POWER
Segundo LP de los suizos "Megaton Sword", una de esas bandas que va poco a poco marcandose un camino desde 2018 en que se formaron. Ya con su primer EP en 2019 indicaron claramente que ellos iban a hacer música para si mismos, alejandose de los cliches del power europeo más facilones y vendibles, ellos pusieron más bien sus ojos desde el inicio en ese concepto épico clásico, en que crean todas las atmósferas con guitarras, y siempre con un cierto aire meláncólico oscuro, pausado pero no carente en absoluto de poderío, desarrollan su sonido. Desde la misma estética de sus portadas uno puede ver que lo suyo no es seguir la mayoría de tendencias, e incluso, fijandonos en la estética de las citadas portadas puede uno sin saber a priori nada de la banda, pensar que hablamos de bandas de death extremo, o de death metal melódico o atmosférico, pero lo hacemos de heavy metal clásico, particular, personal, épico, sin alardes, con una voz por ejemplo personal y reconocible, sin destacar pero efectiva, un tanto monótona, pero que logra bien el objetivo. Esta tercera obra, de este 2023, "Might & power" sigue por completo esa línea y de ella dejo hoy en el blog su canción "Power", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
