Canciones para una vida - Inner Axis - The Last Stand (Of The 300)

THE  LAST  STAND  (OF  THE  300)

Regresando a la música de esta banda alemana, "Inner Axis", hoy quiero echar un vistazo al comienzo de su producción musical, al primero de los LP's que editaron, en una carrera más larga de lo que su producción musical puede indicar, ya que dos LP's se antojan escasos, más aún mirando el nivelón del debut del grupo. Centrandonos en esta primera obra, volvemos atrás hasta el año 2011, cuando el grupo había cambiado aún recientemente su nombre de "Midgard" a "Inner Axis". Estamos hablando de un heavy power metal de buena ejecución, de una composición en ese momento de un cierto sabor épico, un tanto en el plan de las bandas griegas o italianas pero con un aire más tecnico si se quiere, de la escuela germana. Como digo, un debut más que interesante del que hoy quiero dejar una de sus canciones, concretamente "The last stand (of the 300)", temazo del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Inner Axis - The Call Of Steel

THE  CALL  OF  STEEL

 Inner Axis son una banda alemana cuya trayectoria es mucho más larga de lo que su nombre indica ya que con apenas repercusión en la escena internacional sus integrantes si que, sin embargo, llevan una larga temporada en esto del metal, primero bajo el nombre de "Midgard" y luego, ya desde 2008 bajo este nombre de Inner Axis. La banda ha hecho gala de una envidiable estabilidad manteniendo a sus integrantes, (todos) desde el inicio, algo cada vez más raro de ver, si bien su discografía como Inner Axis se limita solo a dos LP's, "Into the storm" de 2011 y "We live by the steel" de 2017. Como digo, su carrera se alarga teniendo en cuenta que practicamente la misma banda tocaba bajo el nombre de Midgard desde 1999, editando solo tres demos en ese periodo bajo esa denominación, una época que duro nueve años hasta que en 2008 pasan a llamarse Inner Axis cambiando la vocalista femenina por el actual cantante Kai Hagemann. Así pues la estabilidad no se les puede negar. En cuanto al sonido que podemos esperar es unheavy power metal, con una cierta vocación épico-true sin llegar ni mucho manos a extremos, con un aire por ejemplo a sus compatriotas "Messenger", elegante sonido pues que hará las delicias de los amantes del sonido power europeo, con coros y cabalgadas riff que en seguida se meten en la cabeza. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog un tema de su segundo, y hasta la fecha de esta reseña último trabajo de estudio "We live by the steel", de 2017, en concreto "The call of steel" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
