Canciones para una vida - Eluveitie - Breathe

BREATHE

 Segunda canción de la última obra editada por los suizos "Eluveitie" que traigo al blog, un disco que en lineas generales me ha gustado más de lo que la banda venía grabando en las últimas ocasiones, con un cierto retorno a los orígenes, (sin exagerar), pero si en la buena línea. Tampoco quiero repetirme con  lo dicho anteriormente, tan solo dejar otra de las canciones que me han llamado la atención de este "Ategnatos", octavo álbum del grupo y del que hoy dejo en el blog la canción "Breathe" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Atlas Pain - Kia Kaha

KIA  KAHA

Redundando en lo dicho con anterioridad sobre esta banda, dejo hoy otra de las canciones de su último disco publicado, "Tales of a pathfinder" de este 2019. Se trata tan solo de su segundo larga duración, pero estos italianos han demostrado en su aún corta carrera musical que saben muy bien a quien quieren parecerse y el estilo que quieren tocar, ese death melódico y épico muy en la onda de "Equilibrium", y precisamente, este "Kia Kaha" que hoy dejo en el blog, su primer single de la citada segunda y última obra es una de esas canciones donde se refleja todo lo dicho, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Avalanch - The Flower In The Ice

THE  FLOWER  IN  THE  ICE

La vuelta a la senda compositiva de material nuevo bajo el nombre de Avalanch se ha hecho esperar pero finalmente ya está aquí. Se trata de la décimo tercera obra de estudio del grupo asturiano, como digo bajo el nombre de Avalanch, "El Secreto", y para la ocasión se ha editado una versión cantada en español y otra en inglés, "The Secret", posiblemente con la pretensión de una mayor repercusión en el mercado internacional, un acierto en mi humilde opinión. En lo sonoro vemos una obra muy cuidada en lo compositivo y con una producción también de buen nivel, y aunque no cuenten con apoyo de discográfica no repercute en absoluto en lo que uno podría esperar de una banda con una experiencia ya larga en esto de la música. 100 % sonido Avalanch, sin duda alguna una de las bandas españolas que más me agradan desde sus comienzos. dejo un enlace a youtube del clip oficial de la versión española de "The flower in the ice", "La flor en el hielo".

Canciones para una vida - TT Quick - Eye Of The Storm

EYE  OF  THE  STORM

Como siempre la dorada época de los ochenta es una fuente aparentemente inagotable de bandas y talentos en cada puesto dentro del heavy metal, fuente de influencias posteriores y fundamento por lo tanto de lo que vendría después, hasta nuestros días. Hoy quiero volver una vez más a esa década para volver igualmente a un grupo que ya he traído al blog con anterioridad, "TT Quick", un grupo estadounidense con un sonido muy heavy metal de la época, y a pesar de su origen americano en ocasiones con una propuesta más europea que la que le correspondería por origen. No repetiré lo ya dicho en el blog sobre el grupo, tan solo hacer notar la presencia en lo vocal de Mark Tornillo, bastante de moda tras hacerse con las riendas vocales de nada menos que Accept, y que estuvo igualmente al frente, en lo vocal, en TT Quick, a lo largo de los tres albumes de la banda. TRIUMPH  AND  DEATH  &  HEART  OF  STONE

La carrera tan prolífica del guitarrista y compositor Cederick Forsberg ha sido ya, en varias ocasiones, comentada en este blog, en su facilidad a la hora de crear proyectos diferentes y la gran cantidad de material en relativamente poco tiempo que compone para cada uno de dichos proyectos. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una canción de la última obra de uno de esos proyectos, en concreto del "Runningwildesco" Blazon Stone, que en este 2019 ha visto como se editaba su ya quinto LP em apenas 8 años desde su creación bajo ese nombre. Si ya conoces el material previo de esta banda ya sabrás lo que puedes esperar, si no es así te sorprenderá el sonido tan parecido a Running Wild.  El décimo disco de estudio de los finlandeses "Children Of Bodom" está resultando ser una obra que muestra perfectamente el concepto musical de la banda, o lo que podríamos llamar un sonido acorde a lo que podría esperarse de ellos. Con un cierto retorno a la vertiente más melódica de la banda, encontramos una colección de temas que sin duda son de los que rápidamente se meten en la cabeza.Si parece haberse perdido para la ocasión un tanto la vena brutal, pero esa atmósfera Children Of Bodom esta completamente presente. Canciones para una vida - Judicator - The Queen Of All Cities

THE  QUEEN  OF  ALL  CITIES

 Un nuevo repaso al último trabajo de los estadounidenses Judicator, "The last emperor", editado el pasado 2018 nos sirve para, una vez más, redundar en la misma idea que acude a nuestra cabeza al enfrentarnos a material de este grupo, calidad, y un estilo power mucho más propio de la escena europea que de la americana de la que proceden. Un sonido europeo que se agudiza más aún al comparar inevitablemente la voz del cantante con la de uno de los grandes en dicho puesto, "Hansi Kursch" de Blind Guardian. Sirva como ejemplo del citado buen hacer otra de las canciones extraídas de la citada obra, "The queen of all cities", un tema de nueve minutos, del que dejo un enlace a youtube.

BOOK  OF  A  HERO

De nuevo vuelvo a "Grailknights", esa banda alemana gran ejemplo de originalidad en lo estético, y no solo, puesto que su concepto personal de lo que debe ser un disco auna en una sola banda elementos dispares de diversos subgéneros siempre para un resultado final tan bueno como poco reconocido, y hoy quiero dejar en el blog a modo de nuevo ejemplo otra de las canciones de su, hasta la fecha de esta reseña, último trabajo publicado, "Knightfall" de 2018. Ejemplo de originalidad y versatilidad es el medio tiempo "Book of a hero" del que hoy quiero dejar un enlace a youtube. Un grupo que, una vez más, debería tener mayor reconocimiento, aunque su puesta en escena se preste a no tomárselos demasiado en serio.

