Canciones para una vida - Keldian - Run For Your Life

 

RUN  FOR  YOUR  LIFE

Cualquiera que haya juzgado el sonido de los noruegos Keldian por la última de sus obras, e incluso diría más yendo a sus últimos dos trabajos, se estaría perdiendo la mejor parte de su historia, sobre todo juzgandola desde una perspectiva más power, más heavy, más contundente. Siempre muestran calidad, por supuesto, y siempre han demostrado que no les preocupa mucho la opinión de las masas, dan la sensación de seguir sus propios impulsos compositivos, y estos últimos les han alejado un poco de su propuesta inicial que a mi entender no tenía desperdicio. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una de las canciones que componen su tercer LP de estudio, "Outbound" de 2013, concretamente uno, "Run for your life", que ilustra bien ese cierto cambio al que hoy me refiero, siendo un tema bastante más directo, y power, del que dejo hoy un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Keldian - Thunderstorm Of The Century

 

THUNDERSTORM  OF  THE  CENTURY

El quinto LP de los noruegos Keldian es una de esas obras que ha dado un cierto giro al sonido de la banda, si bien es cierto que estos chicos se caracterizan por hacer caso solamente a su idea compositiva, y que además desde el inicio han tenido nula relación con las discográficas, evitando así cualquier tipo de presión a la hora de tomar uno u otro camino compositivo, el giro mencionado en este LP, "The bloodwater rebellion" es bastante notorio, siempre hay momentos innegablemente Keldian, pero el influjo casi de rock clásico, de un sonido ajeno al metal propiamente dicho, es perceptible, y seguramente dejará a más de uno de sus segudores más "Power" un tanto frios. Como digo, los temas por ejemplo "We are rebellion" o este "Thunderstorm of the century" que hoy dejo en el blog, presentan una mayor cercanía al sonido previo de la banda, aunque siempre hay que darle a la obra las escuchas necesarias para hacerse un juicio con garantías de justicia. Veremos hacia donde dirigen sus pasos futuros, por el momento dejo hoy un enlace a youtube de este "Thunderstorm of the century".

Canciones para una vida - Keldian - We Are Rebellion

 

WE  ARE  REBELLION

Los noruegos Keldian están de vuelta para disfrute de sus fieles, que sin ser muchos aún por el desconocimiento general de la banda si que parecen ir en aumento con el transcurrir de su carrera que con este "The bloodwater rebellion" aumentan su discografía a cinco LP's de estudio. Formados en 2006 la banda siempre ha funcionado de forma independiente, marcando su propio camino y sus propios ritmos, por lo tanto a su favor el camino exacto por el que querían discurrir, y en contra la limitada repercusión que sus produciones alcanzan en general, aunque quien se acerca a este sonido suele quedarse por la innegable calidad y lo original de una propuesta muy personal, que posee un sello muy reconocible, autodenominado "Cosmic hard rock" pero con elementos variados desde el power al sonido electrónico y progresivo. Desde 2017 no editaban un LP y en este 2022 nos dejan este disco conceptual que habla de los problemas que el maltrato del ser humano al medio ambiente, personalizando en el agua, pueden desencadenar. Canciones para una vida - Keldian - Nightfall

NIGHTFALL

"Nightfall" es otra de las canciones de la nueva obra de los noruegos Keldian, un grupo del que ya he hablado en el blog en varias ocasiones y que como ya he dicho resulta difícil de encasillar en un estilo concreto pues es lo suficientemente diferente a lo habitual como para encabezar un subgénero nuevo, algo que con este nuevo disco han llevado un paso aún más allá. En principio, la escucha de la nueva obra me echó algo para atrás, en el sentido de un aumento del concepto electrónico y un aumento también en la dirección progresiva si se quiere de la obra en general, pero la escucha reposada me ha hecho ver a este "Darkness and light" como una obra nuevamente super interesante. Sigue manteniendo la esencia del grupo aunque la experimentación va un paso más allá y la producción, impecable como siempre, ha generado un disco realmente no apto para todos los públicos metálicos, probablemente ni siquiera para todos los seguidores habituales de la banda por los motivos antes citados. sin embargo al final el regusto que me queda es bueno, muy bueno, y otro buen ejemplo es este "Nightfall" que abre el disco, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Keldian - Blood Red Dawn

BLOOD  RED  DAWN

 Primer adelanto del que será cuarto album de la banda noruega Keldian, y que verá de forma oficial la luz a finales del presente mes de Octubre. Para todos aquellos que ya conozcan a la banda este tema de adelanto promete que la nueva obra vuelva a ahondar más aún en el concepto compositivo que ha caracterizado su sonido en una trayectoria de más ya de diez años. Melodías con preponderancia del sonido de teclados pero con una estructura de construcción de los temas muy power. Todo en esta banda está absolutamente cuidado, cada detalle destila calidad y eso se nota en el resultado final haciendo que los que disfrutamos del sonido de Keldian estemos ya deseando escuchar el material nuevo por completo. Como decía más arriba, de momento habrá que ir conformándose con este primer adelanto, "Blood red dawn",del que dejo un enlace a Youtube de su lyric vídeo oficial, toda una declaración de intenciones de por donde siguen yendo los tiros musicales de Keldian.

