UNDER  A  CRYING  STORM

los canadienses "Northeim" de sonido plenamente nórdico , llevan ya muchos años sin sacar material nuevo de estudio (desde 2017), a pesar de seguir en activo y de haber demostrado ese buen hacer y esa calidad innegable en los tres LP's que hasta la fecha de esta reseña adornan su discografía. Como digo death metal melódico, con tintes folk y en ocasiones casi power, que cualquiera que no conociese el origen de la banda les buscaría en escandinavia más que en ningún otro punto del globo, sin embargo es la también estraordinaria cantera canadiense la que marca el origen de la banda. 2013 fue el año escogido por la banda para publicar su segundo LP de estudio, "Refill", album completamente de confirmación tras su buen debut de 2010, y del citado segundo album dejo hoy en el blog otro de sus temas, en esta ocasión "Under a crying storm", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Nordheim - Mask Of The Banned One

MASK OF THE BANNED ONE

Nordheim son una banda canadiense que hace un death metal melódico con gran carga folk. Su historia comienza en 2006 cuando se forman en Quebec, y hasta la fecha de esta reseña han editado dos excelentes LP's, "Lost in the North", de 2010, y "Refill" en 2013. Su música es también el resultado de sus confesadas influencias musicales procedentes de grupos como Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, Turisas, Moonsorrow, Finntroll, Wintersun, Amon Amarth, según confiesan en su Facebook. por lo tanto en sus discos podemos encontrar melodías agresivas y folk a partes iguales, siempre en una onda vocal tipo death melódico. Ambos discos son recomendables, y al hablar hoy de su "Refill" , de 2013, ya nos habremos referido a toda su discografía en el blog hasta la fecha de esta reseña. Esta segunda obra sigue en gran medida las directrices de su anterior trabajo "Lost in the north", con esas melodías tan enganchonas, y ese ambiente general épico, un disco que al igual que su debut enseguida se queda en la cabeza, directo, y bastante bueno en su conjunto, con varios temas destacables por su calidad, como es el caso de este "Mask of the banned one" que hoy quiero dejar en el blog, un tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

GLORIOUS MARCH

Nordheim son una banda canadiense que hace un death metal melódico con gran carga folk. Su historia comienza en 2006 cuando se forman en Quebec, y hasta la fecha de esta reseña han editado dos excelentes LP's, "Lost in the North", de 2010, y "Refill" en 2013. Ambos discos son recomendables, y de ambos hablaremos en el blog, hoy quiero comenzar por su debut, "Lost in the north", de 2010, disco absolutamente épico del que pueden destacarse muchos temas, gran disco en su conjunto si te gusta el estilo, melodías super enganchonas, que te hacen tener la sensación de conocer los temas muy pronto. 10 canciones que componen el álbum, tan buenas como este "Glorious march" que quiero hoy dejar en el blog y del que dejo un enlace a youtube. Volveremos a estos chicos antes o después inevitablemente, por su calidad ya demostrada y porque además están aún al inicio de su carrera, la cual, si siguen por este camino, promete muy buenos momentos musicales.
