segundo adelanto de la misma  es este "Drunken Dwarves" del que hoy dejo en el blog un enlace a youtube.

DIGGY  DIGGY  HOLE

Siempre ha sido una herramienta esgrimida por las bandas la de los singles sueltos, una manera de promoción, tradicionalmete unida a la salida de un nuevo disco. Pero ultimamente también, creo que está siendo una herramienta que los grupos están usando para mantenerse a la vista de los seguidores vista las necesidades actuales, debido a la continua exposición a los medios digitales. De esta manera, y aunque la salida de la nueva obra quede aún lejos, estos aperitivos mantienen en la memoria del seguidor a la banda. En esta ocasión, la banda italiana "Wind Rose" saca un single llamado "Diggy Diggy Hole", en principio sin noticias de un cuarto LP, y tratándose de una versión de la canción de "Yogcast". Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - Dance Of Fire

DANCE  OF  FIRE

Otra de las canciones del tercer LP "Stonehymn" de los italianos Wind Rose es este "Dance of fire" que abre la obra tras la pequeña intro, un tema que resume bien la propuesta de la banda en general y de este disco en particular, un grupo que gusta de mostrar las influencias musicales que han recibido, con un toque progresivo, un corazón power y una envoltura sinfónica, si a ello añadimos una temática de fantasía y épica es evidente que Blind guardian y compañía acuden a nuestra cabeza, pero el sonido de Wind Rose es algo distinto, más personal y desde luego han encontrado su justa mezcla para sonar con su propia identidad, Parece ser que el cantante de Wind Rose, Francesco Cavalieri, se ha enrolado también como cantante en la banda francesa "Fairyland", un grupo sin duda afín al sonido de los italianos, veremos como compagina su labor en ambas bandas, algo que en no pocas ocasiones no suele acabar bien. Sea como sea, Wind Rose demuestra con esta tercera obra un asentamiento en su concepto musical, con calidad y persistencia, y otro buen ejemplo es este "dance of fire" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - To Erebor

TO  EREBOR

De nuevo Wind Rose en el blog, en esta ocasión para presentar el primer adelanto de su nuevo larga duración "Stonehymn" que verá la luz de forma oficial este próximo 26 de mayo, en lo que supondrá ya el tercer disco de estudio de la banda, un grupo que comenzó su andadura musical en 2009 y que centra su sonido en un power metal con cada vez más elementos folk aunque desde una perspectiva más, digamos, fantástica, nutriéndose de un concepto "épico medieval fantástico" que casa muy bien, por ejemplo, con la obra Tolkieniana, como es el caso del tema que han escogido como primer sencillo, "To Erebor", (la montaña solitaria hogar ancestral de los enanos y "robada" por el dragón Smaug). En lo musical, la banda, como decía más arriba, centra sus esfuerzos en un power de corte europeo, con cada vez más elementos folk y siempre un fondo sinfónico, alcanzando ese regusto épico a base de coros siempre bien escogidos.Sin ser inventores de nada nuevo, si hacen bien lo que hacen logrando el que supongo que es su propósito musical.Este tercer LP, a juzgar por el sonido de su primer adelanto parece ahondar en el concepto referido y que caracteriza su aún corta carrera y promete agradar a los que ya disfrutaron de sus anteriores obras. Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - The Breed Of Durin

THE BREED OF DURIN

Ya hemos hablado en el blog de esta banda y disco, "Wind Rose" "Wardens of the west wind" de 2015, una banda italiana estos "Wind Rose", de Power Metal, con elementos sinfónicos y progresivos y un concepto lírico y compositivo de corte épico y fantástico, en la tradición de bandas italianas como Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, o más recientemente Ancient Bards, e incluso acercándose un poco al concepto Blindguardianiano musical de las últimas obras de los bardos, claro está, dicho sea esto con todas las precauciones que la contrastada fama de unos asegura y la incipiente carrera de estos otros solo promete. Formados en 2009 tienen editados dos larga duración hasta la fecha de esta reseña, el primero "Shadows over Lothadruin" de 2012 y este recien salido "Wardens of the west wind" de 2015. Es sin embargo innegable el potencial de este grupo, al que he querido hoy volver a acercarme pues cuando hace unos meses deje en el blog una canción de esta misma obra aún le debía escuchas con atención a la obra, ahora cumplida esa "obligación" debo decir que mi percepción de la misma ha mejorado, y aunque sigo sosteniendo que no han inventado nada nuevo, si que debo decir que en lo que hacen son muy buenos. Deje uno de mis temas favoritos del disco en mi anterior reseña, "Skull and crossbones", y hoy quiero dejar otro de los que mas me gustan, "The breed of Durin", un tema muy en la línea del anteriormente citado, de corte épico, batalla, donde la batería te engancha desde el inicio, arreglos orquestales y un coro arrollador que te atrapa sin remedio, te engancha y enseguida tararearas la canción destinada a hacer las delicias de sus seguidores en directo, una banda que va creciendo, de hecho este octubre de 2015 acompañarán en su gira por España a nada menos que Ensiferum, y eso siempre es por algo. Canciones para una vida - Wind Rose - Skull And Crossbones

SKULL AND CROSSBONES

Wind Rose son una banda italiana de Power Metal, con elementos simfónicos y progresivos y un concepto lirico y compositivo de corte épico y fantástico, en la tradición de bandas italianas como Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, o más recientemente Ancient Bards. Formados en 2009 tienen editados dos larga duración hasta la fecha de esta reseña, el primero "Shadows over Lothadruin" de 2012 y este recien salido "Wardens of the west wind" de 2015. Atendiendo a lo que son como banda, la verdad es que lo que he escuchado no nos eseña nada nuevo, de hecho su primera obra me parece un tanto mediocre, aunque en este segundo disco me parece que han dado un paso adelante mejorando su sonido, aunque, sinceramente tampoco me parece que vaya  a ser un disco que haga records de ventas, pero si que he encontrado alguna canción que me ha llamado la atención, y como este blog, más que de discos es de canciones he querido dejar en él una de las canciones de su última obra. Es evidente que el grupo tiene un cierto potencial, pero lo primero que tienen que hacer, desde mi humilde opinión, es darle un poco más de filo a sus temas. El tema al que me quiero referir hoy es su "Skull and Crossbones", el que más me ha llamado la atención en pocas escuchas, ya que he de reconocer que le debo al grupo y al disco unas cuantas audiciones para poder forjarme una idea más ajustada a la realidad de su calidad.
