WARRIORS  OF  THOR

Sleipnir es una banda británica cuyo concepto musical queda patente desde la propia elección del nombre para el grupo, Sleipnir, el caballo mitológico de ocho patas que pertenecía a Odin en ocasiones montado para llegar hasta "Hel" (El reino de la muerte). Por lo tanto no debe extrañarnos descubrir que su sonido es un viking metal de corte épico con claras reminiscencias a bandas como Bathory, o Falkenbach con dosis de Forefather en la melodía y un concepto lírico un tanto "manowarístico". El grupo lo forman en 2005 dos músicos, "Darklord" que se encarga de guitarra, bajo, teclados, batería efectos sonoros y apoyo vocal, y Tossell cantante principal. Hasta la fecha de esta reseña han editado dos LP's, "Bloodbrothers" en 2008, y "Oaths Sworn in Blood and mead", de 2013, con un progresivo alargamiento de los temas, muy en onda Falkenbach. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog un tema de su primer LP, una obra que en mi humilde opinión merece una oportunidad si eres amante del sonido antes mencionado, un disco propietario de épicas melodías, con pasajes instrumentales muy interesantes, por ejemplo baste con la escucha del triplete de canciones "Bloodbrothers, partes 1, 2 y 3".