Canciones para una vida - Grand Magus - Dawn Of Fire

DAWN  OF  FIRE

El noveno disco de estudio de la banda sueca "Grand Magus" se titula "Wolf God" y ha visto la luz este recién pasado 14 de abril. Como ya he dicho en otras ocasiones sobre la banda, se trata de un grupo con su sonido en clave de heavy, power metal, doom metal. El grupo ha encontrado un camino personal en lo estilístico, con un sonido reconocible y perfilado a lo largo y ancho de sus ya casi 20 años de existencia como banda bajo el nombre de "Grand Magus". Por lo tanto, en lo referente a la última obra del grupo, "Wolf God", encontramos más de lo mismo, para lo bueno y lo no tan bueno, como podría ser esa sensación de monotonía al escuchar un disco completo de la banda, pero desde luego cuando aciertan, aciertan, como en caso de la canción "Dawn of fire", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Canciones para una vida - Freternia - Reborn

REBORN

Grandes noticias desde Suecia una vez más, al referirme a la banda "Freternia", un grupo del que ya he hablado con anterioridad en el blog y que tuvo una etapa demasiado corta en mi opinión, para el potencial que atesoraba y que quedo absolutamente patente en los dos LP's que editaron a comienzos del presente siglo. En realidad el grupo nunca terminó por separarse, pero dejaron de lado lo compositivo y más parecía eso que otra cosa, 2009 fue un año en que dieron señales de vida con un EP publicado, pero ha sido una década más tarde cuando parecen volver a la carga con lo que será su tercer LP de estudio "The Gathering", que verá la luz el próximo 14 de junio. De momento nos dejan el primer adelanto, "Reborn",esperemos que un título profético a juzgar por lo bien que suena, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube .

Canciones para una vida - Hammerfall - (We Make) Sweden Rock

 Los suecos Hammerfall son otra de esas bandas que hacen girar la cabeza con cada uno de sus nuevos movimientos . Cosechando opiniones a favor casi en la misma medida que en contra, lo que es indudable es la expectación cada vez que se deciden a crear material nuevo.Y en esas estamos, el próximo 16 de agosto verá la luz el disco número once de estudio de la banda en una carrera que se extiende ya más allá de los 20 años. Es evidente que este grupo tiene más que claro a lo que quieren sonar, habiendo sabido crear un sello personal que es marca de la casa, y por lo escuchado en su primer single de adelanto, estamos en dicho sonido. Canciones para una vida - Beast In Black - Die By The Blade

DIE  BY  THE  BLADE

 No se durante cuanto tiempo las dos bandas finlandesas "Beast in Black" y "Battle Beast" seguirán solapando sus carreras, con ese marcaje tan estrecho que, al menos, actualmente llevan a cabo. De todas maneras, siempre que se habla de una de las bandas parece casi obligado mencionar a la otra por todo lo que implica tener un nexo común a ambas como Anton Kabanen, y esa polémica salida que ha derivado en esa competencia evidente que hay entre ellos. De cualquier manera creo sinceramente que hay escena suficiente para ambos grupos y espero terminar disociando a los grupos más adelante, más ahora que se van asentando cada uno en su puesto. Canciones para una vida - Battle Beast - Raise Your Fists

RAISE  YOUR  FISTS

 Traigo de nuevo el último disco publicado por la banda finlandesa "Battle Beast" con la intención de romper una lanza en su favor. Debo reconocer que al comienzo de escuchar la citada obra sentí que no iba a surtir ninguna opinión buena en mi, sobre todo atendiendo al single que da nombre a la obra. Sin embargo, para ser justos, más allá de la polémica que siempre acompañará a la banda, la salida de Kabanen  y la creación de Beast In Black, creo que la banda ha encontrado finalmente su propia parcela sonora, evidentemente con muchas similitudes a lo que hacían en tiempos de Kabanen, pero este disco me ha parecido una apuesta más personal si se quiere y eso es digno al menos de respeto. Canciones para una vida - Manegarm - Ett Sista Farval

ETT  SISTA  FARVAL

La nueva obra de los suecos "Manegarm" va desvelando sus secretos, y como era de esperar en una banda de este calibre, se va uno encontrando con canciones de esas que le acompañarán en el futuro en incontables ocasiones. Este ya noveno disco de estudio del grupo, sigue la linea de lo publicado anteriormente, temáticas y sonido incluidos, con la cuestión viquinga presente por completo y esa mezcla entre el death melódico y el folk nórdico y épico a partes iguales que hacen de su sonido un sello propio. Buen ejemplo es esta otra canción sacada de "Fornaldarsagor", de este 2019, "Ett Sista Farval" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube de su "Lyric video" oficial.

Canciones para una vida - Rage - Time And Place

TIME  AND  PLACE

Hoy de nuevo toca ir a tiro seguro, a obra, banda y época 100 % contrastada para recurrir a uno de esos grupos que han sabido hacerse un nombre para siempre ya en esto del heavy. Se trata de Rage, del "Perfect Man" y del año 1988. Se trata del tercer trabajo de los alemanes, obra a la que ya he recurrido con anterioridad y a la que casi con total seguridad volveré a recurrir con posterioridad ya que practicamente en su totalidad el disco es para enmarcar. Power speed metal, de ese que abrió caminos y sirvió de ejemplo, música de calidad de la que entra en tu cabeza para quedarse, una definición de como hacer bien las cosas. De esta citada tercera obra de Rage, hoy quiero dejar en el blog su canción "Time and place" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
