ONE  WITH  THE  SEA

Una vez escuchada la obra por completo, la octava de estudio, "Thalassic" del presente 2020, puedo hacerme una idea del panorama que rodea a esta gran banda. Estamos hablando de un grupo que, sin duda de ningún tipo, han pasado por momentos mejores, con una cierta y notable mejoría en mi opinión, respecto al pasado LP "Two Paths", que considero el suelo de la banda de momento. Es innegable para mí que esta banda, que en sus inicos rozó para mi la perfección, siendo un grupo de discos completos, actualmente lo considero una banda de canciones más que de discos completos, y este "Thalassic" confirma 100% mi idea. El problema de rozar la perfección. como sin duda hizo la banda sobre todo en sus dos primeros LP's, también en los que la mente de Jari Maempaa estaba sumando, es que después suele comenzar la experimentación, los cambios y la inevitable cuesta abajo, aunque siempre tras la marca Ensiferum existe la calidad y el potencial. Este disco de este año destaca en la incorporación de ese componente power en lo vocal con la incorporación del nuevo teclista, un rasgo nuevo que se hace notar aunque no se si es el más apropiado para Ensiferum, veremos por donde van evolucionando las cosas. Quiero dejar hoy en el blog otra de las canciones que me han gustado de la obra, "One with the sea", con ese aire compositivo clásico del grupo en el que han engranado bien ese nuevo rasgo vocal al que hacía referencia, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
