CHILDREN  OF  CAIN

Nueva canción que dejo en el blog de la tercera obra de estudio del proyecto colaborativo de las mentes tras dos bandas descomunales como son "Blind Guardian" y "Iced Earth". Es una de esas ocasiones en las que la voz de Hansi no eclipsa todo llevando a su terreno Blind guardianesco cada una de las cosas que toca, es decir, el equilibrio en este grupo "Demons and Wizards" es enorme y así, la capacidad compositiva de ambos músicos sale a relucir creando un auténtico híbrido pura sangre capaz de satisfacer a amantes de ambas bandas. Otro buen ejemplo este tema, "Children of Cain" del que hoy dejo un enlace a youtube.

UNIVERSAL  TRUTH

 El tandem Schaffer - Kursch es una vez más demostración de como, al juntar esfuerzos músicos de primera el resultado no puede ser otro que eso, de primera. Hoy quiero traer al blog por segunda vez una de las canciones de la nueva obra editada este año 2020. Evidentemente la creación de material entre músicos con un caracter musical y compositivo tan marcado como es el caso de ambos, hace que la mezcla resulte interesante, algo ya comprobado en las dos anteriores obras del proyecto "Demons & Wizards", algo que se perpetua en este "III" de 2020. Puede ser tildado como falto de innovación, pero también se puede mirar desde las muchas virtudes que aporta. Hoy dejo en el blog la canción "Universal Truth", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Demons And Wizards - Diabolic

DIABOLIC

 Otro de los proyectos paralelos del alma mater de Blind Guardian, Hansi Kursch, le llevó hace 20 años a formar sociedad con el también alma mater de la banda estadounidense Iced Earth, John Schaffer. Desde el inicio ambos se tomaron esa colaboración justamente de esa manera, como un proyecto paralelo, sin la presión ni posiblemente la intención de dar un paso adelante y crear un futuro lleno de obras bajo el nombre de "Demons and Wizards". Desde aquel 1999 y su debut con el nombre de la banda han pasado ya, como decía al inicio más de 20 años y este 2020 que está a punto de comenzar parece ser la fecha escogida por la pareja de músicos para editar su tercer LP que llevará por título "III".Desde el comienzo también, quedo patente que la calidad y el interés suscitado ante semejante alianza prometía ser grande, y con creces cumplido se generó un interesante híbrido de la mente creadora de ambos compositores que ha permanecido al mismo nivel en las, hasta el momento, dos obras conocidas, y por lo que puede verse a través del primer adelanto de la tercera, más de lo mismo. El disco se espera para el 21 de febrero de manera oficial, y hasta ese instante "Diabolic" es su primer adelanto, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

CRIMSON  KING

Segunda y última obra de este proyecto germano estadounidense, que tras su salida no ha editado nada nuevo, desde 2005. Demons and wizards es uno de esos proyectos en los que los músicos buscan dar salida a una vertiente compositiva un tanto diferente a la de sus bandas madre, es una de las muchas bandas de colaboración que se han ido dando a lo largo del tiempo en la escena internacional, pero como se suele decir, el todo es más que la suma de sus partes, y es que hablamos de músicos de primera linea internacional, que al unir su visión particular y juntarla en este proyecto nos dejaron un par de discos mucho más que interesantes, sobre todo y a mi particularmente el primero de ellos. A estas alturas no vamos a descubrir a Hansi Kursch o John Schaffer, lideres de las bandas Blind Guardian y Iced Earth respectivamente, y con tales garantías, apoyadas en unas discografías más que notables, no parece descabellado romper una lanza a favor de esta banda de colaboración, aún a pesar de que no la hubieseis escuchado nunca y conociendo el trabajo de ambos músicos por separado. Con Hansi a la voz y John a las cuerdas, (guitarra y bajo), las expectativas levantadas son grandes. Por todos es conocido que aquello que toca Hansi recibe casi inmediatamente un baño "Blindguardianesco" pero a ello hemos de sumar el toque Iced Earth, más contundente, un tanto "thrasy", un poco más "americano", el resultado es una amalgama de sonido, repito, para mi gusto mejor en su primer álbum, que puede agradar tanto a los seguidores de unos como de otros. la verdad es que el proyecto quedó en suspensión, sin darse por terminado ni prometer una continuación habiendo visto la luz bajo el nombre de "Demons & Wizards" dos albumes de estudio, "Demons & Wizards" de 1999 y "Touched by the crimson king" de 2005, del que hoy voy a dejar en el blog el tema "Crimson King", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
