BEAUTIFUL SPRING
Volvemos a Fangorn en este nuestro blog para referirnos en esta ocasión a su primer disco de estudio, "Mysterious land", gran debut que abre la hasta ahora corta, pero para mi gusto llena de calidad, carrera musical. Con tan solo dos discos a sus espaldas hasta la fecha de esta reseña, el citado "Mysterious Land" de 2010 y su posterior "Where the tales live on" del que ya hemos hablado en este blog, desde el momento en el que leemos su nombre "Fangorn" nos hacemos una idea de que puede ir su música, ya que como muchos sabreis, Fangorn es un término sacado de la mitología Tolkieniana, cocretamente se refiere a un bosque que lleva ese nombre. Musicalmente hablando, esta banda hace un folk metal, de corte death melódico, que será sin duda del gusto de los amantes de bandas como Ensiferum y similares. La banda se formó en 2007 y en sus inicios tuvo una cierta estabilidad en cuanto a miembros algo que se solucionó entre 2008 y 2009, donde la ida y venida de músicos cesó, editándose como decía su primer LP, este "Mysterious Land" en 2010, siendo sus integrantes, Vladimir "VK" Bronin al bajo, Ivan "Red Joker" Kashirin en la batería, Vladimir "Pagan" Fedorov en las voces y guitarra, Vitaly "Grendel" Senchenko en los teclados y voz, y Alexsandr "Sweeper" Dunaev a la guitarra, este último ya no presente en en la banda para su segundo disco. Centrándonos en el primer disco, que hoy nos ocupa, este "Mysterious Land", de 2010, vemos claramente el potencial de este buen grupo que antes o después debería alcanzar mayor reconocimiento si atendemos a su calidad, si acaso y por ponerle un pero al disco su excesiva brevedad ya que apenas dura media hora y uno se queda con ganas de más, algo que logra satisfacer en su segundo LP. To the place where elves sing

In early morning
We gather here
We sit under the huge pines
Round fire in the ring
And together we meet
A beautiful spring

We will open flank of beer
Let there will be a fun
Sun beams shine on our faces
When we sing our songs
Elven girls dance on a glade
Flowers in their hair
Winter force has left away
Spring has come to these lands…again…
