EYE  OF  THE  STORM

Black Abyss es una banda alemana cuya música bordea varios estilos, tomando elementos de aquí y allá para formar un sonido propio pero que bebe de la base del power-heavy metal tradicional de corte europeo. La banda tiene tras ellos una trayectoria tan larga como poco reconocida, en parte quizá por su corta productividad ya que se formaron nada menos que en 1990 pero no editaron material propio hasta 1998. Además, desde ese 98 han editado un total de cuatro LP's formando una discografía que se antoja bastante escasa para pretensiones internacionales más altas. Sin embargo, si uno se sumerge en su discografía, se dará cuenta de los muy buenos momentos que se pueden disfrutar con sus composiciones encontrando regustos en muchos de sus temas a diferentes bandas de renombre. Así, por ejemplo en el tema que hoy dejo en el blog, "Eye of the storm" no será raro que la mente nos traiga el recuerdo de Hansi Kursch y Blind Guardian, sobre todo a nivel coros. Como digo, la banda ha editado cuatro discos de estudio y hoy quiero dejar un tema de la segunda obra, "Land of Darkness", el citado "Eye of the storm" que es una buena canción para descubrir a este grupo, una vez más demasiado anónimo para sus buenas virtudes, una canción de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
