Segundo adelanto del que será el sexto LP de estudio de los suecos Veonity, que verá la luz de forma oficial el 18 de octubre y que tendrá por título "The Final Element". El título de este segundo single es "Riders of the revolution", un nuevo ejercicio de power de corte europeo muy en la onda de lo que debe ser ese sonido, sobre todo en la escuela sueca, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

THE  FIFTH  ELEMENT

Los suecos Veonity son una de esas bandas que casi imperceptiblemente irrumpieron, "a lo suyo" en el panorama internacional (2013), y que poco a poco han ido mostrando calidad y buen hacer hasta conformar ya una respetable discografía de seis LP's de estudio si incluimos  "The Fifth element" que verá la luz de forma oficial el próximo 18 de octubre. Power metal de corte europeo, escuela sueca, sinónimo de producción cuidada y en general acierto compositivo a lo largo de toda su carrera. El primero de los adelantos de la nueva obra es el que la da nombre, "The fifth element" y de él dejo hoy un enlace a youtube.

WAR

Vamos de nuevo a la escena sueca, que por lo general tantas alegrías nos da a los amantes de la calidad, hoy para recuperar otra canción de la banda Veonity, un grupo en clave de power metal de corte europeo lleno de melodía que va entrando ya en un momento de su carrera maduro, ya que llevan ya más de una década de actividad con cinco frutos compositivos en forma de LP, van poco a poco dando forma a una carrera que antes o después debería alcanzar cotas más elevadas de reconocimiento atendiendo a su buen hacer. Hoy quiero recuperar otro de los temas de su penúltimo album de estudio "Sorros" de 2020, concretamente la canción "War" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Veonity - Altar Of Power

 

ALTAR  OF  POWER

Los suecos continuan con su sistemática y ya ciertamente considerable carrera a través de su quinto LP de estudio "Elements of power" que ha visto la luz este pasado mes de febrero del presente 2022. Sistemáticos desde la perspectiva de una carrera perfectamente estructurada, con un disco cada dos años más o menos entre el que intercalan tres o cuatro singles, de momento fieles a su sonido power de corte europeo, con una impecable producción y una temática de fantasía que flirtea con el espacio y el tiempo. Definitivamente estamos ante una obra que si bien no inventa nada nuevo ni en el estilo ni en la banda si que hace disfrutar de los tópicos del euro power, será del agrado de todos los seguidores del subgénero y creo que sirve de asentamiento definitivo de una banda que lleva ya desde 2013 dando guerra, creciendo poco a poco y a la que se le debería dar mayor presencia por el enorme potencial que poseen. De esta última obra de Veonity dejo hoy en el blog la canción "Altar Of power", con sus coros épicos, canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Veonity - Free Again

 

FREE  AGAIN

Va desarrollandose la carrera musical de estos suecos, "Veonity" que comenzaran su andadura musical allá por 2013, y desde entonces cuatro son los LP's que constituyen su discografía, el último de ellos, "Sorrows" del recién pasado 2020. Como nexo común compositivo hablamos de un power de corte europeo, un tanto enfocado a esa vertiente más moderna pero sin exagerar, y en ocasiones pueden mostrar un patrón compositivo más acelerado a lo "Dragonforce", pero solo en ocasiones y en lo que a velocidad se refiere. Sea como fuere, calidad, buena producción, y composición que sin ser innovadora en absoluto si que ejecuta perfectamente el concepto que representa. Otro dato que habla bien de la banda es la estabilidad en su formación que permanece inalterada desde 2013, algo cada vez más raro de ver en los tiempos que corren, al menos parecen convencidos ellos mismos de lo que hacen, y suele ser un plus en la evolución de las bandas , en su asentamiento. De este "Sorrows" de 2020 quiero dejar hoy en el blog una de sus canciones, concretamente "Free again", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Veonity - Freedom Vikings

FREEDOM  VIKINGS

Nuevamente la tercera obra de estudio de la banda sueca Veonity en el blog, es decir, power metal de corte europeo, de composición clásica dentro del subgénero con los cliches esperables en este tipo de sonido. La mexcla temática sigue la línea anterior, aunque en esta ocasión a su gusto por el espacio unen el toque vikingo, una amalgama un tanto heterogénea a no ser que uno se fije en el concepto de "Thor" de la películas de Marvel. En general estamos ante un sonido que se afianza grandemente en el terreno del power clásico de finales del pasado siglo e inicios del presente, pero con ciertas inmersiones en terrenos progresivos, sin falta de coros y otros elementos clásicos y sin un alargamiento excesivo de los temas o las estructuras compositivas, más power que progresivo. Si conoces ya la obra anterior de la banda esto va en la misma línea, y de esta tercera obra, "Legend of the Starborn" de 2018, quiero hoy dejar en el blog la canción "Freedom Vikings", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Veonity - Starborn

STARBORN

 Tercera obra de estudio de los suecos "Veonity", un disco que va completamente en la línea compositiva de su anterior obra "Into the void" de 2016 de la que ya hablé en el blog  Nos encontramos de nuevo ante un disco en clave de power metal, de corte europeo, cuya temática en esta nueva obra parece continuar la idea comenzada en el anterior disco "Into the void", un tanto espacial, adaptada y mezclada en este disco con la temática viquinga, lucha del bien y el mal, tecnología y tradición, todo ello al fin temas que funcionan muy bien por lo general tradicionalmente con el estilo power. Nada nuevo, o demasiado innovador, pero indudablemente bien ejecutado. Canciones para una vida - Veonity - Warriors Of Time

WARRIORS  OF  TIME

 Veonity es una banda bastante nueva, procedente de la pulcra y por lo general técnica escuela sueca para enmarcar su sonido en un power de corte clásico europeo, muy acorde a su origen.  Como digo es un grupo aún de corto recorrido, que se forma en 2013 y que, hasta la fecha de esta reseña han editado un EP, "Live Forever" en ese mismo 2013, y dos LP's "Gladiator's Tale" de 2015 e "Into the Void" de 2016. Habiendo seguido su carrera desde el inicio si que debo decir que he notado una cierta evolución desde su primer al segundo disco, a pesar del corto espacio de tiempo entre ambos, encontrando quizá un cierto baño más moderno en este "Into the Void" aunque siempre manteniendo el foco en los grandes clásicos europeos del género. Hoy quiero escoger una de las canciones de este "Into the Void", concretamente el que se presentó como primer single de la obra, "Warriors Of Time", del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.
