Candlemass - Black Star - Canciones Para Una Vida

Los suecos Candlemass regresan en este 2025 al estudio para editar un EP con dos temas nuevos y dos versiones para celebrar sus cuatro décadas de actividad y reivindicar de esta forma su importante papel dentro del heavy metal en general y del doom en particular. Así, a través del tema que da nombre al EP, un tema instrumental de segundo plato y dos versiones de temas y bandas clásicas de postre que rinden así homenaje a los cimientos de nuestro sonido de los que los suecos forman también parte.  THE  WELL  OF  SOULS

 Vamos con una de esas bandas a las que se le considera normalmente como pionera en lo suyo ya que estos suecos son reconocidos como uno de los primeros grupos puramente doom añadiendo siempre un detalle épico a sus composiciones. Formados bajo el nombre de Nemesis en 1982, gran parte de esos músicos continuan juntos cambiando el nombre de la banda a Candlemass que continua hasta la actualidad con un par de parones a medio camino e ininterrumpidamente desde 2004 en adelante. 12 LP's de estudio componen su discografía a fecha de esta reseña, y hoy quiero echar la vista atrás para rescatar una de las canciones de su segundo LP "Nightfall" de 1987, en concreto "The well of souls" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
