ROLL THE FIRE
Un poco de heavy progresivo noruego hoy en nuestro blog. Son Conception, formados como digo en Noruega en 1989, por Freddy Samsonstuen (Bajo), Werner Skogli (Batería), Dag Østby (Cantante) y Tore Østby (Guitarra) . En 1992 forma parte del grupo el teclista Hans Christian Gjestvang, aunque por ese puesto han pasado 4 músicos distintos. En 1991 Conception ve como Dag Ostby tiene que dejar el grupo viéndose obligados a buscar un nuevo cantante y Roy Khan entra también en la banda, vocalista que se haría posteriormente famoso por su trabajo con Kamelot. Conception hace un power metal progresivo, y han estado en activo entre los años 1989 y 1998, habiendo editado en esos años 4 discos de estudio, el primero en 1991, ya con Khan como cantante y el último de 1997, coincidiendo con la salida de Khan de Conception para engrosar las filas de Kamelot. Parte del resto de la banda termina formando con el impulso de Tore Ostby la banda noruega progresiva "ARK" que terminaría introduciendo a Jorn Lande en funciones vocales. Volviendo a Conception, hoy quiero dejar una canción de su segunda obra "Parallel Minds", de 1993, un disco de corte abiertamente progresivo con muy buenos temas, como este "Roll the fire" del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
