SIGN  OF  THE  CROSS 

Vuelta a uno de esos momentos que en general se reconocen como puntos de inflexión o de influencia a partir de ese instante, 2001, Avantasia, y el concepto de opera rock, algo que ya existia previamente pero que Sammet elevó de nivel por varios motivos, el caso es que este primer disco del por entonces proyecto "The metal Opera" ha sido reconocido en la enorme importancia que tiene, la tremenda calidad y el gran hacer compositivo e interpretativo, e incluso como hito metálico histórico con la recuperación de Kiske para el heavy metal tras su inexplicable periodo de negación del mismo por parte del carismático vocalista alemán.
