RISE  TO  VALHALLA

De nuevo el disco del estadounidense "Durbin" en el blog, una agradable sorpresa que como ya he mencionado en una reseña anterior, de la que no tenía noticia alguna y que se ha sacado de la manga un más que aceptable disco, "The beast awakens" de este 2021. Como digo el motor en torno al que todo gira en la banda es James Durbin que pone voz y guitarra en la obra, y el foco, el espejo que busca en su sonido es el del heavy de toda la vida pero con un baño moderno, siempre declarado fan de DIO su sonido se abre a más de una vertiente pero siempre deja ese rasgo de calidad. Otra de las canciones que me ha gustado de este debut ha sido "Rise to valhalla", de la que hoy quiero dejar en el blog un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Durbin - The Prince Of Metal

 

THE  PRINCE  OF  METAL

"Durbin"  como banda, comienza en estos días a dar sus primeros pasos en la escena internacional con su debut "The beast awakens" de este 2021, pero estamos ante uno de esos grupos que, si bien, y en general, dan la sensación de haber salido de ninguna parte, en realidad está respaldado por la figura de un músico que lleva ya a sus espaldas un amplio recorrido en esto de la música y cuenta con un reconocimiento bastante unánime a su trabajo como cantante y guitarrista y compositor. De origen estadounidense este chico ha sacado cuatro discos de estudio bajo su nombre "James Durbin" hasta que decide dejar su nombre aparte y con su apellido comienza este reto nuevo profesional apoyado por "Frontiers records". Este primer LP muestra un heavy metal de corte clásico, donde deja claro ese regusto por el material de toda la vida y muestra ampliamente su potencial tanto vocal como compositivo. Desde luego tiene pinta de querer permanecer en un punto más visible de la escena internacional, y a poco que se lo proponga ese potencial hará que lo logre.
