WELCOME  TO  THE  SHADOWS

Es peligroso, o atrevido, mencionar por parte de un autor que su nueva obra es lo mejor, o lo más personal que puede llegar a hacer, es demasiada información y mencionarlo demuestra además como mínimo valentía. el caso es que desde siempre, en su aventura en solitario a través de Avantasia o con su banda madre Edguy, el bueno de Tobias Sammet ha tenido siempre muy claro que debía seguir su instinto, y creo que no le debe preocupar demasiado otro tipo de cosas. Al final que una obra sea lo mejor o lo peor que un músico cree es solo el juicio del oyente y al final es el músico el que debe ser fiel a su necesidad compositiva, y de ahí la reflexion inicial, es peligroso asegurar que esta es la mejor obra que Sammet ha creado, como el ha mencionado, la más cercana a si mismo, pues deja abierta la puerta a las críticas en función de dicha frase. Lo que puedo decir es que encuentro puntos diferentes quizá en este último LP, como el aire ochentero de la parte sobre todo "teclistica" de este tema, "Welcome to the shadows", una atmósfera en ocasiones de película de los ochenta, lo cual personalmente para mí no es en absoluto negativo.
