BLOOD  AND  SAND

Cuatro años han pasado desde la publicación del anterior trabajo de estudio de los germanos "Custard", otra de esas bandas que contra viento y marea y con el éxito y reconocimiento internacional dandoles la espalda han sabido mantener la ilusión de seguir sacando trabajos con una cierta irregularidad en lo que a fechas se refiere. Formados en 1987 no será hasta 1996 cuando editen su primer material de estudio en forma de EP. Desde entonces 7 LP's de estudio contando este nuevo completan su discografía lo que ilustra esa irregularidad a la que me refiero, practicamente un lustro para cada obra. "Imperium Rapax" es la séptima de dichas obras, y en ella parece, a juzgar por el primero de los adelantos "Blood and sand", que se mantiene ese concepto y ese aire típico del sonido de la banda, un heavy power metal muy de corte casi "true" si se quiere en ocasiones, bañado con ese aire power alemán característico. En la banda tan solo el batería Chris Klapper permanece desde el comienzo, (1987). El disco saldrá a la venta de forma oficial este próximo 3 de diciembre.
