FOR THE FUTURE

Raven es uno de esos clásicos británicos de nuestra música y su sonido lo  podemos clasificar como un hijo más del movimiento de la NWOBHM aunque con una cierta tendencia hacia el Speed metal y el thrash, un sonido que ellos mismos han denominado como "Athelic Rock". Comienzan su historia como banda en 1974 cuando se unen en este proyecto que en principio funcionó en la escena underground británica hasta que comienzan a editar material justo con el cambio de la década de los 70 a los 80. Desde entonces 13 LP's más dos EP's completan su discografía. La banda fue creada por los hermanos John y Mark Gallagher (Cantante y bajo John y Guitarra Mark), a quienes se une John Hasselvander en 1988 a la batería, y desde entonces mantienen la estabilidad. Su primer disco de estudio es "Rock until you drop", de 1981 y el último "Extermination" que se supone que saldrá en solo unos días. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una canción de su debut, "Rock until you drop", como antes decía de 1981, donde su influencia NWOBHM es mayor, un disco del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su tema "For the future".
