Power Paladin - Sword Vigor

SWORD  VIGOR 

Ya desde el primer momento los islandeses Power Paladin recibieron las miradas de todos los amantes del power metal a través de su debut de 2022 "With the magic of the windfyre steel", sobre todo de la parte defensora del sonido europeo, que ellos practican. En este inminente 2026 publicarán su segundo disco de estudio "Beyond the reach of enchantment", cuya salida oficial se espera para el 27 de marzo, y del que nos han dejado ya su primer adelanto "Sword vigor", una confirmación de su propuesta inicial, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Power Paladin - Creatures Of The Night

 

CREATURES  OF  THE  NIGHT

Los amantes del sonido power de corte europeo no pueden dejar pasar la ocasión de asomarse al nacimiento de esta banda, Power Paladin, que cuenta, ya sin saber nada acerca de ellos aparte de la estética de su portada o del origen nórdico de sus componentes, con todos los ingredientes imaginados posibles, todos los tópicos que aglutinaron los grandes de siempre dentro del subgénero, desde la temática fantástica hasta la estructura compositiva. Se trata simplemente de lo que parece, y parece que la banda tiene mimbres para desarrollar una consistente carrera por la senda que han escogido, aunque eso solo el tiempo terminará por decirlo, ya sabemos que aparte de lo musical estrictamente hay que atender a muchas otras razones para que una banda termine por cosolidarse y triunfar. El caso es que su primer LP de este 2022, "with the magic of the windfyre steel" ofrece varios buenos momentos destacables, entre los que también está este tema que hoy dejo en el blog, "creatures of the night" canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Power Paladin - Into the Forbidden Forest

 

INTO  THE  FORBIDDEN  FOREST

Los islandeses Power Paladin desembarcan en la escena internacional de la mano de un power metal de corte europeo con absolutamente todos los clichés, han ido siguiendo paso a paso el manual de power para dar forma a su primer LP, "With the magic of the windfyre steel" que ha visto la luz la primera semana de este 2022. No solo en lo sonoro con la influencia reconocida de los grandes del subgénero muestran ese ABC del power, sino también en lo lírico se nuren de fantasía épica con sus caballeros, criaturas míticas y batallas, como digo un prototipo para los amantes de subgénero. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog otro de los temas que componen este debut, concretamente "Into the forbidden forest", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Power Paladin - Righteous Fury

 

RIGHTEOUS  FURY

La maquinaria productiva musical nórdica no para de sacar bandas nuevas que se unen a las ya existentes, concretamente en este caso dentro del subgénero del power. Hablamos en esta ocasión de la escena islandesa para hacerlo del inminente primer LP de estudio de "Power Paladin", una banda formada en 2017 que verá publicado este debut a mediados de Enero de 2022, por título "With the magic ofwindfyre steel". Como decía al inicio estamos hablando de un power de corte europeo, muy de la escuela sueca por ejemplo, por lo tanto hablamos de calidad, de limpieza en lo que a producción se refiere, a pesar de no contar aún con apoyo discográfico, es decir, autoproducido. El primer single se titula "Righteous Fury" y cuenta todos los ingredientes que cabe esperar del género, más alguna sorpresa como una leve incursión en terrenos vocales más death, pero solo a modo de pincelada, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
