AWAKENING

Crosswind son una contundente banda de power metal que vienen desde Grecia. La historia de esta banda comienza a finales de los 90, y a pesar de su larga trayectoria juntos su funcionamiento ha sido más que nada en la escena underground europea y de su país, habiendo editado tres demos, en 1998, 2007 y 2009, un recopilatorio sobre ellas y un LP editado en 2014, "Vicious Dominion". Curiosamente durante todo este tiempo la formación ha permanecido estable, y el único cambio que ha habido en el grupo ha sucedido en el puesto del cantante en 2013. Realmente, mirando su biografía nos dicen que desde que salio su primera demo en 1998 hasta 2005 la banda en realidad estuvo inactiva, lo que explica su silencio en esos años. La salida en 2007 de su segunda demo, "beyond" les volvió a poner en el mapa de "promesas a seguir", algo que confirman en su tercera demo, "Opposing Forces", de 2009, una demo-EP de la que hoy quiero dejar un tema en el blog. Esta demo-EP cuenta con cuatro buenos temas, uno de ellos la versión de Queensryche “Walk in the Shadows”, o el tema que quiero dejar hoy en el blog, "Awakening". La buena acogida del material de la banda se plasmó en grandes críticas a su trabajo, y además les dio pie a poder tocar en vivo junto con bandas como Virgin Steele, Kamelot, Arch Enemy o Manowar. En 2014 editarían finalmente su primer LP, "Vicious Dominion". Como decía más arriba quiero dejar el temazo "Awakening" en el blog, un tema que no deja lugar a dudas del enorme potencial con que cuenta este grupo, y del que dejo un enlace a youtube.
