BEYOND  ENEMY  LINES

Nuevo adelanto de los alemanes Brainstorm, quienes, domando un poco su agresivo inicio de carrera, han perfeccionado un sonido mucho más asequible al gran público, sobre todo desde que han puesto en manos de Seeb Levermann el tema de la producción y grabación de su material, el resultado esta cada vez más a la vista, sonido cada vez más asentado en la nueva dirección, y un nombre que va también creciendo obra tras obra. El 28 de febrero verá la luz este "Plague of rats" del que hoy dejo en el blog su single "Beyond the enemy lines", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

GARUDA  (EATER  OF  SNAKES)

Los alemanes Brainstorm están de estreno a comienzos de 2025, con la que será su décimo cuarta obra de estudio en formato LP, en la que continuan con su tendencia más reciente hacia la apertura al gran público a través de sus composiciones más asequibles en clave de europower, algo a lo que Seeb Levermann que una vez más se encarga de la producción, ha contribuido claramente desde que se hizo cargo de ese apartado. El disco llevará por título "Plague of rats" y verá la luz de forma oficial a finales del mes de febrero, y en estos días nos han dejado su primer adelanto, "Garuda (Eater of snakes), del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

WHERE  RAVENS  FLY

 Segundo zarpazo de adelanto del que será el décimo tercer Lp de estudio ya de los alemanes Braistorm, quienes han dado ese giro en sus últimas obras hacia un power más puro, más "Europower", pero que muestra su propio sello compositivo y que una vez más, en este segundo adelanto de su nueva mencionada obra "Wall of skulls" cuya salida oficial se espera para mediados de agosto, mustran todos esos elementos característicos de su carrera. Hablamos pues de calidad compositiva y producción pulcra, (con la colaboración una vez más de Seeb Levermann de Orden Ogan). Este segundo single de adelanto se titula "Where ravens fly" y de él dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

ESCAPE  THE  SILENCE

A la vista ya tenemos el nuevo material de estudio de los alemanes "Brainstorm", una de esas bandas que durante muchos años han logrado practicamente subsistir sin alcanzar mayores metas de reconocimiento para dar un giro en los ultimos años encaminandose más hacia un power más clásico y con el consejo del buen hacer de Seeb Levermann de Orden Ogan en la producción dar un paso más allá hacia mayores ventas y un sonido con más "filo" que ha ido llegando a más seguidores y de la mano a mayor reconocimiento general. El próximo disco de la banda "Wall of skulls" será ya el décimo tercer LP del grupo y verá la luz de forma oficial el 20 de agosto, y de él nos llega el primero de los adelantos, "Escape the silence", canción que cuenta con la colaboración de Peavy Wagner de "Rage", y que redunda en la idea que acabo de exponer, discos más cuidados en todo que van haciendo subir peldaños poco a poco a la banda, una canción eta "Escape the silence" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

SECRETS  AND  RELATED  LIES

Ahora que Brainstorm comienza una gira junto con Mob Rules y Gloryful para presentar su trabajo "Midnight Ghost" en vivo, el que supone ya el décimo segundo disco de estudio de la historia de la banda, vemos un rasgo más de madurez, en este caso en el campo del marketing, ya que para promocionar dicha gira la banda nos regala un tema completamente nuevo que por lo tanto no aparece en ninguna edición del citado último LP "Midnight Ghost". Ya he comentado como la banda ha experimentado un cierto cambio en su forma de enfocar su carrera, desde lo sonoro con el apoyo de Seeb Levermann con una tendencia mayor al power clásico europeo, más reluciente y vendible, porque no. Todo ello supone un crecimiento del grupo en calidad y nombre que ahora se refrenda con la nueva gira con esas otras dos bandas alemanas anteriormente citadas. es evidente que hoy en día hay que ofrecer más cosas cada vez para mantener la atención del gran público, y en ello están "Brainstorm" con la edición de este "Secrets and related lies" de forma digital, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Brainstorm - Ravenous Minds

RAVENOUS  MINDS

"Ravenous Minds" es una de las canciones de este ya duodécimo disco de estudio de los alemanes "Brainstorm" en las que más se nota la manos de "Seeb Levermann" en la producción de la nueva obra de estos chicos. Sin duda, y como ya he dicho en muchas ocasiones en el blog, el cantante, guitarra y compositor de Orden Ogan es una de las figuras importantes dentro de la escena internacional en lo que a power metal se refiere, y lo muestra tanto con su banda madre como en temas de producción a otras bandas como es el caso de este último trabajo publicado por Brainstorm. Desde luego esta banda va haciendo de su sonido algo cada vez más limpio, más dentro de los cánones más puristas que el estilo power de corte europeo exige, y esta obra "Midnight Ghost" es buena prueba de ello en mi opinión. Consistente en conjunto y con buenos destellos concretos, como puede ser el caso de este "Ravenous Minds" que hoy traigo al bllog y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

THE  PYRE

 Brainstorm edita nuevo trabajo, el décimo segundo LP de estudio en una larguísima ya carrera que se extiende desde finales de los 80 hasta el presente. La obra, titulada "Midnight Ghost" verá la luz de manera oficial el próximo 28 de septiembre y muestra una novedad reseñable al tratarse de la primera obra en que la banda confía en la figura de Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann en funciones de producción, guitarrista y principal motor de la banda Orden Ogan, y con una carrera de productor cada vez más extensa a la que ahora se añade la banda alemana Brainstorm. De esta décimo segunda obra hoy quiero dejar en el blog su primer adelanto, "The Pyre" que sirve para comprobar lo que nos espera en este nuevo disco, así a primera escucha en la onda de lo anteriormente publicado por el grupo, veremos hasta donde llega la mano de Levermann o no, en definitiva power de calidad del que dejo un enlace a youtube de este "The Pyre".

WE  ARE

Brainstorm es una banda de power metal alemana, una de esas que lleva a sus espaldas un enorme recorrido, una sólida carrera, que a pesar de no haber contado nunca con las bendiciones del gran público en general, si que ha demostrado constancia, buen hacer y grandes destellos de calidad, y recomiendo zambullirse en su discografía si es que aún no lo has hecho, pues encontrarás más de una sorpresa agradable, estoy seguro. Su sólido concepto musical hace que nos encontremos ante un grupo comparado y comparable a muchas bandas, de varios estilos, lo que habla de un sonido propio que bebe de varias fuentes, pero podríamos resumirlo como contundente power metal, con algún flirteo incluso thrash en algún momento de su carrera. El grupo se forma en 1989, y desde entonces ha continuado su carrera ininterrumpidamente, habiendo editado, a fecha de esta reseña, 11 LP's y un EP. El núcleo de la banda ha permanecido inalterado desde su fundación, como siempre, estabilidad es un seguro de durablilidad, y en muchas ocasiones de calidad. Así, Dieter Bernert al la batería, Milan Loncaric guitarra y voz (acompañamiento), y Torsten Ihlenfeld guitarra y voz (acompañamiento), llevan juntos desde el inicio del grupo, y por ejemplo su actual cantante, Andy B. Franck, lleva ya en el grupo desde 1999. Lo dicho, estabilidad que les ha dado la ocasión de desarrollar una sólida carrera en que su sonido se ha asentado en ese contundente power metal que les caracteriza. Hoy quiero traer al blog un tema de lo que será su undécimo álbum de estudio, "Scary Creatures", que verá la luz el 15 del presente mes, es decir en una semanita, y del que hoy quiero dejar uno de sus temas de adelanto, en concreto "We Are", con todos los ingredientes del sonido Brainstorm, quizás un pelin más "comerciales" de lo habitual, pero como siempre interesantes.
