Wolfpakk - Land Of Wolves

LAND  OF  WOLVES 

El último LP publicado por la banda alemana Wolfpakk, a fecha de esta reseña, sigue siendo "Nature Strikes Back" de 2020, así pues ya seis años de silencio compositivo empieza a resultar demasiado para permanecer en la memoria de la mayoría en estos tiempos que vivimos de pura inmediatez. Deberían retomar la actividad en este aspecto porque en general la banda repleta de colaboraciones tiene un elevado nivel, y en esta última obra publicada vuelven a elevarlo respecto del anterior, sobre todo en el tono medio general de la obra. De ella dejo hoy en el blog uno de los temas que más me gustan de ella, "Land of wolves" con Mats Leven, otro gran nombre, en funciones vocales.Dejo un enlace a youtube.

Wolfpakk - Falling

 

FALLING 

El proyecto - banda germano (o internacional podríamos decir atendiendo al elevado número de invitados internacionales que participan), Wolfpakk, nace en 2010 uniendo las fuerzas de dos músicos asentados como son Michael Voss, cantante y guitarrista unido a nombres como Mad Max o Bonfire entre otros, y Mark Sweeney, de Crystal Ball, cantante, con una pretensión de heavy melódico, cayendo en el Hard Rock melódico igualmente, con una calidad que se les supone, y que cumplen, pero con unas expectativas que en ocasiones no terminan de cumplir, como en el caso de esta su cuarta obra de estudio "Wolves Reign", que ya sea por las citadas expectativas que venían despertando en las anteriores obras, sea por falta de innovación en su sonido, y a pesar de los buenos momentos que se encuentran en la obra, parecen no terminar de cuajar a medida que esta avanza. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de las canciones del disco que más eleva el tono medio del mismo, la canción con la que lo abren, "Falling", y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Wolfpakk - Nature Strikes Back

NATURE  STRIKES  BACK

Primer adelanto del ya quinto disco de estudio de este dúo de músicos alemanes que forman la banda "Wolfpakk", siempre sabiendo rodearse de una serie de músicos no "fijos" de primerisimo nivel y de bandas de renombre para editar obras más que interesantes enclave de heavy power metal melódico.En esta ocasión, el quinto disco de estudio "Nature strikes back" se editará de forma oficial el próximo mes de enero del inminente ya 2020. Parece que a nivel compositivo siguen los parámetros previos, lo cual es buena noticia a priori y en este primer single "Nature strikes back" de título idéntico al álbum, acompaña por ejemplo al dúo de músicos "Mikkey Dee" batería con Scorpions y Motorhead entre otros. Canciones para una vida - Wolfpakk - Rise Of The Animal

RISE  OF  THE  ANIMAL

Traigo otra vez al blog este más que interesante disco de este más que interesante proyecto, "Wolfpakk", un proyecto de dos cantantes alemanes de primer nivel, Mark Sweeny (Ex de Crystal ball), y Michael Voss (Ex de Bonfire y en activo con Mad Max). Ambos deciden en 2010 crear este proyecto en común basado en un heavy metal melódico, que vió su primera obra de estudio publicada en 2011 bajo el título de "Wofpakk" y comienzan con las colaboraciones con músicos de primera línea. En 2013 deciden sacar su segunda obra , con aun más colaboraciones, algo que han llevado aún más lejos con este tercer disco, de título "Rise of the animal", de este 2015. Así en su último disco podemos encontrar las colaboraciones en funciones vocales de Michael Kiske (Ex-Helloween, Unisonic), Andi Deris (Helloween), Ted Poley (Danger Danger), Joe Lynn Turner (Ex-Rainbow, Ex-Malmsteen), Rick Altzi (Masterplan), David Reece (Ex-Accept), Charlie Huhn (Ex-Gary Moore, Foghat), Don Dokken (Dokken), Marc Storace (Krokus), Michaela Schober (Tanz der Vampire), Jean-Marc Viller (Callaway), en el puesto de bajo Bob Daisley (Ex-Gary Moore, Black Sabbath), Al Barrow (Magnum), Barend Courbois (Blind Guardian), a la guitarra Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), Ryan Roxie (Alice Cooper), Bernie Torme (Ozzy Osbourne), John Norum (Europe), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio, Foreigner), Axel Rudi Pell (Axel Rudi Pell), Martin Rauber (Top4Tea), al teclado Chris Ivo (Ex-Jaded Heart), Pablo Allen (Bagpipes from the band Skiltron), o en la bateria Mike Terrana (Tarja Turunen, Ex-Rage, Ex-Stratovarius), Mark Schulman (Billy Idol, Pink), Simon Philips (Ex-Toto), Chris Slade (Ex-AC/DC), Gereon Homann (Eat the gun), ahí es nada. Musicalmente hablando el disco se basa en temas en base de heavy metal melódico, en ocasiones más hacia un hard rock moderno y electrónico tipo Brother Firetribe, y en otras más hacia el power metal. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog el tema que da título a este último disco editado por la banda, "Rise of the animal", de 2015, un tema que como plus cuenta con la colaboración de Michael kiske y su portentoso chorro de voz, y el toque a las seis cuerdas entre otros de nada menos que Axel Rudi Pell, en una composición larga, de casi 9 minutos, con una gran atmósfera que va conquistandote a medida que evoluciona, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
