Nuevo single a la vista para la banda británica de power metal Battle Born, que en 2023 sacase su debut en formato LP con su disco "Blood fire magic and steel", el título de la obra da muchas pistas de sus intenciones compositivas, y es que estamos ante un prototípico ejemplo de lo que es el euro power. Ya en 2024 sacaron otro single, "Magic and steel" y con este "One on one" siguen esa tendencia actual de las bandas a sacar canciones aparentemente sin un disco inminente, también para mantenerse visibles en la escena internacional tan atestada como lo es la actual. dejo en el blog hoy un enlace a youtube de este  "One on one".

DRAGONHEART 

Ya nos dejaron estos ingleses, Battle Born una buena sensación con su EP debut en 2020, y este 2023 ha sido el año en que han confirmado las sospechas con su primer larga duración titulado "Blood fire magic and steel". Hablamos de power metal, con una cierta base electrónica, un enfoque a medio camino entre lo clásico y lo moderno, desde luego siempre le viene a uno a la cabeza que se han mirado en el espejo de lo hecho por bandas tipo gloryhammer o beast in black por ejemplo. Basando su temática en la serie de videojuegos "The elder scrolls" prometen al menos en ese sentido tener material para largo y musicalmente, como digo, tienen mimbres suficientes para desarrollar una carrera destacable. De este debut quiero hoy dejar en el blog uno de sus temas, "Dragonheart" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

BLOOD  AND  FIRE

Después del buen sabor de boca que los británicos nos dejaron en 2020 con su debut en formato EP, "Battle born", en este 2023 llegan los primeros ecos de su primer LP de estudio, "Blood , fire, Magic and steel" que verá la luz de forma oficial a mitad de mayo. Intantáneamente tras su sencillo "Blood and fire" queda patente en el tema productivo, y en algunos elementos compositivos, sobre todo en los coros, la mano del músico "Seeb Levermann" que aquí apadrina desde la producción de la obra al grupo en ciernes. Siempre queda rastro de este gran músico en lo que toca, ese aire más o menos presente de Orden Ogan, lo cual es para mí siempre una buena noticia. Canciones para una vida - Battle Born - Sovngarde Awaits

SOVNGARDE  AWAITS

Siguiendo con el subgénero power quiero hoy traer al blog los primeros pasos de una banda inglesa, "Battle Born", que hace menos de un mes publicó su primer material en forma de EP. Nos encontramos ante un prototípico grupo del subgénero de corte europeo. Está claro que la cuna inglesa no ha destacado por este tipo de sonido en concreto aunque tenga buenos ejemplos en ese sentido, pero este grupo promete apuntar a la escuela germana o sueca en futuras producciones a juzgar por su debut. Nutriendose en lo lírico de temas de fantasía, concretamente de la saga de juegos "The Elder Scrolls", vemos un ingrediente más del potencial por el que pretenden desarrollar su carrera. De momento , sin apoyo discográfico, han sabido sacar un buen sonido a su propuesta de cinco temas, un debut interesante del que hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de sus canciones, la que cierra el EP, "Sovngarde Awaits", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
