THE  ANCIENT  WILL  OF  THE  PROPHECY

Solo con ver tanto el origen (Italia), como la portada, (Dragón...), como el sello discográfico que le ha apoyado (Underground Symphony) uno se hace una idea, a priori bastante acertada de como va a sonar esta banda, basandonos en los antecedentes que hay con esos rasgos en otras bandas anteriores. Esta claro que esa temática épico fantástica tuvo la mejor de sus épocas unas décadas atrás pero siempre hay bandas nuevas que deciden probar esos senderos y "Heroes of forgotten kingdoms" es una de ellas. Se nota igualmente que han tomado nota de otras bandas relativamente nuevas, (así sobre todo me vienen a la cabeza los suecos "Twilight force" en lo sonoro), y seguramente hayan tomado nota también en lo conceptual de bandas tipo Gloryhammer y compañía. Estamos hablando por lo tanto de un power con arreglos, orquestado, narrado, un tanto alejado del heavy metal clásico pero a la vez con ese punto que atraerá a los que vivieron la época grande de bandas como Rhapsody y todo tipo de sucedaneos que surgieron al calor del éxito de ellos. La verdad es que la obra que nos ocupa, "Dragonslayer" su primer y , hasta la fecha de esta reseña, único LP, del año 2018, se nota un poco "amateur" digamos, buenos conceptos e ideas, pero que deberán ser perfilados en futuras obras, por ejemplo la interminable intro que uno no puede evitar saltarse. Sin embargo, hay rasgos que indican un potencial que deberían explotar, como el que se encuentra en le canción que hoy dejo en el blog, "The ancient will of the prophecy", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
