Canciones para una vida - Winterstorm - The Final Rise

THE FINAL RISE

Winterstorm es una banda alemana formada en 2008, cuyos integrantes en parte proceden del grupo "Circle of Grief", una banda con una influencia gótica, folk power que funcionó entre los años 1999 y 2008. Al separarse esta banda los músicos Sebastian Albrecht (Batería y cantante) y Peter Cerveny (Bajo),  empezaron a buscar otors músicos con los que dar forma a un nuevo proyecto, uniéndoseles Alexander Schirmer como cantante principal, "Michi" (Michael Liewald)  y "Armin" (Armin Haas), como guitarristas, y "Max" ( Matthias Müller) a los teclados. Así es como surge Winterstorm, una banda que se centra en un power metal de corte e influencia folk metal y de temática lírica fantástica y nórdica. Se trata de una muy buena banda que basa sus canciones en pegadizas y continuas melodías de bastante buena factura que pronto se te meten en la cabeza, y esto es así desde su primera obra de estudio, "A coming storm", de 2010. En total han editado tres larga duración, siendo la segunda de sus obras, "Kings will fall" de 2012 y la tercera "Cathyron" del pasado 2014. Las dos primeras obras practicamente autoproducidas siendo 2013 el año en que fichan por la discográfica "Noiseart Records" con la que editan su tercera obra. Se trata de una de esas bandas que claramente están completamente infravaloradas atendiendo a la calidad de sus composiciones. Para mi gusto sus tres discos son muy buenos aunque seguramente el segundo sea el que más me gusta y del que hablaremos en este blog en una futura ocasión. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog una canción de su primera obra de estudio, un tema que demuestra ese buen trabajo de melodías al que antes me refería que entran en tu cabeza para ya no abandonarla.