REAPER

 Estos noruegos hacen una música diferente, basada en melodías de sintetizador que le dan un aire electrónico a su música pero con un toque muy épico y también muy espacial en algunos de sus temas y con potentes riffs de guitarra, en un power metal muy limpio. Tienen tres discos de estudio, autoproducidos y esto no debe asustarnos pues es una producción muy cuidada que saca un sonido limpísimo. Formados en 2005, este par de noruegos funcionaron bajo el nombre de Keld hasta 2006 en que cambian su nombre a Keldian.Será en 2007 cuando saquen su primer larga duración, este "Heaven's Gate" del que hoy quiero dejar un enlace a una de sus canciones, la impresionante "requiem for the light", una canción espectacular al más puro estilo Keldian. Después han sacado otro par de discos, en 2008 y 2013, siempre autoproducidos, y con dificultades económicas, y al escuchar su material uno solo puede preguntarse como es posible que ninguna discográfica les apoye, habiendo tanta basura publicada con el apoyo de una multinacional.... en fin... cosas del mundo de la música. Ya nos hemos referido a esta obra en el blog, "Journey of souls", de 2008,  para destacar su tema "God Of War", y hoy quiero repetir con "Reaper", aunque recomiendo todo el disco entero, me gusta mucho el sonido de esta, de momento, menospreciada banda. F.T.L.

La tercera y de momento última obra de estos noruegos, "Outbound" de 2013. Ya hemos hablado de Keldian antes, todo un soplo de aire fresco en esto del heavy.  Hacen una musica diferente, basada en melodias de sintetizador que le dan un aire electrónico a su música pero con un toque muy épico y tambien muy espacial en algunos de sus temas y con potentes riffs de guitarra, en un power metal muy limpio. Tienen tres discos de estudio, autoproducidos y esto no debe asustarnos pues es una producción muy cuidada que saca un sonido limpisimo. Formados en 2005, este par de noruegos funcionaron bajo el nombre de Keld hasta 2006 en que cambian su nombre a Keldian. Será en 2007 cuando saquen su primer larga duración,  "Heaven's Gate" . Después han sacado otro par de discos, en 2008 y el que hoy nos ocupa en 2013, siempre autoproducidos, y con dificultades económicas para sacarlos adelante. Esta tercera obra la han editado a través de lo que ellos llaman "Contributors", gente anónima que les ha adelantado el dinero de la producción del disco mediante una especie de "pago por adelantado" de su copia, que luego pueden solicitar a la banda, toda una idea en estos tiempos que corren. El disco desde luego merece la pena, y es que este grupo deberia contar con el apoyo de una discográfica porque calidad les sobra. Escoged cualquier tema que sonará bien. Yo quiero dejar un enlace a youtube de su tema "F.T.L.", uno de los mejores del album, y una buena prueba de lo que son capaces de hacer estos chicos.

Tienen tres discos de estudio, autoproducidos y esto no debe asustarnos pues es una producción muy cuidada que saca un sonido limpisimo. Canciones para una vida - Keldian - God of war

GOD OF WAR

Este grupo tan desconocido como bueno esta formado por tan solo dos componentes y lleva en activo desde 2005. Los noruegos Keldian hacen una musica diferente, basada en melodias de sintetizador que le dan un aire electronico a su musica pero con un toque muy epico y tambien muy espacial en algunos de sus temas y con potentes riffs de guitarra, en un power metal muy limpio. Tienen tres discos de estudio, autoproducidos y esto no debe asustarnos pues es una producción muy cuidada que saca un sonido limpisimo. Muy enganchones, con un estilo muy propio que para mi gusto cuando llegue a mas público debería ser reconocido en lo que vale. La canción que hoy os propongo es God of war, un tema perteneciente a su segundo disco Journey of souls de 2008, uno de los temas que más me gustan aunque es una de esas bandas más que de una canción de un disco entero, vamos que encontrareis muchas joyas entre su discografía. Espero que os guste, estos chicos merecen una oportunidad, desde luego talento les sobra. Dejo un enlace a youtube.
