Los germanos Victorius han sabido buscar su hilo conductor lírico de una manera muy personal, y aunque su sonido power europeo no sea algo tan original como sus letras, estas les hacen reconocibles con su lucha entre dinosaurios y criaturas prehumanas y los ninjas espaciales. Así tomado parece que no tenga demasiado sentido, sin embargo el fino sonido power de la banda justifica de sobra que utilicen el argumento que quieran para sus canciones. Justa antes de comenzar su gira europea con Warkings han editado un single nuevo este recién pasado 3 de abril, "Total T, Rex Terror", tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Victorius - Katana Kingdom Rising

 

KATANA  KINGDOM  RISING

Los germanos Victorius siguen con paso firme su carrera, poco a poco con un objetivo más claro, más específico, sobre todo en su concepto creativo en la parte lírica, también en la estilística pero este giro se ha notado menos ya que desde el comienzo han escogido el marco del europower para sus discos, solo que han pasado de un concepto más clásico fantástico épico con las prototípicas escenas de batallas y demás, a un concepto más particular, casi de videojuego con ninjas y dinosaurios como seña de identidad. Como digo la identidad compositiva sigue siendo europower como queda patente en su último trabajo publicado a fecha de esta reseña, "Dinosaur warfare pt. II", del pasado 2022, en temas por ejemplo como "Katana Kingdom Rising", del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Victorius - Victorious Dinogods

 

VICTORIOUS  DINOGODS

 En estos tiempos que corren donde en todos los ambitos de la vida parece que todo está ya inventado, y la música no parece una excepción, el individuo y en este caso cada banda parece tratar de buscar su propio espacio, para así resultar lo más original posible imagino, y destacar en ese campo menos trillado, donde los ojos del gran público se puedan posar con mayor facilidad que el algo más genérico habiendo tal saturación de bandas a nivel planetario. Y en estas están también "Victorius" los power metaleros germanos que han ido modelando su propio sonido dotándolo poco a poco de personalidad propia. En este caso concreto creo que hay que diferenciar entre dos puntos, uno es el estrictamente compositivo, donde no destaca la banda por un sonido original, sino que se centran en un power de corte europeo, un poco de la escuela sueca pero también de la propia, la alemana, sonando un poco hibirdado entre por ejemplo elementos de Freedom Call con otros de bandas como Dragonforce por ejemplo. La originalidad se les puede atribuir en la temática lírica, pues han decidido centrarse en una suerte de rollete futurista pero al tiempo prehistórico, como una especie de mezcla entre Jurassic Park y Transformers, la verdad un poco pillado por los pelos, pero parece ser su inspiración, así que no seré yo el que diga nada negativo al respecto. Su tres o cuatro primeros discos se centraban en temas más tradicionales del power metal, batallas, historia, fantasía, paro sus dos últimas obras sobre todo han dado ese giro temático mencionado. El sexto LP de la banda,"Dinosaur Warfare Pt. 2 - The Great Ninja War" de este 2022 da continuidad al nuevo camino, y de él dejo hoy en el blog el tema "Victorious Dinogods", del que dejo un enlace a Youtube

Canciones para una vida - Victorius - Wrath Of The Dragongod

WRATH  OF  THE  DRAGONGOD

 Los alemanes "Victorius" parecen coger velocidad de crucero sacando material, y poco a poco van encontrando su sitio dentro del panorama internacional, dentro del power metal pero apuntando cada vez más a lo que hacen por ejemplo bandas como "Dragonforce", con ese punto extra de velocidad y un sonido un tanto electrónico si se quiere, a lo que contribuyen también cada vez más las temáticas que ultimamente están utilizando, Japón, ninjas dinosaurios, etc, siempre ciencia ficción pero desde esas perspectiva tan personal. El grupo en lo estrictamente musical van rozando ese power acelerado, bien ejecutado y en muchas ocasiones facil de retener en la memoria desde el principio, un grupo acorde a los nuevos pulsos modernos que las generaciones más nuevas dentro de lo metálico aceptarán mejor que las que llevan más tiempo en esto. "Space ninjas from hell" de este 2020, es la quinta obra de estudio del grupo, su quinto LP desde 2010 en que comenzaron a editar su propia música, y de él quiero hoy dejar el tema "Wrath of the dragongod", canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Victorius - Hero

HERO

Primer adelanto de la nueva obra de los alemanes "Victorius", la cuarta ya en su carrera, de título "Heart of the Phoenix" y que salio a la venta el pasado 13 de enero. Como ya dije sobre la banda en mi anterior entrada sobre ellos, Victorius es una banda que a pesar de no haber llegado a unas cotas de popularidad muy elevadas sin embargo llevan ya detrás de ellos una carrera bastante larga, desde 2004. El caso es que si lo tuyo es el power metal, con una pincelada moderna, un poco al estilo de "Sturm und drang", una mirada atrás al power clásico como el de Sonata, y un pelín más de velocidad tipo Dragonforce por ejemplo, estás ante una banda que podría resultarte interesante. Tampoco es que hayan descubierto nada nuevo, y he de reconocer que quizá un disco completo de la banda se me haga demasiado largo, lo que no quita que su sonido resulte interesante y que puedas disfrutar de algún buen tema de su discografía. Otro buen ejemplo podría ser este primer adelanto, "Hero", del que hoy quiero dejar un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

TWILIGHT  SKIES

Victorius es una banda alemana, que a pesar de no haber llegado a unas cotas de popularidad muy elevadas sin embargo llevan ya detrás de ellos una carrera bastante larga, desde 2004, habiendo editado en ese tiempo un total de 3 LP's, y estando a punto de dar salida a la cuarta obra, "Heart of the Phoenix", que se espera para comienzos de 2017. El caso es que si lo tuyo es el power metal, con una pincelada moderna, un poco al estilo de "Sturm und drang", una mirada atrás al power clásico como el de Sonata, y un pelín más de velocidad tipo Dragonforce por ejemplo, estás ante una banda que podría resultarte interesante.
